The collision of the lightning bolt and the wood shield created a wave of energy that spread to the surroundings, sending debris and dust flying.

The wood shield shattered from the attack, and the woman was sent flying from the explosion force. Before she crashed to the ground, a man rushed over and caught her.

Noticing that it failed to kill its prey, the zombie opened its mouth and let out an angry roar, “Roar!!”

“Wife, are you alright?” the man asked worriedly.

Standing up with his help, the woman wiped the blood at the corner of her lips and said, “Husband, I am alright.”

“Be careful!” the nearby guard shouted when he saw the zombie rush toward the couple’s direction.

The moment he heard this warning, the man held his wife’s waist and leaped to the side, barely dodging the attack. Even with his speed, he was still injured. His flesh was burned by the zombie’s lightning and left a huge scorched wound, dripping with blood.
