Villain Ch 2012. The Reveal [Part 2]
“N-No way…” Alex whispered.
His voice cracked like something inside him had buckled. He stood frozen at the edge of the Celestial Vanguard resting area, sweat dripping off his chin, knuckles white around the towel he forgot he was holding.
Red and Mastercraft turned toward him sharply, eyes wide, breaths uneven like they’d just sprinted across the real world rather than finishing the most brutal match of their lives.
Red’s mouth opened, closed, then opened again. No sound came out for a full three seconds before he finally forced words through a strangled breath. “That… that’s not real. That can’t be real. Azazel was an A.I. He had to be. He was too perfect.”
Mastercraft shook his head, staring at the stage like he expected reality to glitch and rewind. “No human avoids thirty people chain locking him without taking a scratch. There’s just… no way.”
Alex swallowed hard. “I hit him. Once.” His voice sounded small, almost like he was trying to convince himself he still existed. “One hit point. Just one. Now… I thought…” His fingers trembled. “I thought he let me.”
Red looked at him. Something twisted in his gaze. Respect. Terror. Envy. Confusion. All tangled into one.
“You mean you think he chose to take that hit?” Red asked quietly. Slow. Careful. Like stepping on a landmine.
Alex nodded once. Painfully. “Yes.”
Mastercraft let out a broken laugh. “Holy hell. What kind of monster lets himself get hit just to sell the illusion?”
Red ran a hand through his hair hard enough to sting. “The kind who wanted everyone to believe he wasn’t a player.”
Silence swallowed them.
Not the quiet kind. The suffocating kind. The world holding its breath.
Then the chaos erupted around them again, the stadium splitting into screaming disbelief and deafening adrenaline.
Across the stadium, Arcana stared at the screen like he’d been punched in the lungs. He turned slowly toward Azura.
“Tell me you knew about this,” he said, voice low, rough.
Azura didn’t flinch. She crossed her arms, her jaw set tight. “I knew. But not from the beginning.”
Arcana’s head snapped toward her. “Since when?”
Azura watched Allen on stage, the digital fire reflecting in her eyes. “Recently. His fighting style gave him away. There were times he couldn’t cover it up perfectly. I noticed them. So I asked him. Directly.”
“And he told you.” Arcana’s tone wasn’t disbelief. It was something darker. Something like awe.
“Yes,” she said. “He told me.”
Arcana leaned back in his seat and let out a long exhale. “That’s insane. But the problem isn’t that he’s Azazel. The real problem is… how the hell is a human fighting like that? Untouchable. Perfect. Not even a single real hit landed on him in all those matches. Except that one from Alex. One hit point. Enough to make people start asking if he let it happen.”
Azura nodded slowly. “He did.”
And suddenly, Arcana looked nauseated.
Back on the stage, Elio’s voice cut through the electric roar of the stadium like a blade through cloth.
“Since we’re already at this point,” Elio said, his words ringing across every mic, every speaker, every trembling audience member, “why not let all your subordinates join you too?”
A ripple of shock rolled through the crowd like a physical wave.
Allen tilted his head, smiling that slow wicked smile that curled at the edges and promised nothing but chaos.
“Oh?” he said in a voice far too calm. “You want my demonesses to join me?”
Elio held his stare, jaw tight. “Yes.”
Allen’s smile sharpened. “Fine.”
Suddenly, spotlights snapped from him to the VIP balcony where the women sat.
Heat rippled through the crowd.
Shea stood first, flipping her hair back in a smooth, predatory motion, lips curling into a smirk. “Guess Elio wants us too,” she said, voice sultry enough to make half the front row buckle.
The entire crowd screamed louder.
They stepped forward in a slow, cinematic descent down the illuminated stairs. Each step matched the pounding bass echoing through the stadium floor. Screens behind them lit up with dark, glitching cinematic introductions one by one.
Shea’s esports jacket glittered jet black, marked with her gametag in sharp white strokes.
Lullaby.
The montage showed her singing enemies to paralysis, drowning entire raid teams in illusion water, her voice a weapon.
Zoe emerged next, her jacket water-patterned black and blue, the tag blazing across the screen.
Abyssia.
Clips showed her tentacle summons dragging players screaming off platforms, whirlpool fields dismantling tank lines like toys.
Bella twirled once, fox tails shimmering behind her montage as her tag flashed. Eira.
Her highlight reel displayed illusions ripping battlefields apart, firestorms devouring formations.
Larissa followed with a crimson sheen in her eyes, jacket marked. Nefaris.
Her clips showed blood storms ripping armor from bodies, life stealing circles wiping entire guilds.
Alice stepped forward next, her dark cloak swirling around her legs.
Selena.
Screens filled with curses, black holes swallowing players, and gravity magic snapping bones like twigs.
Jane followed slowly, smile calm and terrifying. Grimora.
Her montage was horrifying, undead armies, soul chains, puppeteering corpses like dolls.
And last…
Vivian walked with a catlike stretch, smile sinful, eyes glowing…
Lilieth.
Her montage was seductive and terrifying, charm wipes, heart crushes, players screaming as their own allies struck them.
The arena melted into chaotic noise.
“ARE YOU KIDDING ME?”
“They’re REAL? Those are REAL women???”
“Bro, I want a girlfriend like that!”
“Marry me Abyssia!”
“Nefaris, drain me, mommy!”
“Oh my god, the Succubus Queen is REAL, I’m gonna die—”
Someone actually fainted. Security scrambled to drag him out while medics checked vitals.
A guy in Row B screamed, “I WANT TO HAVE ALL OF THEIR CHILDREN,” before getting tackled by his own friends.
Another sobbed, “I’ve been praying to Selena and she’s REAL.”
Phones went up. Stream chats exploded.
Screams. Cries. Marriage proposals.
Pure chaos.
Allen didn’t look at the crowd.
He looked only at Elio.
Elio looked back, breathing hard.
