Chapter 339: Chapter 338: Going out of the base for another mission 3

It was also clear that they weren’t used to cooperating with others. Even though they were trying, they were still far behind Dan and the others when it came to coordination and teamwork.

And Azim, who was with them, was clearly skilled at killing zombies, but his ability to work with others was lacking.

Even though he could have provided assistance to his teammates, he focused more on killing as many zombies as he could by himself.

It seemed like he was more comfortable moving alone or having others assist him, rather than being the one to help others.

As for Vivian and Lex, who also had abilities but hadn’t used them in combat yet, they could only rely on weapons like Camille and the others. Still, even though the two of them couldn’t use their abilities yet, they weren’t lacking in bravery, and the way they used their weapons was also acceptable. Of course, they still needed more training.

It was the same with Camille and Lottie. Both of them were working hard to kill the zombies around them, but their movements still needed improvement, as there were a lot of gaps in their fighting techniques.

As for Astrid and the others, they basically had no problems dealing with zombies, as they already had enough skills. The only one who needed to catch up to them was Sid.

Sid had only joined them recently, and since he had been cooped up in their apartment before, he hadn’t gone out much. So even though he had been following Astrid and the others in training and during missions, he was still far behind the others in terms of combat skills.

Well, with time, he would certainly be able to catch up to Astrid and the others. Astrid and the rest were doing well, but of course, there was still a lot of room for growth. They were still very young, so there was plenty of time for them to improve and get even stronger.

In the past few days, they were the only ones who were cleaning up the zombies on the road, and those who were watching them hadn’t helped at all. So, it can be said that they were indeed doing their tasks well.

In the past few days, they only stopped by a building or other places at nighttime. But for their lunch, they didn’t bother stopping and just ate in their cars.

So, Dan and the others who were in charge of cleaning up the zombies didn’t need to solve a lot of zombies to clean up more places.

As for the others, they were indeed not busy clearing up zombies, but they didn’t stop training their own abilities and absorbing zombie crystals whenever they could.

As for Luciel, he wanted to train hard but unfortunately couldn’t, so he was back to being leisurely and just watching the others clean up the zombies from time to time.

He was only able to take action when they were finally on the outskirts of a city that was marked by Treyton, where they could check to get some supplies.

It was also the nearest place marked on the map, but in the beginning, before the bird’s attack at the base, Treyton wasn’t planning to head there because it was very close to the city.

Their original plan was to circle around the city and go to other areas first because they would also go to nearby areas near a city in farther places.

So, Treyton originally planned to go to easier places first before challenging more difficult areas.

However, because all of them needed to have some more training, Treyton decided to finally go to the nearest place marked on the map, which was very near a city.

Treyton decided that they should try going to a nearby area near a city to try and see what they could all do for the time being, as he had already announced to everyone that all of them needed to have more battle endurance.

They would try fighting more zombies for as long as they could, and if they really couldn’t stand it, then they would back off even if they didn’t get any of the goods that might be hidden there.

They were indeed planning to just give it a try, but Treyton had already ordered that they should give it their all so that they could see their limits.

So, when they were already near the city, all of them prepared all the things that they needed for combat and even had a longer rest time.

When they arrived near their destination, there were already a lot of zombies trying to attack them.

The number of zombies that were attracted by their cars was really a lot more than in other places, even though they hadn’t arrived at their destination yet.

The place where they wanted to go was the warehouses near the city that held different grains.

They weren’t sure if the grains in those warehouses were still good because of the severe weather they had experienced over the past few months.

But they still had to check those warehouses, because the grains stored there would probably be enough for the entire North Base to last for at least a year without any problems even if the population increased by a few more thousand.

Of course, that was only assuming the grains weren’t damaged and were still properly stored despite the severe weather conditions in the past few months.

The warehouse was just at the edge of the city, so they had already expected to encounter a lot of zombies, especially since the area they were going to was already heavily populated because of its proximity to the city.

And sure enough, they weren’t even at their destination yet, but they were already encountering five times more zombies than they had when passing through larger communities before.

Luciel had already prepared to fight zombies too, so when he saw that the number of zombies was really getting higher, he also went out and started killing the zombies around them.
