Chapter 345: Chapter 344: Level 3 zombies 2
Because of the appearance of the level 3 zombies, Treyton ordered them to move faster to leave the area they were in. However, because of the number of zombies that kept coming, they weren’t able to move as fast as they wanted to, even if they tried.
Following Treyton’s order, most of the other members began using more of their abilities so they could advance quickly.
They indeed cleared the zombies faster than before, but they still weren’t able to move away as fast as they wished.
It took them at least two hours before they finally managed to get away.
Of course, they would probably have been faster if Luciel had also used his ability, but he didn’t because he was still able to kill the zombies properly without any problems at all.
Luciel just focused on training his physical strength and didn’t even use his ability, even when Treyton said that they had to go faster.
There was no emergency or anything that needed immediate action, so he just focused on what he needed to do.
He was already helping the others by killing a lot of zombies on his own, and the others could also push themselves better, so he didn’t follow Treyton’s order and still killed zombies at his own pace.
After leaving the area, they drove farther away before they finally stopped to rest.
All of them had been continuously fighting zombies since the morning, so everyone started resting after clearing the zombies in their resting place.
As for Luciel, he cleaned up a bit and changed his outfit before relaxing on their sofa in the RV, unlike most of the members who immediately sat down and started resting.
He didn’t mind killing zombies, but he really didn’t like being splashed by their blood.
The zombies had already stopped decaying and their bodies were also getting stronger as they leveled up, but they still had the stench of decay.
When fighting, even though the stench was really bad, Luciel would just ignore it and continue killing zombies.
Luciel, who had already set a goal for himself, would ignore most things that made him uncomfortable so he could fully focus on his goal, for example, killing zombies.
So even though the stench of zombies was really bad, Luciel could get close to them and kill them without any problems.
He also didn’t mind being splashed with zombie blood as he focused on efficiency and wouldn’t distance himself just to avoid getting blood on him.
However, afterward, he would always clean up first before the others because he couldn’t stand the stench of zombie blood on himself.
After him, Treyton would always clean up next, as long as he wasn’t very busy with other things.
Treyton would always do so probably also because of the stench of the zombies, and of course, probably because Luciel never allowed Treyton to stay near him if he could still smell the stench of zombies on him.
Luciel didn’t mind such stenches in battle, but of course, he didn’t want to punish himself by smelling it even after he was away from zombies.
After cleaning up, he could finally relax and took out his tablet, ready to watch another movie while they were still resting.
“Brother Luciel, you are really strong and even stronger than the others!” Ashlee said.
“Yeah, brother is like whoosh! whoosh and whoosh! and bam! the zombies are dead!” Sophie said while using her hands to mimic swinging a glaive.
Ashlee and the others had been carried by Jane and the others when they were finally going to the warehouse.
While they were being carried and while they were gathering supplies in the warehouse, the kids had stayed silent, obediently watching the adults fight and kill zombies.
Even when they talked to some people in the last warehouse, the kids had remained quiet.
Now that they were finally away from danger, the kids were talking at last, probably saying all the things they wanted to say before.
He and Treyton together with Zam or Wes stayed in the RV, so Ashlee and the others were assigned to stay in that same RV because it was the safest.
Of course, the kids were also with Jane, Mia, and Lottie, or with Nichole, Edna, and Vivian, who were looking after them.
The kids had been silent before, but now they were full of energy.
“Of course, your big brother is powerful,” Luciel replied, growing a watermelon for Ashlee to eat later while they watched a movie.
They had just finished successfully retrieving supplies from the warehouse they entered a while ago, and since the others had exerted a lot of effort killing zombies, Treyton would probably let them rest here and only move again in the morning.
So, Luciel could definitely watch a lot of movies or series while they rested.
“Yes, brother is very powerful! But brother, why didn’t you use the vines like before? The other uncles and aunts and even dad used their powers,” Ashlee asked, eyeing the watermelon Luciel was growing.
“I killed a lot of zombies even without using my ability, right?”
“Yes, brother killed a lot.”
“See? I still killed a lot of zombies, even more than the number that they killed. So it means I don’t need to use my ability yet because I can already kill plenty without it.”
“Then brother is really powerful!” Ashlee said happily.
“Yes, big brother is very powerful! Big brother, I want to use a weapon and be like you. Whoosh, whoosh! Bam!” Sophie said, still pretending to hold and swing a glaive with sound effects.
“You still can’t lift a glaive yet. You can learn later when you grow older and are at least as tall as Astrid and the others.”
Sophie was also practicing throwing and using a dagger like Ashlee, though for a shorter time.
They only trained with daggers because other weapons were still too heavy and not suitable for them.
“Oh, I can’t? Then I can’t do whoosh, whoosh and whoosh,” Sophie said, disappointed, mimicking the glaive strikes more slowly than before.
“If you want to learn, ask big brother Treyton for a lighter metal stick to practice with, and then ask the others to teach you.”
“Oh, yeah! I’ll ask big brother Treyton later!” Sophie said happily, energized again as she mimicked swinging a glaive.
Most kids’ interests don’t last very long. Sophie used to be very interested in daggers and wanted to train with Ashlee, but now she was more interested in the glaive.
Well, they’re still young, so it’s good to try different things and see what they like best.
Luciel looked at Ashlee. “What about you, Ashlee? Do you want to learn to use a glaive?”
“Maybe later. I still want to practice using the dagger first,” Ashlee replied, shaking her head.
“I see. Then just keep practicing with the dagger,” Luciel said, then glanced at Theo and the other two kids in the RV. “What about you kids?”
Aside from training their bodies, Nash and Lisa had also started training with weapons after coming to their villa.
Nash followed Theo, training with a short sword to strengthen himself, while Lisa followed Ashlee, training with daggers.
However, Lisa focused more on close combat with the dagger rather than throwing, unlike Ashlee’s initial training.
“I haven’t learned enough about swords yet, so I don’t want to learn anything else for now,” Nash said.
“I want to keep practicing with daggers,” Lisa added.
“That’s good. If you want to learn more later, just ask the adults,” Luciel replied.
Just as he finished speaking, Treyton came out of the bathroom, and Sophie immediately ran over to him.
“Big brother Treyton! Please make a small glaive for me!”
“Okay. I’ll make one for you later and give it to you after I show it to your mom,” Treyton answered casually.
“Thank you, big brother Treyton!” Sophie said excitedly before returning to her seat.
Treyton then sat down beside Luciel and asked, “What do you think about those level 3 zombies we saw earlier?”
Luciel replied, “Those level 3 zombies weren’t that different in strength from the level 2 ones, at least as long as they didn’t use their abilities. Their speed and strength were a bit higher than most level 2 zombies, but not by much, so it’s hard to tell them apart.
Their abilities aren’t very strong yet, so even though they can use powers, as long as people stay alert, they can handle them just like regular level 2 zombies.
Earlier, the others were—hey!”
Luciel stopped mid-sentence as Treyton reached over and grabbed a slice of the watermelon he had just cut.
“It’s just one slice, don’t be stingy,” Treyton said, taking a bite.
“I haven’t even tasted it yet. There are still some watermelons left, why don’t you cut your own?” Luciel said, glaring at him.
“Don’t glare. You already sliced a big one. Are you even going to eat all of them?” Treyton said while looking at the watermelon slices on the plate.
