Capítulo 659: Godlike Master Part 10

The woman remained silent, her lips pressed together in concentration as she shifted her stance.

With a deep breath, she drew the energy further into her glowing spirit rings, each one pulsating with a vibrant, ethereal light.

Her body trembled under the immense pressure, muscles tensing as roots began to snake up her arms.

hey twisted and coiled tightly, forming a protective shell, while the bark thickened and spread across her skin until it vanished beneath the dense layers of hardened spirit wood.

Each second, her aura expanded. The leaves rustled despite the still air, and animals in the forest scattered.

Reign watched with a grin, arms crossed. “Interesting. So this girl has the same plant-based spirit as Kang,”

He found it amusing. Plant-based spirits were more adaptable and easier to twist.

That’s why his student fell faster—corruption took root quickly. Like real plants, they could absorb nearly any kind of energy, adjusting to their surroundings and feeding off whatever was available.

She raised her hand and summoned a spear taller than herself—not of stone this time, but of compressed green crystal. The tip glowed with violent spirit energy, so dense the light bled through the cracks.

“You said go all out. Here it is.”

She hurled the weapon.

It shot forward like a missile, the air behind it sucked in as it passed.

Reign didn’t move. He just extended his hand.

BOOOOOOM!

The impact shook the forest. Smoke and dust burst out in all directions. Trees ripped from the ground. A wave of broken earth flattened everything in a three hundred meter radius.

When the dust cleared, Reign stood in the center of the crater. His hand was charred. Cracks ran up his arm, glowing with faint red light.

He stared at the cracks for a moment. Then flexed his fingers. The damage slowly closed, healing on its own.

“That one stung.”

She didn’t get a chance to answer.

He appeared in front of her and slammed his fist into her gut. Her body arched, and she flew back through several trees, each one snapping like dry twigs.

She crashed to the ground and rolled.

Blood dripped from her mouth. Her armor peeled off in pieces. The roots covering her arms crumbled into dust.

But her spirit still burned.

She forced herself to stand again. One foot at a time.

“Still standing?” Reign tilted his head. “Not bad. You’re not weak—I’ll give you that. But I’m way out of your league. You landed a hit, sure, but only because I didn’t bother defending.”

She tried to speak but coughed up blood. The weapon she used came from her sect’s hidden arsenal, a secret tool passed down from generation to generation.

Even so, it only left shallow wounds. Barely enough to slow him down.

He walked toward her, slow, like a man taking a stroll.

“Let’s see if your will is as tough as your body.”

His hand rose, glowing dark.

A massive blast of corrupted energy formed above his palm, crackling and swirling like a black sun. The forest around them started wilting. The trees closest to the sphere rotted into ash.

“I’m not done yet,” she forced herself to stand.

The ground cracked harder under her feet as she poured every ounce of power into the final attack. The roots behind her thickened like pillars, forming a support base. Her spirit rings spun wildly, light wrapping her in layers.

A spear of compressed red crystal shot forward, glowing like molten lava—her strongest technique, the same one that once burned an island.

It slammed into Reign’s chest.

The impact split the forest floor. Trees disintegrated. Rocks melted. A shockwave ripped outward, flattening a hundred meters around them.

For a moment, dust covered everything.

Then it cleared.

Reign stood there, smoke rising from his skin.

A long crack ran across his chest—skin split open like dried bark—but there was no blood. Just black energy pulsing inside.

He looked down at the wound, raised a brow, and exhaled. “You actually scratched me. twice”

The playful grin was gone. His next words came low and calm.

“Let’s change the ending. You don’t need to die here. You’re strong. Clever. Even pretty, under the dirt.” His voice lowered. “What if I offered power instead?”

She didn’t speak, only stared—brows drawn tight, spirit energy rising.

“I’m not asking,” he added. “I’m offering. Survive. Or vanish like the others.”

Before she could answer, a voice thundered from the distance:

“Step away from her.”

Winds howled. A pressure stronger than any she felt before dropped across the forest like a blanket.

Reign’s head turned slightly.

High above, three figures descended—each one cloaked in spirit force so dense it shimmered like fire.

Their leader held a curved spear and wore robes stitched with the emblems of three sects.

Reinforcements had arrived.

“Three at once?” he muttered, eyes scanning each figure as they hovered in midair.

The leader landed first, his curved spear digging into the ground with a solid thud.

He stood tall, calm, but the pressure he carried rippled through the broken forest like a storm waiting to break.

The second figure touched down behind the leader, a woman with silver gauntlets glowing at the knuckles. The third landed last, quiet and hooded, but the pulse of spirit energy around him throbbed like a heartbeat.

“Are you all going to fight me?” Reign rolled his shoulder, joints cracking. “Well, I don’t really mind.”

The spear wielder planted his weapon deeper into the ground. The soil cracked beneath the weight.

“If you’re truly strong, then face us all—Titled Ones. Not here. We’ll be waiting in the Central Region.” He didn’t raise his voice, but the message rang clear.

Reign’s eyes widened.

“Wait, so let me get this straight?” His tone carried disbelief. “You want me to spare the four of you… just so you can gang up on me later?”

The four held their weapons. They expected a fight to break out any second.

“Alright. Go team up,” Reign waked away without a care.

“And tell everyone to bring more manpower. A couple dozen of you won’t even be enough for a warm-up.”
