Capítulo 671: Peak Worlds Part 6

Reign stepped over the shattered remains of the wooden golem and began absorbing it.

As expected, fresh power coursed through him, and the restraints on his body loosened bit by bit.

‘What is this thing?’

He crouched to examine the core, picking up a small object that had been hidden deep within the destroyed creature.

A medallion. Its surface shimmered faintly, engraved with intricate runes he didn’t immediately recognize.

He got a feeling it was important, so he kept it for now.

‘So, where to next? Or should I just go straight ahead?’

In the end, he decided to keep it simple and just ran in one direction. Nothing here could touch him—his ‘weakened’ form could easily bulldozed anything that dared to stopped his advanced.

Tree after tree, cliff after cliff, he jumped and dove like a seasoned freerunner, only stopping when he reached a lake.

Kneeling, he dipped his hand into the water—and it disappeared, erased by its purifying force.

Any being who fed on darkness, malice, or forbidden power would find themselves in a disadvantage here.

BOOOM!

A column erupted from the lake, spiraling upward as if the lake itself had taken shape.

From it, a massive golem emerged. Its body was water, but not the simple liquid of rivers or rain—this was a fluid brimming with purification.

Streams of it wrapped around its limbs, always shifting, and every drop was lethal to the wicked—which, hilariously, meant Reign was technically in the danger zone.

Even divine energy didn’t feel this terrifying.

SWOOSH!

The moment he saw movements, he dodged to the side.

A whip of water slammed into the spot he just vacated, sending sprays in every direction.

He vaulted over another swing, landing lightly on the opposite shore.

The golem twisted, aiming a new strike, its liquid limbs flowing and reshaping faster any energy type weapons.

One mistake could cost his life—but Reign read its trajectory with ease.

The golem’s arm lashed out, a crashing torrent that split the ground, but he was already gone, darting past before the water settled.

Another strike came from above, hammering down like a falling pillar. He sidestepped, the impact exploding into mist beside him.

‘Not good,’ He jumped back, widening the gap. Even the mist drifting from the impact was dangerous in that quantity.

“You’re tough. Let’s see how you handle this.”

Reign raised a finger and unleashed a beam wrapped in death energy and lightning. It tore through the air like a lance, but the moment it touched the golem’s surface, it fizzled out after only a few meters.

He decided to change tactics.

Another volley shot forward, detonating inside the golem’s body.

For a moment, the explosions swelled—but then the immense water pressure crushed them down, swallowing the blasts before they could expand.

“Oh, you think you can just swallow my attacks? Let’s see how you handle this.”

Reign clasped his hands, forcing different energies to merge until a black orb pulsed between his palms. With a snap, it shot forward and tore through the water golem.

BOOOOOOM!

It was destroyed instantly, bursting into rain that poured over the lake.

Reign hid under the trees for cover, knowing even those scattered droplets carried purification strong enough to burn him.

The forest hissed as the rain touched bark and leaves, eating away at anything tainted.

After a while, the rain eased, and Reign thought it was over.

Then the lake began to churn, its surface rippling violently. From it’s depth, the golem rose again—whole, as if nothing had happened.

“You gotta be kidding me… this is why I hate water-type enemies. What, am I supposed to dive in there and fish out the core?” He shook his head with a sigh. “Yeah, no thanks. Too much hassle.”

Raising his hand, he gathered divine energy, shaping it into a massive metal sphere high above. It kept growing and growing until its shadow swallowed half of the lake.

He wanted to make it even bigger, but just keeping it up there was already a struggle thanks to the restrictions.

The sphere wobbled in the air like it might fall on him instead.

He grinned, clearly proud of himself. “Pretty sure this is gonna squish your core no matter where you’re hiding. Genius, right?”

Casually, he let go and allowed gravity to do the talking.

The golem, seeing the massive sphere drop, thrashed in rage and tried to dissolve it. But since the metal was forged from divine energy, it resisted, sinking lower and lower.

Then—BOOOOM!

The sphere slammed into the lake, blasting water in every direction. A wall of waves surged outward, a mini-tsunami crashing across the shore.

He leapt onto one of the taller trees, grinning as the waves crashed below.

From up high, he could already sense it—the golem’s source of power vanished signaling it’s defeat.

The lake’s glow dimmed, and even the water began to lose its purifying forced.

‘Guess that did the trick,’ he muttered, watching the surface settle.

Once the lake calmed, he jumped down and began searching through the wet ground. It didn’t take long before he spotted it—a medallion, still intact, resting among the scattered debris.

He picked it up and tucked it away.

No point wasting time. With all these medallions showing up, he couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if he gathered them all.

The thought made him smirk. It almost felt like he was some ten year-old kid running around gyms, collecting badges.

He twirled the medallion in his hand, smirking.

“I wanna be the very best…Like no one ever was” he started signing, “To kill them is my real test , to eat them is my …”

He decided to sing the rest of the song in his head instead. Saying the lyrics out loud gave him a bad feeling.

While Reign already carried two medallions, the gods’ group remained stuck .

They set up camp, still arguing over how to bring down the flame golem.

“This is outrageous! If we were at full strength, that thing wouldn’t stand a chance!” Solmir snapped at the meeting table.
