Chapter 2016: The Devils VS Alliance of The Brave [Part 3]
Villain Ch 2016. The Devils VS Alliance of The Brave [Part 3]
The shockwave from their clash knocked molten rock into the air.
Allen’s smile grew wider. Not warm. Not amused. Twisted.
“Finally,” he said. “Let’s see what you really are.”
And then everything changed.
[Demonic Form has been activated!]
[All status +50%.]
[Time remaining: 4:59]
Allen’s body twisted… no, unfolded, as dark fire erupted from his spine. Black wings shot from his back in jagged, asymmetrical bursts, pulsing with void energy. His horns grew longer, blade sharper, and the air around him shivered with pressure. His silhouette became monstrous, his presence overwhelming.
Even Sachi, standing far behind Elio, stumbled back as the air thickened like tar.
Elio’s grip on his sword trembled.
He tried to tell himself he could handle it.
That he was ready.
But when Allen moved?
It was like trying to fight a thunderstorm with a candle.
Allen vanished.
Elio raised his shield instinctively, fast, precise, but Allen had already circled him. Already struck.
[-37% HP]
Elio grunted, skidding back.
Sachi chanted a healing prayer, pouring her last drops of mana into him. Her voice cracked. Her vision blurred. Her fingers cramped.
“Hold… hold on,” she whispered.
He barely heard her. He could barely feel anything anymore. Not through the pure force of Allen’s presence.
He knew the tricks now. Knew the baiting pattern. Knew Allen wanted him to react.
But knowing was different from resisting.
Every time Allen so much as glanced toward Sachi, Elio’s body moved. Even when he screamed at himself not to.
Elio’s shoulder slammed into Allen’s blade just to intercept another fake strike toward Sachi. It wasn’t meant for her. He knew that. But he still blocked.
Because he was a tank.
Because he was a Paladin.
Because instinct didn’t care about logic when someone behind you was fragile and screaming your name.
Allen grinned with every mistake.
He didn’t even bother hiding it anymore.
He struck again. Elio dodged. But not fast enough.
[-21% HP]
“Come on, Elio,” Allen muttered under his breath. “Breathe. Think. Be better.”
Sachi was running dry.
Her mana bar blinked low. Danger zone. Red.
She dropped her final Healing Light and staggered. Her hands were numb. Her legs weak.
“Please,” she whispered. “Just hold on…”
But Allen was only getting faster.
More monstrous.
His steps left molten footprints. His sword blurred like it was dancing between dimensions. Every time Elio tried to press forward, Allen redirected. And then smiled.
It wasn’t a smug smile.
It was cruel.
Predatory.
Like a scientist watching his experiment break the way he knew it would.
Sachi’s chest ached watching it. Because she saw it too.
He wasn’t trying to win anymore.
He was unmaking Elio.
Breaking him down.
Blow by blow.
Instinct by instinct.
And then Allen looked at her.
Just once.
She felt that stare hit her bones.
And she understood what he was about to do.
No… not what he was going to do.
What Elio was about to let happen.
And she couldn’t let it.
Elio was breathing hard. Every step felt heavier. Every strike came slower than he wanted it to. His arms ached from blocking. His legs trembled from adjusting his stance. And still, Allen hadn’t even broken a sweat.
The Devil Emperor stood before him like a god of carnage, wings stretched wide, body glowing with that infernal aura, sword dripping in heatless, black light. His form was untouchable. Not a single scratch marred his armor. Not one scuff on his boots. Not one missed step.
He advanced again, casually, blade raised.
Sachi’s voice came, strained and raw. “Elio, behind—!”
Elio spun, raised his shield, and barely caught the blow.
The impact sent him skidding back across the obsidian floor, digging gouges into the lava-burned stone. His HP dropped again, red flashing across his HUD.
[HP: 12%]
Sachi was panting, staff trembling in her hands, lips pale from overcasting. Her mana was flickering between 3% and empty. But still, she raised her arms again.
Allen moved.
Another blow.
Elio’s shield rose out of reflex.
Sachi gasped. “Elio, don’t.”
But she saw it.
The moment.
The instinct.
It was about to happen again.
He would block. Protect. Take the blow for her.
No.
Not this time.
She stepped forward.
Right in front of him.
Elio’s eyes widened. “Sachi—”
Her arms spread, body glowing with the last traces of her light magic. She wasn’t trying to cast a barrier. She wasn’t trying to heal.
She was ready to take the hit.
Like Alex had once done.
Allen’s blade was already coming down.
But then… His smirk sharpened.
[Shadow Step.]
He vanished.
Sachi blinked. “What—?”
Allen reappeared behind Elio.
One breath.
One heartbeat.
Steel pierced through Elio’s chest.
Straight through. From back to front.
Time froze.
Sachi didn’t scream immediately. She just stared. Paralyzed.
The tip of the blade glinted inches from her face.
Right between them.
And Allen’s hand?
Still gripped the hilt, unmoved, steady, even as Elio twitched around it.
She could see the blood.
Could see Elio’s head slowly turn toward her.
And then Allen’s voice came, low, satisfied.
“Bingo.”
The crowd erupted into chaos. Screams, gasps, and shouts echoed through the stadium. A few people even stood up, stunned, horrified, watching the dome display like they couldn’t believe it.
[HP: 1%]
Sachi’s staff crackled with desperate light. She lunged forward, one last Healing Light on her tongue…
But Allen was faster.
Much faster.
He twisted the blade free with a sharp pull, then spun.
The final strike was brutal. Clean. Effortless.
His sword carved across Elio’s neck.
A blink later, it was over.
[Mac has been eliminated.]
Sachi screamed.
“Elio!!”
His avatar fell to the ground. One half, then the other.
His head rolled, eyes still open.
[Healing Light – Failed. Target has been eliminated.]
Her spell dispersed in her hand like a popped bubble.
Too late.
Sachi dropped to her knees.
The world didn’t move.
The dome glowed with the display of Elio’s death like a full 4K replay burned into everyone’s memory.
Blood.
Impact.
Silence.
