Capítulo 667: Peak Worlds Part 2
He stretched his shoulders, skeleton loosening as he rose from the rubble.
It had been a long time since anyone managed to actually damage him.
That attack wasn’t just strong—it contained a type of energy that dealt true damage.
Reign’s usual defenses could nullify the force of an attack capable of destroying an entire continent, but true damage bypassed them entirely.
A smile spread across his face. This new type of power piqued his interest. With a leap, he soared back into the sky, scanning for the golden-armored god.
“Hey!” he called out as he spotted the deity casually hovering in the air “How did you do it? How did you hurt me?”
The god snorted, his disdain evident in his voice.
“It’s just because you’re too weak to withstand my power,” he replied, crossing his arms over his broad chest. “I must hand it to you; I did not expect you to survive.”
Reign’s smile widened into a grin. “Weak, huh? Let’s see how weak I really am.”
He clenched his fists, energy crackling around him as he gathered his strength.
“Take this!”
With power enough to level continents, Reign appeared and threw a punch.
The god’s eyes widened—not with arrogance, but fear. He tried to retreat, to dodged, but found himself locked in space.
“What trickery is this?!”
In that micro seconds, the god summoned golden shields to cover his body, desperate to withstand the oncoming strike.
BOOOOM!
No figure was blasted away. No dramatic tumble.
Just the god, impaled on Reign’s arm, his body trembling around the embedded fist.
BUAAH!
Blood erupted from his mouth, spraying down his robes.
“Oh,” Reign’ sighed, very disappointed. “You still bleed like a mortal. Kind of pathetic for someone so arrogant.”
The god’s eyes, wide with terror. His lips quivered, but before any words could escape, Reign’s jaw cracked audibly.
Brutally, he tore the deity’s head from his shoulders.
Reign didn’t pause. The scent of fresh and powerful blood ignited his hunger.
He lifted the god’s lifeless body to his mouth, using his own arm as a makeshift stick, like he was about to enjoy a festival treat.
Fangs sank into flesh, ripping it apart with unrestrained relish.
The taste was overwhelming. rich, juicy, intoxicating.
Power surged through him with every bite, each shred of meat amplifying his strength.
He savored the rush, gnawing even through the golden armor still fused to the fallen god’s torso.
“Wow,” he muttered between bites, crunching through the gilded plating. “This metal’s delicious. I wonder where they mine this stuff—heaven, maybe?”
Honestly, gear like this no longer tempted him. He had grown too powerful—most items were useless now.
Well, except for the Holy Grail. That thing was still ridiculously overpowered.
And, of course, the stopwatch Lilith gave him. That one was just broken in all the best ways.
Once he finished his little meal, he glanced up at the sky.
Thunder cracked endlessly above, a storm of wrath shaking the heavens.
‘This is getting interesting,’ he murmured, eyes scanning the chaos above.
‘I can sense multiple beings stronger than that golden clown. What is this place—a PvP map for god-tier monsters?’
Before he could finish his thought, a pillar of crimson light shot straight at him.
This time, he didn’t take chances. Learning from earlier, he poured more effort into his defense—summoning his favorite weapon: Skull Grinder – God Edition.
With a single swing, he cleaved through the beam, splitting it in half like paper under a blade.
“Nothing beats the classic,” he chuckled loudly while eying the figures descending.
Unlike the golden one, these newcomers wore red and black, their presence heavier, darker.
One of them—a woman with a single curved horn and eyes like polished crystal—stepped forward and spoke first.
“Tell me. Which faction do you belong to?”
“Faction?” he repeated.
He wanted to understand this place first… before going full commando.
“So, you’re a newcomer, huh?” she said, a faint smirk tugging at her lips. “Then let me break it down for you.”
She gestured to the storm-wracked sky, where distant flashes of battle lit up the clouds like fireworks.
“This place is called the Runic Zone. Right now, four major factions are at war for control.
“The Golden Ones” “The Dark Followers” “The Azure Deities,”
“And lastly—” her eyes glowed faintly red as she tapped her chest, “—ours, Crimson Haze.”
Reign narrowed his eyes. She was sizing him up, testing the waters.
“How about it? Join us. Someone with your power could be… very useful.”
Yeah… she was trying to recruit him. And she wasn’t even subtle about it.
“And why would I do that? I don’t see any real benefit for me.”
Her expression changed, eyebrows knitting in disbelief.
“Wait… you just wandered in here with no clue where you are? Seriously?”
“Pretty much, yeah,”
She rubbed her temples and took a moment to gather herself.
“Listen. This war is about the inheritance of a powerful being who lived billions of years ago. If you join us, your chances of finding it would be higher. We can all share the inheritance depending our contributions.”
Reign scoffed, a grin tugging at the corner of his mouth.
“Go play your little war” he said bluntly. “I’m not here for some ancient treasure or whatever fantasy you’re chasing. I don’t need it—and if I ever did want it, I sure as hell wouldn’t need anyone’s help to get it.”
One of the male gods stepped forward.
“Commander, allow me. I will kill him myself. There’s no reasoning with barbaric creatures like him.”
Reign let out a low chuckle. “I’m being looked down on way too much. Do I really look that easy to bully?”
“Shut up, barbarian!” the male god sneered, raising his crimson blade.
“Damn… this place is really starting to piss me off…” Reign growled.
Then—reality seemed to skip a beat.
The god’s body was still mid-air… but his head was gone.
It now rested in Reign’s blood-drenched hand, torn clean from the neck.
“That’s what you get for pissing me off,”
