Capítulo 248: Chapter 248: Sanctum Of Renewal
Damian entered the Ninth Layer of the Biblical Heaven, the deepest part of Heaven, and a domain where the concentration of energy known as [Aurema] was at its highest, even among all godly pantheons.
Now that Damian had conquered both the Biblical Pantheon and the Norse Pantheon, he possessed two realms whose heavens held the densest concentration of [Aurema].
One was the place he currently stood, the Biblical Heaven, and the other was Valhalla of the Norse Pantheon.
“I should obviously choose the deepest part of the Biblical Heaven.”
Much like the Biblical Hell, the Biblical Heaven was divided into nine layers.
The deeper one went, from the First Layer to the Ninth, the denser the [Aurema] became.
Along with the increase in energy density, the size of each layer also expanded.
1st Layer: Heaven of the Innocent
2nd Layer: Heaven of Diligence
3rd Layer: Heaven of Temperance
4th Layer: Heaven of Chastity
5th Layer: Heaven of Charity
6th Layer: Heaven of Kindness
7th Layer: Heaven of Patience
8th Layer: Heaven of Humility
From the Second Layer to the Eighth Layer, these seven realms were collectively known as the Heavens of Virtues.
9th Layer: Heaven of Remembrance
The Ninth Layer of Heaven possessed the highest concentration of [Aurema], so overwhelming that only angels of the highest order could walk here without experiencing pain.
The [Heaven of Remembrance] was the final destination of souls.
After living out their afterlife across the Seven Heavens of Virtue, souls would arrive here to be entered into the cycle of reincarnation.
Damian surveyed his surroundings.
Thousands of angels of the highest order were present, including figures comparable to the Seven Angels of Virtue.
Seraphim were angels of the highest order.
The easiest way to identify them was by their wings, three pairs in total.
The greater the number of wings, the stronger the angel.
The same rule applied to Dark Angels.
The strongest Dark Angel in existence also possessed three pairs of wings.
The Seraphim who sensed their progenitor’s gaze bowed respectfully before returning to their duties, tending to the souls awaiting reincarnation.
Damian’s eyes shifted to the [Sanctum of Renewal].
It was the place where souls were gathered one after another and guided through the reincarnation process while the Seraphim oversaw them.
However, compared to the Ninth Layer of Hell, the Hell of Judgment, this place was far less crowded.
There were significantly fewer souls awaiting reincarnation, a stark reminder of how imbalanced the flow of souls between Hell and Heaven truly was.
In Hell, souls were handled by demons.
In Heaven, souls were handled by angels, but that was never how it was meant to be.
Angels were a race born to guide and nurture souls.
Demons, on the other hand, were born from the negative presence released by the souls of Hell and were destined to manage the damned.
Heaven, too, should have birthed a race, one born from the positive presence released by heavenly souls, to manage them.
Yet such beings had never come into existence, as the responsibility had fallen entirely upon the angels.
Damian intended to change that.
“I’ll leave the [Sanctum of Renewal] as it is. I’ll create my field a few hundred meters away from it,” Damian muttered.
His gaze followed the heavenly road lined with towering white pillars, stretching toward a vast sky of blue and white.
The path led up to a monumental structure atop a mountain of clouds, where Seraphim guided souls toward reincarnation.
Suddenly, Damian sensed several presences entering Heaven.
“What are they doing here?”
With a snap of his fingers, the intruders were pulled before him.
It was Maria and her seven sisters.
The moment they appeared, Damian formed a veil of protection around them, shielding them from the overwhelming holy environment saturated with [Holy Essence] and [Aurema].
Even though they possessed [Holy Essence] themselves, the density here was far too great.
Without protection, they would suffer damage.
By the way, knowing how much Maria loved her sisters, Damian wanted to make them more powerful.
So, other than making them full-blooded, pure High Humans, he also granted them the racial essence of Angels.
Not the mixed racial essence of all the races he was the progenitor of, just the pure racial essence of angels.
He had given it to them a few weeks ago, and he could already see the changes manifesting.
Each of them had developed a pair of white wings and gained a high affinity for [Holy Essence].
It was not as prominent as Maria’s, since, unlike them, she possessed the racial essences of vampires, werewolves, angels, and demons, all mixed with her dominant High Human essence.
Because of this, she was many times stronger than they were and possessed various racial traits, such as vampire regeneration and the heightened instincts and physical strength of werewolves.
Even so, having the racial essence of angels combined with their prominent High Human essence was already a powerful golden finger for them.
“Maybe I should also give them the racial essence of vampires. It would help their regenerative abilities,”
Damian wondered.
“They wanted to see what Heaven feels like,” Maria said with a smile.
“As long as you don’t cause trouble in that place, you can do whatever you want,” Damian replied, pointing toward the towering pillar that led up to the Sanctum of Renewal, located atop a cloudy white mountain.
“Woah, that place is huge. I feel like an ant compared to that,” Anneliese Chapelle said in astonishment.
“Of course it’s huge. It’s used to house hundreds of millions of souls at a time,” Damian said casually. “I’ll probably make it even bigger once the number of souls ending up in Heaven increases.”
Then, an idea popped into his mind.
“You know, I already have Lilith managing the biblical Hell, but I’ve yet to find people to manage biblical Heaven. If you sisters get stronger, I might let you become the Lords of Heaven and even allow you to control the [Sanctum of Renewal],” Damian said.
“Really?”
Maria asked, her eyes sparkling.
Her sisters showed similar enthusiasm.
They had grown up extremely religious until they met Damian, who shattered their understanding of what a god truly was.
He showed them the truth behind divinity, teaching them that not even the most revered god, such as the Heavenly Father, was purely good as they had once believed.
This revelation dealt a heavy blow to their faith, and in time, they redirected that faith toward the new Emperor.
For Maria, it went even further, toward a man she could one day see herself having children with.
Even after all that, they still wished to align themselves with the Heaven they had once dreamed of reaching after death.
Back then, their ultimate goal was to reach Heaven after dying.
Yet now, they had already achieved it.
They were in Heaven, alive.
And more than that, the Emperor himself was offering them the power and status to rule over the greatest Heaven of all.
How could they not be enthusiastic?
“My King, what do you want us to do?” Miriam asked.
“It’s quite simple,” Damian replied. “You need to become strong enough to withstand this environment and deal with the resistance of the souls of the dead or achieve godhood. Fortunately, I can help you with both.”
He smiled warmly.
“You all have what it takes. You just need to make use of it.”
As he spoke, Damian extended his senses and located several individuals scattered across different worlds.
With a snap of his fingers, messages were sent to them, and gates appeared before each of them, leading directly to biblical Heaven, right in front of him.
Lucian Holloway, the only noble vampire aside from the Countesses who possessed the racial essences of other races, arrived from the world of Kenkai, where he had been working alongside Shiru, who was also summoned.
Yuki Nonaka and Ana Sánchez appeared next.
They were responsible for managing the human race and had been overseeing Earth in place of the Human Progenitor.
From another interdimensional gate, Elfie Ayre Dathyra and Arlen Ayre Dathyra stepped through.
Before they could greet their King, Damian waved his hand, creating a veil of protection around them to shield them from the harsh environment.
“We pay our respects to the Great Emperor,” everyone said in unison, kneeling on one knee, bowing their heads, and clasping their fists.
Damian smiled and waved his hand dismissively.
“Don’t be so formal when I’m the one who summoned you all here.”
He then turned his gaze to Elfie.
“How do you feel now?”
“I feel great,” Elfie replied, her face reddening as she noticed how attentive the Emperor was toward her.
Damian gently placed his hand atop her head, analyzing her at the soul level.
Elfie didn’t resist.
She trusted that her beloved Emperor would never harm her.
“This is very good,” Damian said with a small smile. “Becoming a [Superior Holy Angel] has refreshed your soul and restored you to peak condition. In fact, it is even better than before.”
