The group stood ten meters away from the Phantom Team and observed them for a while before a man in his thirties said, “This building is ours. We don’t want to harm you. You only need to pay us to leave this place.”

When the group heard this, they exchanged glances. Some of them eyed Jiao Lizhi and Pei Yixie with lust in their eyes, while the rest of the group waited for their leader to make the decision.

When everyone thought that he would shoot her, Pei Yixie turned to him and met his gaze. The next moment, the man’s body stiffened and his eyes widened in horror.

While staring at him, her lips lifted and she said, “Go ahead, pull the trigger.”

Everyone was stunned as they watched the man aim the gun at his own head. His hand trembled and his face turned pale. From his eyes, everyone could see his fear.

“P-please… spare me…” The man used all of his strength to utter the words.

Hearing this, Pei Yixie smiled sweetly at him and said, “The most important lesson I learned in my entire life is to never leave the root of trouble behind.

“Today, we already formed a hostile relationship. You say, if I let you go, will you never find me to avenge your humiliation today? The answer is no.”

As soon as she finished her words, the man pulled the trigger and shot himself in the head. Everyone was stunned by the situation, especially the group of ability-users.
