Chapter 348: Chapter 347: Going out for training
The others also shared some of the difficulties they had discovered, but afterwards, they also said that they had gained something, especially in realizing what they needed to further improve about themselves.
Even though most of them found it difficult to deal with a lot of zombies continuously, they had found what they needed, and most of them also had an idea of how to improve their own superpowers on their own. So, their actions could be said to be successful, as they had properly met their intended goal.
After everyone finished sharing their thoughts, Treyton also shared what they had to do in the places that they would be going to in the future.
No one disagreed with what Treyton said, even though they knew that it would become more dangerous, because all of them knew that they had to continue improving themselves.
They also knew that they would have more chances of improving themselves by continuously challenging their limits.
After they had a brief review of what they needed to do in the future, they finally had their meals and had a proper rest afterwards.
They didn’t move anymore and just stayed to rest for the rest of the day before driving away again the next day to continue going to the places that were marked on the map.
Before they left, the people they had rescued from the warehouse thanked them again and again for taking them out of the warehouse area.
And even though they were also a bit afraid of being left behind, they didn’t pester them to take them with them or help them go to other bases or settlement areas.
They only asked about the location of the nearby settlement areas and the route that they had used before.
They had only seen signs of settlement areas in the places that they had passed by, and they didn’t bother going to those places because their objective was different.
So, Treyton and the others marked the roads that they had used before and advised those people to check the circumstances of the settlement areas first before staying in them. And if they could, they should try going to the north base, as it was safer than other places.
After saying goodbye to the people from the warehouse, they continued on their way.
And as planned, while they were still on the road, Luciel only stayed in their car for an hour before preparing to go out.
“Where are you going?” Treyton asked when he saw him dressing up.
“I’m going out to kill some zombies.”
“You’re not going to wait until we reach our destination?”
“Of course, I’ll still go to the more populated areas afterwards, but I still need to step out and continuously kill some zombies.”
He wouldn’t be able to reach his goal as quickly as he wanted if he stayed in the car while they were traveling, so he had to go out to deal with more zombies.
“I see. So, should I recall the others that are outside? So that you can concentrate on killing the zombies yourself?”
“No need. Those people also need to get stronger, and those zombies won’t be enough for me anyway. So, I’ll go a bit farther while following our vehicles.”
“Then don’t go too far.”
“Yeah,” Luciel answered while finally putting on his gloves.
“I’ll be out for a while,” Luciel said, then stepped outside.
Their cars were driving slowly as the other members of their team were also outside, killing zombies and clearing the road so their vehicles could successfully pass through.
With their pace, Luciel knew he had plenty of time to kill zombies even if he went farther away, and he would still be able to catch up with them without any problems.
And even if they suddenly decided to drive faster, Luciel could still catch up to them by using the vines he had to travel more quickly.
Luciel moved farther from the group and saw that there were still a lot of zombies in the distance, drawn to where their cars were heading.
After spotting the zombies, Luciel immediately began killing them with the glaive he was holding.
There were indeed many zombies, but their numbers were still far less compared to the swarms near the city center.
Luciel was able to kill them with ease, so he pushed farther ahead so that he could deal with more.
He moved in a tight zigzag pattern, going farther and nearer while killing the zombies, making sure to maximize the number he fought while also spending his energy properly.
Since he was training his physical strength, he didn’t mind exhausting himself by weaving in a zigzag manner while killing zombies.
In the following days, Luciel continued this routine, going farther from their vehicles and killing zombies without any problems.
Even when he grew tired, since he would usually begin killing right after resting from breakfast, he still wouldn’t return to the car early. He kept going, continuously killing zombies.
He would only go back to rest when it was lunchtime and dinnertime.
After dinner, he would rest for a while but would still continue training inside their space before sleeping.
Thanks to their space, he always had enough rest, and because of that, he still had plenty of energy the next day to continue what he was doing.
He would also call Lottie from time to time to give him a massage, so he didn’t have any problems recovering.
Most of the time, he was only fighting level 1 and level 2 zombies, so it was really easy for him. And even when he encountered a few level 3 zombies, they weren’t a problem at all, as their abilities weren’t strong enough to cause serious damage.
There were also noticeably fewer level 3 zombies compared to the ones near the city center.
So, Luciel’s routine for the following days was almost the same every single day.
It would only change a little whenever he encountered zombie animals or mutant animals.
