Capítulo 658: Godlike Master Part 9

Kang’s body trembled while his eyes glowed an intense red.

He began to grow taller, with his back cracking and expanding in width.

Bone armor emerged across his skin, and two horns sprouted from his head, curling backward like those of a demon.

Now he stood over ten feet tall.

When he stepped forward, the ground broke under his feet.

The two Saints attacked right away.

Wind and fire slammed into him—but Kang didn’t fall.

He stepped forward, letting the wind tear across his chest without slowing down.

The fire Saint tried to slice his neck, but Kang ducked and smashed his head forward. His horn hit the man’s chest and sent him flying through a wall.

“Die demon!” The wind Saint created spinning blades of air. They flew at Kang like knives, but he blocked them with his armored arms.

Above them, Reign just smiled. “Now it’s getting fun.”

Kang looked straight at her. There was no fear in his eyes—only hunger as he lunged like a beast.

She moved fast—just in time to dodge his strike—but Kang’s fingers brushed her arm.

At first, the touch seemed harmless—just a graze.

But her arm went numb, and black lines spread under her skin.

The veins in her body started breaking down, one by one. Her spirit energy flickered, unstable.

She tried to fight off the corrupting energy with her own spirit power, but it was like pouring water on fire—it only slowed it down, not stop it.

clang!

Her sword slipped from her hand and clattered to the ground. She summoned her spirit wings, and tried to fly back, but Kang was already in front of her.

“Got you!” His hand shot forward and grabbed her by the neck.

She struggled, kicking and trying to summon another attack, but her body wouldn’t respond.

The leader of the Blazing Flame Sect saw what happened and rushed to save her.

But he was too late.

Her head burst apart, blood and bone flying in every direction.

Kang didn’t flinch. He flung her headless body toward the Blazing Flame Sect leader. It slammed into his chest and sent him tumbling to the ground.

“Amazing! That’s my signature move!” Reign stood up, grinning wide.

He pointed down at the battlefield like a proud father at a school play. “That’s my disciple ! Did you see that? Did you see that?!”

Around him, the other undead stood still—blank-eyed, silent.

Then they began to cheer.

It wasn’t like human laughter. It was broken, hollow, like bones clashing and dry throats choking on air. The sound echoed across the battlefield, cold and eerie.

“Flawless form. Perfect timing. Beautiful execution. I never taught him that!” He laughed, eyes glowing with pride.

More laughter from the undead. Some banged their weapons on the ground.

Others clapped—awkward and offbeat. A few even mimicked applause, smacking their hands together like they were trying to remember how it was done when they were alive.

Down below, the leader of the Blazing Flame Sect clenched his jaw, fists shaking with rage.

They rushed here because this city was close to their territory. They ignored the Spirit Hall’s warnings, thinking the threat was exaggerated.

Now, they were trapped in the middle of a nightmare.

His people were dying. His ally was dead. And that monster—Kang San—was growing stronger with every second.

Forget about Reign—his disciple alone was already too much to handle.

“I’ll leave you with that small fry,” Reign stretched his legs like he had all the time in the world. “There’s someone else I’ve been wanting to meet.”

The next second, he vanished.

By the time anyone noticed, his hand was already on the shoulder of a woman underground.

She flinched and quickly raised her hand, creating a green barrier between them. It wasn’t meant to stop him—just slow him down.

On land, her speed was unmatched. She could travel faster underground than most could fly in the air. She thought she could get away.

He didn’t just chase—he tore through the earth like a drill. The soil exploded before him as if a massive machine with anti-matter tech was ripping through solid stone.

A moment later, everything around her shook.

“You thought the ground would save you?” he asked, smiling like a predator. “Bad choice.”

Panic grew in her chest. She raised her hand and slammed her palm against the tunnel wall. A giant slab of stone burst up between them, followed by thick vines and hardened clay walls.

She made five more walls, each stronger than the last.

Reign punched through the first one like it was made of mud.

Then the second. Then the third.

By the fourth, cracks spread through the tunnel. The pressure from both sides was too much.

Earth caved in, and she barely escaped by leaping upward, bursting out of the ground like a geyser.

She landed in a forest on the far edge of the battlefield, gasping for air.

But before she could even steady herself—

Boom!

Reign crashed through the ground behind her, surrounded by black smoke and ash. He wasn’t even out of breath.

“You made me run a little,” he said, brushing dust off his shoulder. “That’s rude.”

She didn’t answer. Her feet slid back into a battle stance, and her spirit energy surged again. She summoned a wall of roots to shield her, then sent a hyper velocity spear of stone toward his chest.

The spear hit—but only cracked his skin. No blood came out.

“Impossible…” she mumbled, stumbling backward.

That attack—she used it to pierce through mountains before. Once, it even split the sea in half for a short moment.

“Not convinced yet?” Reign tilted his head. “Alright, go on. Try again.”

He raised his hand, palm open. “But this time,” he added, grinning, “put more effort into it. Charge it to the max. I’ll wait.”

“Fine,” she hissed. “Don’t regret this.”

Her spirit rings lit up again, one by one. The ground cracked under her feet as power surged through her.

“Regret?” he shook his head. “Only weaklings use those words.”
