Chapter 350: Chapter 349: Camille’s situation
Those holding crossbows released their arrows at them.
Those with guns immediately began shooting.
Meanwhile, those armed with knives and other close-combat weapons charged toward them.
Those with long-range weapons attacked the ones standing near the door, while those holding knives and other weapons targeted Yang and Zam, who were the closest.
Luciel and the others immediately avoided the attacks directed at them and, of course, counterattacked.
The other group was clearly weaker than them, as Luciel didn’t even need to make a move, and the other group was already neutralized by a few members of their team.
Zam directly used his ability to immobilize more than half of the people who had attacked them.
Yang and the others knocked down those people, and Nichole tied them up using vines.
They did it fast enough that Luciel and the others only had to dodge the arrows and bullets that came toward them.
But even though they were subdued, those who were still conscious remained aggressive, cursing them and still wanting to attack.
“Noisy. Knock them all out,” Luciel said with a frown, looking at the people already tied in front of them.
They were clearly easily defeated, but they still had delusions and were very aggressive, continuing to curse them.
They were really noisy, so he asked the others to knock them all out.
The others, also clearly thinking the same as him, immediately knocked them out as soon as they heard Luciel’s command.
“What’s wrong with them?” Treyton asked, while Nathan and the others were checking the people who had been knocked down and their belongings.
“I’m not an expert on this, but they’ve probably taken high doses of stimulants,” Nathan answered after checking the people for a bit.
“Yes, look, they have a lot of it here,” Nichole said, pouring out the contents of some of the other group’s backpacks.
When Nichole and the others emptied the bags of the group they had knocked out, they found a lot of drug packets.
In fact, the amount of drugs they discovered was even greater than the food supplies the other group had.
“So that’s why they were so aggressive and attacked us, even though they were clearly weaker than us,” Luciel said, then turned to Treyton and asked, “What are you going to do with such wastes?”
As soon as Luciel saw the amount of drugs the other group had, he quickly labeled them as waste.
They didn’t even seem to know how to distinguish other people anymore.
They didn’t even realize that they would clearly be defeated if they had attacked them, which was actually very obvious, and they just attacked others who weren’t part of their group.
It was clear they weren’t in their right minds anymore.
If they had to rely on such things to survive, then they were clearly just wastes.
“They had already attacked us, so they couldn’t stay here any longer. Just put them outside. If they manage to survive, then it’s their luck,” Treyton replied.
Zam and the others, who had also heard Treyton’s reply, began moving the knocked-out people outside.
“Sir, what about these things?” Nichole asked, looking at the pile of items from the other group.
“We’ll dispose of them later,” Treyton answered, then turned to Theo. “Theo, put them in your space first. Be sure to put them in a separate area.”
The others began moving, and after a while, all the knocked-out people and their things were gone.
Some of the members took out the unconscious attackers, while others began cleaning up the first floor of the building.
After making sure that everything on the first floor was okay, they proceeded to clean up the second, third, and fourth floors of the building.
The other group that had stayed on the first floor hadn’t cleaned up the whole building; they didn’t even clean the entire first floor.
They only cleaned the lounge they were staying in and didn’t bother with the other rooms on the first floor.
When the team members went to clean up, they still had to deal with zombies that were trapped inside the rooms on the first floor before moving on to the next floors.
Treyton had already decided that they were going to stay on the third and fourth floors. So, after clearing out the zombies on the fourth floor, Nina and the others cleaned both the third and fourth floors thoroughly so they could settle in.
The third and fourth floors didn’t have many issues, so it was easy for the others to clean them up.
The only problem was some broken windows, which wasn’t a big deal. Dan just used some metal sheets to block them.
They’d already had their dinner and done other things, so after the cleaning, they only had to assign rooms, and everyone could finally rest.
But before Yang could assign the members to their rooms, Camille spoke up.
“I’m sorry for interrupting, but you guys don’t need to assign me to any room this time,” Camille said with a depreciating smile.
As soon as they saw Camille’s expression, everyone knew that something had gone wrong.
“What are you talking about? Don’t tell me you’re going to sleep with Zam so you don’t need a room?” Nathan asked teasingly, trying to ease the atmosphere that Camille had created.
“Ha ha, I also wanted to do that,” Camille said happily, before her expression turned more serious. “If it was before, I’d surely try to be in the same room as him. Unfortunately, this time, I really don’t need a room. Anyone with me would just be implicated.”
With what Camille said, they all had a hunch of what had happened, but Treyton still asked, “Camille, what’s wrong with you?”
“Boss, it seems I’m already infected with the zombie virus. In a few hours, I’ll probably turn into one of those zombies roaming outside.”
“Infected? How could that happen? You weren’t even at the frontlines when dealing with the zombies tonight,” Zam said.
