Capítulo 776: When Titans Arrive

In all his life, Adjutant Rhys Corvan had never seen, felt, or imagined anything like this before.

As the right-hand man of the Federation’s heir, he thought he’d seen it all. The unbelievable, the impossible, and those who could make such things possible.

From unreleased technologies to the strongest spiritual energies, that was the embodiment of Cassian, who trained them to be able to overpower armies with their collective spiritual might.

And they had shown the fruits of their training earlier. Showing how their delegation, despite their much smaller number, could easily churn out copious amounts of spiritual energy.

But just now… Just what were they looking at?

The moment the “meteor” hit the ground, everything he understood shattered.

He was frozen.

No—paralyzed.

Not attacked, not goaded. It was the immense feeling of needing to kneel because his spiritual energy wasn’t even in the same league to be noticed.

He couldn’t even grip his heart because of the staggering feeling looming over him.

Heck, he couldn’t even hear. Not the ringing in his ear or the thudding of his heart.

On a battlefield, he would’ve been dead.

To think this was after that monster had reigned in his spiritual energy.

If that guy hadn’t perfectly isolate the scope to the parade strip, would the rest of them be on the floor?

Rhys couldn’t really move, but his eyes, even in slow motion, could see the excited children.

With lesser sensitivity to external spiritual energies, most children—especially those born with lower ratings—would’ve only felt a bit. Just enough to feel power but not enough to be threatened like the rest of them.

However, because of that, they also couldn’t see what the rest of them were seeing.

The carpet of fire may have been extinguished, but in its place was a blanket of terrifying spiritual energy, visible only to those capable of using visual resonance.

God.

Was it a message for all of them?

He hadn’t been sure initially. But when that monster’s boots finally touched the same ground they were standing on, everything inside him answered with certainty.

Domination.

An overwhelming sense of subjugation that had him catching his breath.

And he, together with the Federation’s heir, couldn’t do anything but submit.

Who would’ve thought they were only just starting?

For Luca’s first step simply marked their guild’s entrance.

__

Princess Gianina Theron Solaris was on the verge of jumping down.

The Imperial princess who had somehow managed to keep her composure throughout the parade finally folded the moment her absolute idol arrived in the coolest way possible.

And she had already embedded every detail into her brain.

She just didn’t think there would be more.

But then she heard it.

A beat.

Tak tak tak.

Tak tak tak.

Tak tak tak.

The sound rippled through the sky. It was not drums. It was the synchronized percussion of the House of Kyros mechas, all hovering overhead in a precise pattern. The mechanical rhythm sliced through the stunned reverence and awe, pulling everyone out of their stupor.

The crowd straightened. Breath held. Anticipation soared.

Nina’s eyes shone so brightly they looked like stars. She refused to blink. She clasped her hands together and held her breath. Because as if that beat were a signal, Luca lifted his chin and began to walk forward.

His steps were steady. Dignified. Radiating a presence that felt too refined for someone who had just fallen from the sky like a burning meteorite.

More than that, it was incredibly relaxed for someone whose mere strides marked arrivals.

Tak tak tak.

The far end of the parade route trembled as a shadow loomed over them.

Then it happened.

A deafening roar tore across the parade grounds as a black mecha dropped from the sky and slammed into the farthest point of the unused parade entrance.

The impact should’ve shaken everyone and yet everything held as if the ground could take such force.

But what took the people out was the mecha right before them.

Black and gold. It stood there with so much poise that it would’ve been impossible to mistake it as any other mecha.

It had to be Duke Leander’s mecha.

Nina yelped.

The crowd screamed.

But the Master Mechanics and the researchers screamed louder.

__

The masters had been half delirious from what they had witnessed earlier that it took a full five seconds before anyone registered what they were looking at.

Then everything devolved into chaos.

Some shoved. Some grabbed sleeves. At least one ancient master elbowed a colleague in the ribs as he shouted that he needed to see properly.

But before they could send each other to the medical bay, Luca continued with his stride.

Another mecha descended.

Then another.

And another.

They dropped from the sky with calculated precision, landing in a staggered zigzag formation along the parade road. To everyone staring, it looked like giant metal titans guarding his path.

People did not know where to look. Their heads snapped left and right like they were trying to watch ten different miracles at once.

Then more of the familiar mechas from the leaked footage of Zone Four descended with a metallic crash that sent the entire venue roaring with disbelief.

The livestream coordinators broke into panic.

They zoomed. They panned. They shouted at each other. They begged for air clearance confirmation. They tried to update captions only to backspace repeatedly as new mechas dropped before they could finish typing.

While seeing mechas in a parade wasn’t new, never has it been done like this.

What kind of ground would’ve been able to support the impact of barrelling mechas?

Moreover, since when did this many high-profile mechas gather in a student’s parade?!

Who even suggested this?!

But before the stream coordinators as well as the expo organizers crashed out, the sky cracked open.

And a green mecha plummeted downward like a furious comet.

It spun once, twice, a violent spiral that left a streak of emerald light tearing across the sky before it straightened out and slammed into the ground with a force that could’ve sent the nearest spectators stumbling back if not for the oppressive spiritual barrier in place.

Gasps erupted in synchronized excitement.

Cheers erupted.

Then before the dust could even settle, a second roar followed.

A red mecha descended.

Not a fall. Not a crash. A controlled strike, like a war vanguard slamming into a battlefield with shields raised and locked.

Master Mechanics were getting goosebumps all over as they stopped shoving each other to take everything in.

Like that cobalt blue medium mecha that sliced downward from the sky like a blade of cobalt lightning.

The wind it kicked up with its wings rolled across the parade grounds like a cold wave.

And still Luca walked.

But then the capital howled.

A cyclone ripped through the space between the mechas, swirling intensely that people instinctively shielded their faces.

The whirlwind swooped low enough that smoke billowed and for a heartbeat, no one could see anything.

But when the smoke pulled away like a settling mist, it revealed that Luca was still walking.

Untouched. Unshaken, not even a hair out of place.

Only this time, behind him, one by one, figures were cascading from the dissipating cyclone.
