Capítulo 665: Godlike Master Part 16
The golden Phoenix shot through the sky like a living sun, fire trailing behind it in waves.
Reign stood calmly as Ember’s attack hit the golden Phoenix.
The moment they collided, the sky lit up like it had been set on fire.
Flames burst in every direction. Blue and gold mixed, fighting for control as they spread across the clouds.
Ozone burned away. The protective shell of the world cracked.
For a brief moment, it felt like even space could be seen bleeding through.
Everything below shook.
Reign raised his hand again. “Ember. Stop playing around.”
She responded instantly. Her body flared brighter, and the blue flames around her burn hotter.
The Supreme One groaned. Blood poured from his nose and ears. His hands shook violently, but he refused to fall.
“I… won’t… lose…” He forced more of his spirit into the golden Phoenix.
But it was futile.
Cracks formed across the golden bird’s body. It thrashed once more—but then started falling apart, feathers of flame drifting away like ashes on the wind.
“No…” the Supreme One gasped before the fire swallowed him whole.
In seconds, there was nothing left—no body, no ash. Just empty air where he had stood.
He had been erased.
The battlefield had gone silent. The Supreme One was gone. That meant they had all failed.
“It’s getting boring,” Reign sighed, raising his hand to obliterate the whole army in one strike.
But before the attack could launch, Kang’s core suddenly exploded.
Veins burst across it like dark lightning, tearing through the air.
Then, like a flood, it expanded at an unimaginable rate, swallowing everything and everyone in its path.
Within seconds, the land below vanished beneath a sea of writhing tendrils.
Reign smirked.
“Oh, this is getting more interesting,” He tilted his head. “I wonder what would happen if he devoured the whole planet.”
Minutes passed, and the veins kept spreading—devouring more land, swallowing forests and rivers.
The dark mass grew so huge that the battlefield disappeared beneath it.
Calmly, Reign rose into the sky.
He flew higher and higher, breaking through clouds and into space.
From there, the entire planet lay beneath him—almost hidden beneath the endless sea of writhing black tendrils.
It was a terrifying sight to watch.
Only one person was crazy enough to smile at it—Reign.
He wished the darkness would only grow stronger, spreading even farther.
That way, he could destroy it and absorb its power all at once. After all, his original goal was to become strong enough to face that Void creature.
Below, temples cracked apart as the tendrils surged through stone courtyards, tearing sacred grounds in half.
Watchtowers collapsed into themselves, swallowed whole by the creeping black.
Fields once lined with rice and lotus turned into pits of rotting soil.
Entire cities vanished without a scream—just a deep rumble and dust rising into the sky.
From above, the continent looked like it had been infected—black veins pulsing outward in all directions, choking everything in their path.
He waited patiently until the whole world was absorbed.
Then, a face appeared on the surface—twisted with fury.
“Well, someone’s upgraded their looks. Gotta say, you’re way more terrifying now.”
“YOU DID THIS TO ME!” Kang roared. Its voice echoed through space, filled with pure rage.
“Look at you—so big, so angry. I literally gave you the world, and you’re still whining.”
“YOU KILLED HER!”
“You’re blaming me? Please. After what you did, I’d be shocked if a rock survived.”
“YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS! ”
Vines erupted, thick and dangerous.
But because of the distance, he saw them coming from miles away.
“Divine Creations!”
Thousands of upgraded laser guns formed behind him, firing red beam after another.
Each strike burned through the tendrils before they could reach him, but more kept coming.
“Is this what I think it is?” Reign asked. “A student trying to beat his master?”
“I WILL KILL YOU!” Kang roared, his voice echoing across space.
“Relax. Plenty have tried before, but none have succeeded.”
Reign wasn’t worried. Even if the vines had covered the entire world, stopping them was simple—just destroy the core, which was easy enough to find.
The real reason he was stalling was to see if his beloved student would get stronger—or maybe even surprise him with a powerful ability.
But no.
All he got were the same boring attacks. Vines, more vines, trying to crush him .
Reign sighed. “That’s it? All that build-up, and this is what you bring? You’re like a giant toddler throwing a tantrum.”
He drifted lower, letting the vines scrape the air around him without ever touching his body.
“I gave you a chance to impress me. Thought maybe you’d evolve or do something clever. But you’re still somehow failing. I know I’m way too strong—but come on, the least you could do is land a hit.”
He raised one hand lazily.
“Come on, Kang. Show me something worth remembering. Don’t make me regret choosing you as my first disciple.”
The vines stopped moving.
Then, the ground beneath the tendrils began to tremble.
Reign narrowed his eyes.
From the center of the writhing mass, a new shape emerged.
Black spears broke through the surface, thousands of them, forming a jagged forest of twisted metal-like roots.
They didn’t lash out wildly like before.
“Huh. That’s new.”
Kang’s voice rumbled out, deeper and more controlled this time. “YOU WANTED SOMETHING DIFFERNT ? TRY BLOCKING THIS!”
The first attack hit—and exploded.
BOOOOM!
A shockwave blasted out, and before Reign could react, the others struck in rapid succession.
Boom. Boom. Boom.
Each impact triggered another blast, tearing into the golden shield and flooding the sky with thick, black smoke.
Kang’s giant monstrous face twisted into a grin. “LET’S SEE YOU LAUGH NOW.”
The mist darkened, soaked in a force twisted enough to tear archangels apart like paper dolls.
But to Kang’s surprise, Reign inhaled the black smoke—slow and deep—like it was nothing more than air.
Not a trace escaped.
Reign hovered, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
“That was a delicious snack of negative energy,” he licked the corner of his lip. “Didn’t you know I feed on this stuff?”
