Chapter 349: Chapter 348: Meeting another group
Most of the zombie and mutant animals were stronger than the human-turned zombies, so he was very happy to face them.
They were faster and stronger, so dealing with them would take more effort from him.
He wanted to strengthen himself, so fighting stronger beings like zombie animals and mutant animals was very good for him.
Unfortunately, there were only a few zombie animals and mutant animals that he had encountered in the past few days.
But he didn’t mind the lack of them, because as they got closer to the next place that they had to go to, the number of zombies was also increasing.
So, even without the zombie and mutant animals, it still became a bit harder for him to move farther, and he couldn’t move as fast as he did when he was just starting, because the number of zombies was increasing and their strength was also growing.
The number of level 2 zombies was steadily rising as they got nearer to their destination.
They were already close to their destination, so Luciel was looking forward to killing more zombies and going with Treyton and the others to the city center. Unfortunately, before they could move forward, it suddenly started snowing.
The weather had been good ever since they left the base, so they had no problems moving forward. Unfortunately, on the night when they were only one day away from their destination, it suddenly started snowing just when they went to sleep.
The weather really changes as it likes without any warning at all, just like the previous changes in weather that they had experienced.
There hadn’t been any sign that it would snow at all. But as soon as it began, the temperature around them also started dropping rapidly.
They had been staying in an open space and didn’t bother stopping in a building. So as soon as they saw the snow and felt the temperature getting colder, Treyton immediately asked the others to pack up and look for a building to stay in.
Luciel had already gone to sleep earlier because he had been planning to enter their space later to train again, so when he woke up because of the cold, he was in a bad mood.
So, even though he didn’t need to go out to clean up zombies, he still went out to vent.
It was already very dark, but the zombies also didn’t have any need of rest. As soon as their cars started moving, the noise immediately attracted a lot of zombies in the area.
The area they were in already had a large number of zombies. Even though they had cleared many of them during the day, there were still more lurking in the farther areas.
As soon as their cars made some noise, the zombies from those farther areas, as well as the ones that had wandered to the places they had already cleaned up, were all drawn in and started heading toward them.
So when Luciel went out, he immediately dealt with a lot of zombies that were close to them.
The others already knew that he was in a bad mood, so even though they also went out to deal with the zombies around them, they didn’t go near him at all.
Luciel also didn’t pay attention to them and just focused on killing any zombies that he encountered.
Most of the buildings nearby weren’t in good condition, which was why they hadn’t entered any of them to rest and instead chose to stay outside and camp. The buildings in the area had suffered a lot of damage.
The area they were currently in seemed to have been hit harder by the earthquake they had experienced before. Many buildings were already tilting, cracked, or filled with broken debris.
Because of that, it was more difficult to find a proper building for them to stay in.
They drove around for at least thirty minutes before they finally found a decent one.
However, when they disembarked and went to check the building, they found that there was already a group of people staying there.
The building was big enough, as it had four floors, which was more than enough for more people to stay at. The snow was also getting heavier, and the wind was picking up.
A snowstorm was probably coming soon.
So, Treyton decided they should stay in the building because, after checking the surroundings, there weren’t any other buildings in good condition at all.
They approached the building to talk to the group that was already inside.
Yang and Zam went forward to speak with them, while the others who had gone out also entered but just stayed near the door, letting Yang and Zam do the talking.
When the other group saw them, their expressions immediately turned bad. They instantly drew their weapons and aimed at them.
Yang and Zam didn’t even manage to get close, since the group’s attitude was already so hostile.
The other group immediately began cursing at them and demanding that they get out if they didn’t want to be killed.
They kept throwing out irritating remarks, which made Luciel, who was already in a bad mood, want to go and beat them up.
However, Treyton and the others still wanted to try to talk to them. So, even though Luciel really wanted to go and beat them up, he didn’t do anything and just leaned against the wall while watching the other group.
Even though Yang and Zam weren’t able to move forward, they still tried to talk.
Yang explained that they wouldn’t interfere with the group and would only use one floor of the building for themselves. He also offered to give some supplies as compensation.
Unfortunately, even with the offer of supplies, the group didn’t want to listen. They only kept urging them to leave.
They were already very irritated. And when Yang tried to say more to negotiate, the other group didn’t wait for him to finish. Instead, they immediately launched an attack.
