Capítulo 2025: Vanilla Revenge

Villain Ch 2025. Vanilla Revenge

The air in the cake store felt different now, lighter, warmer. The golden afternoon light poured through the windows like syrup, soft and glowing, catching the edges of frosting samples and bouncing off pastel-colored plates. The girls had started to talk again, but this time without the chaos. No one was fighting over flavor anymore. No one was trying to one-up anyone else.

They were just… excited.

Jane rolled up the sketch papers and tapped them neatly against the table. “Okay. If we’re doing ten tiers, we need a stronger base support system. I don’t trust fondant physics.”

Shea nodded rapidly, straw halfway in her mouth. “Can we do a center chandelier effect? So the bottom looks like it’s floating?”

Mila gasped. “Yes! With hanging pearls… like a glam crystal garden!”

Vivian grabbed her phone and pulled up a reference photo, eyes sparkling. “Exactly like that one cake that looked like a glass castle. But dark-academia style.”

Larissa leaned forward, her brows furrowed with focus. “We also need to schedule taste trials for the final version. These samples were great, but real scale changes texture.”

Bella chimed in, eyes wide. “Wait. Do we need a cutting cake too? Like a mini version just for us to slice at the ceremony? I don’t want to stab a ten-tier tower in heels.”

Alice was already on her second page of notes. “We’ll need extra staff to move it. Maybe three assistants from the bakery. Maybe Kai can coordinate.”

Zoe sipped her tea and offered, “He’ll figure it out. He always does.”

And through all that noise, through the sounds of clinking forks and excited voices and the scent of sugary dreams, Allen just sat there, quiet.

Smiling.

He didn’t speak much. Hadn’t spoken for the last few minutes, actually. He leaned back in his chair, elbow resting on the arm, thumb against his jaw, watching them all like they were a movie he couldn’t stop rewatching.

They were so different.

So loud, so passionate, so wildly them.

And yet somehow, his.

Every word they threw at each other came with love. Every dramatic gasp, every sassy side-eye, every carefully typed note in Zoe’s tablet, he’d seen all of it before. In dungeons, in boss raids, in chaotic group chats at two in the morning. It was familiar. Messy. Beautiful.

He didn’t have a dream wedding, not really. Never sat around imagining it. He never cared what the flowers looked like, never cared how many guests came or what the table linens were made of. But this… this scene, this exact moment…

It felt perfect.

Not because of the cake. Not because of the glamour.

Because they were all here.

For him.

With him.

Loving him.

That was more than he ever expected. More than he ever believed he deserved.

He stared at his hands for a moment. Rough palms, calloused knuckles. Not from combat. From holding too tightly to things he’d almost lost. From pushing himself up after every hit life threw at him. The idea that those hands… his hands would be putting rings on nine women in a few weeks?

Unreal.

He never thought he’d marry this fast.

Hell, he never thought he’d marry at all.

And definitely not nine at once.

He exhaled softly. The smile on his lips didn’t fade.

It just deepened.

That quiet, content sort of happiness that didn’t need to be loud.

He glanced up…

And met Jane’s eyes.

She’d been watching him.

She always did when he got too quiet.

Jane closed her notebook, slid off her seat, and walked over without a word. She didn’t speak until she was standing beside him, hip leaning against his chair, her shadow falling over the table.

“You’re doing it again,” she said.

Allen looked up at her, amused. “Doing what?”

“That thing,” she replied, eyes narrowing slightly. “Where you sit still and look happy and mysterious and sexy and start giving all of us emotional damage just by existing.”

Bella made a sound somewhere between a cough and a laugh. “Damn, she called it.”

“I second that,” Mila muttered.

Jane ignored them and looked straight at him.

“You good?” she asked, voice softer now.

Allen tilted his head, eyes never leaving hers. “Better than good.”

She raised an eyebrow.

He reached up and gently wrapped his fingers around hers.

“I just realized something,” he said. “I never imagined this day. Not even once.”

She blinked. “That’s… kinda depressing.”

He chuckled. “No. Not in a bad way. I just didn’t think something this good could happen. That I could sit here and watch the people I love argue about cake tiers and taste samples and actually be excited to build something with me.”

Jane’s expression softened.

“And the fact that it’s real?” he added, giving her hand a squeeze. “It hits harder than I expected.”

Jane lowered herself into the chair beside him without letting go of his hand.

“I think we’re all kind of shocked it’s real too,” she said, glancing at the table. “But it is. And you made it happen.”

Allen smiled again, smaller this time. “We made it happen.”

Vivian popped up beside them with a pastry sample. “Okay, sorry to interrupt this heartwarming moment, but you have to try this one. It tastes like vanilla revenge.”

Jane frowned. “How the hell does revenge taste like vanilla?”

Vivian shrugged. “Try it. You’ll understand.”

Azura finally spoke up from her seat. “Can we… decorate Allen’s tier with something subtle? Like… a sword. Or a book.”

Mila nodded, eyes lighting up. “Or a little golden crown. Just one.”

Larissa raised her coffee. “To the one man brave enough to say yes to all of us.”

Shea grinned. “And stupid enough to do it in one ceremony.”

Alice snorted. “No refunds.”

Allen rolled his eyes. “Trust me, I’m getting the better deal.”

Zoe finally spoke again, her voice calm and true.

“You’re getting us. And we’re getting you. It’s a good trade.”

Vivian handed him the pastry. “Eat this. Before we all get mushy again.”

Allen took a bite.

It really did taste like vanilla revenge.

Whatever that meant.
