Chapter 453: A Visitor From The Future
In the midst of the zombies’ roars and the tornado’s whistling, a cold, mechanical voice sounded in the young woman’s mind, “Host, we are currently on the ancient blue planet, year two thousand one hundred and eighty-eight CE.”
Hearing this, the young woman frowned for a moment and muttered, “Ancient blue planet? Isn’t the ancient blue planet destroyed millions of years ago?”
“Correct. Our location is indeed the ancient blue planet, fifty-eight years before the destruction,” Krayan replied.
After a moment, the young woman nodded and said, “Krayan, can you locate Gaia’s position?”
“The energy is insufficient. The search process failed.”
The young woman raised her head and noticed that countless monsters poured into the massive pit caused by her emergency landing. Looking at their rotten bodies and mindless movements, her eyes flashed with annoyance and killing intent.
“Krayan, how much energy do you have left? Can we access the full function?” she asked.
The mechanical voice went silent for a moment before it replied, “Five percent energy left. The accessible function: inventory bag.”
Hearing this, the young woman raised her arm and activated the system panel. When she saw the screen flashing with red color and huge, bold words of ‘LOW ENERGY WARNING’, she pressed her lips tightly.
Since she couldn’t access other functions, she could only find her sister manually. After she jumped down from the capsule, she waved her hand and the next moment, the capsule turned into a diamond earring and pierced her left ear.
“Roar!!”
Not long after, the zombies reached her location and bared their sharp teeth and claws at her. Seeing this scene, the young woman flicked her hands. In less than a second, her bracelets turned into two longswords, similar to Jin Xuyan’s longsword.
“Time to get to work,” she said as she narrowed her eyes.
Crash!
The next moment, her figure flickered and disappeared from her spot. Reappearing behind the zombies, she swung her longswords horizontally and split a group of zombies in half.
As black blood splashed to the ground, the zombies fell with a thud. While they no longer had their lower bodies, they still crawled on the ground, trying to grabbed her legs.
Seeing this, she frowned deeply and asked, “Krayan, what type of monsters are these?”
“Initiating scanning. Scanning complete. Information downloading is complete.”
After ten seconds, the mechanical voice added, “Host, this monster is a result of a failed experimental subject, known as a zombie by the ancient blue planet’s residents several million years ago.”
“One hundred percent pain resistance, high stamina, high scent sensitivity, high hearing sensitivity, slow and stiff movement, low intelligence. Weakness: brain. Energy source: crystal located in the brain.”
When she heard this, the young woman’s eyes turned cold as she muttered, “It seems that those bugs have already been destroying planets for millions of years using the same method.”
As soon as she finished her words, her figure flickered and disappeared from her spot. The moment she reappeared, she was standing twenty meters away.
Crash! Crash! Crash!
When she swung her longswords to clean the black blood on the blade, the zombies behind her suddenly split open and turned into countless pieces of rotten meat. Black blood spurted out like fountains, thickening the rancid stench in the air.
Raising her head, she saw the sky was covered with a layer of large birds. Looking at them, fascination flashed in her eyes. This was the first time she saw such a creature.
“Krayan, I once read in the history record that the residents of the ancient blue planet had a deep culture regarding the food they consumed. Can we eat that creature?” she asked as she pointed at the sky.
“Host, the creature is a mutant rock dove. It’s edible,” Krayan replied.
Hearing that the bird was edible, a smile finally appeared on the young woman’s face. With a flick of her hand, one of her long swords turned into a hand cannon. Raising her hand, she aimed at the dense flocks above her head and clenched her fist.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The next moment, the hand cannon fired several times, killing large groups of the mutant birds instantly. As the mutant birds fell to the ground, Krayan’s mechanical voice echoed in her mind, “Host, your attack is too powerful. The mutant rock doves are burned and inedible.”
After a moment of pause, it added, “A friendly warning: your attack consumed the system’s energy. You have four percent energy left now.”
When she heard this, the young woman was stunned. She glanced at her hand cannon and said, “Krayan, I only shot several times. How can it consume one percent of the energy?”
“Host, there is no accessible energy port in the surrounding area. Automatic recharging is impossible.”
“Then, how do we recover the system’s energy?” she said with a hint of frustration.
Krayan went silent for a moment before it replied, “Host, there is a trace of energy inside the zombies’ brains.”
Hearing this, the young woman walked toward the zombies’ corpses and looked around. After a while, she spotted the crystals glistening in the sunlight.
Bending down, she picked one of the crystals and asked, “Krayan, check if we can use this crystal.”
“Scanning complete. Host, we can use this crystal,” Krayan replied after a moment of silence.
“Good,” the young woman smiled and put the crystal into her inventory bag.
Now, with the energy source found in this so-called zombie, she no longer felt it was a waste of time to kill them. Right now, the zombies were an energy source for her, and they were much more pleasing to her eyes.
With this thought, she flicked her wrist, and the hand cannon and longsword in her hands transformed into a long, broad two-handed sword.
The sword looked like a fantasy zweihander used by a berserker in an online game as the blade gleamed with a cold, blue light.
Holding the handle with a blue dragon pattern on it, she bent her knees and leaped into the air. With a flip, she swung her sword as she channeled her energy into the blade.
Wush~ Crack! Crash! Crash!
