Capítulo 1024: Chapter 1024 Became Official

The plush, comfortable interior only added to her excitement.

“Come on in,” Hera said with a smile, inviting Cherry. Cherry eagerly tugged at her elder brother’s sleeve, prompting him to roll her wheelchair closer so she could be carried inside.

Only then did the eldest Sullivan brother come back to his senses and pushed Cherry closer. Dr. Zigheart followed closely behind them, while the other Sullivan brothers were inspecting the car. After all, what man wouldn’t get excited at the sight of such a remarkable vehicle? Cars were, after all, one of a man’s favorite toys.

The bodyguard who had opened the door gave a small, respectful curtsy. “Miss, if you will…” he said gently, asking Cherry’s permission before lifting her to the seat nearest the door. Cherry’s eyes sparkled as she nodded eagerly.

The guard then gestured for Dr. Zigheart to enter first. Once the doctor was seated, the guard carefully carried Cherry, helped her settle comfortably, and folded the wheelchair before placing it in the compartment. He bowed once more to the Sullivans before returning to his seat in the passenger area.

Only when the Rolls-Royce Phantom drove away, leaving behind nothing but exhaust fumes, did the Sullivans snap back to reality. They looked at one another, eyes wide and jaws agape, stunned by the precision, care, and sheer professionalism they had just witnessed.

“Holy shit, bro! Did you see that? If I remember correctly, my company was the one that shipped that car back here from England! And as far as I can recall, I even signed the waiver for any damage; it was a fully customized car according to the client’s order. It cost $175 million, and with insurance and everything, probably up to $250 million! I just… I can’t believe I’m seeing it again. I always thought a politician or some big magnate must have ordered it. But to think that…”

The third Sullivan brother trailed off, unsure how to continue. He could see the car clearly, but he had no idea who owned it. At the time he signed the waiver, the owner’s identity was encrypted and undisclosed.

As part of his job, he wasn’t allowed to dig into his client’s personal information; it would have been a violation of his professional ethics. Beyond that, he had never been the type to stick his nose where it didn’t belong; he came, signed the contract, and left.

“W-What? Are you sure?” the second Sullivan brother asked, still in disbelief. As someone in the military, the most expensive things he had ever seen were machines of war, state-of-the-art missiles, or tanks that cost hundreds of millions.

But that price usually covered multiple units; a single unit at that cost would have to be something like a cutting-edge marine ship with the latest technology, and even then, only at a certain scale.

A car costing that much? Impossible, unless it was some rare collectible destined for a museum.

They all exchanged looks once more, the shock and disbelief mirrored in each of their expressions. Finally, the eldest Sullivan brother cleared his throat and brought them back to their senses.

“Alright. You might be right about how much that car costs, but we still don’t know who owns it, and it’s not our place to question it. What matters is that our sister has found a good friend.”

“For her to go this far just to give our family and Cherry some face… that’s our blessing. So the least we can do now is return the favor and support her.”

“Don’t worry, brother. I’ll give her all the resources she needs in the entertainment industry and back her up. Her career will only get better from here on out,” the fourth Sullivan brother said, patting his chest with full confidence.

After all, he had a massive international fan base and was well-established in the global film scene. He might not be on Xavier Montague’s level, but he wasn’t far behind either, second only to Xavier in terms of international popularity and acting skill.

With his connections, giving Hera opportunities such as ambassador deals and collaborations with major luxury brands like Chanel or Dior would be easy. If he personally put in a word with those brand owners, he was certain Hera could soar to new heights and start earning billions annually.

Hearing this, the Sullivan brothers exchanged satisfied nods, content with the promises and support they were offering.

While the Sullivan brothers were busy discussing how they would support Hera, as if completely forgetting that Zhane had been the one helping them the most, Zhane would have definitely stopped being a gentleman and kicked each one of them if he had heard their conversation. He could already tell these men were trying to curry favor with his woman.

Meanwhile, Zhane, Hera, Rafael, and Cherry were already on their way to the venue. Coincidentally, the hospital was close to the downtown crossroads where Bry’s assigned pickup point was.

So once they passed that intersection, two Rolls-Royces began traveling together in a neat convoy. Leading them was a black armored vehicle, and trailing behind them were two more armored cars carrying Hera’s bodyguards.

To anyone watching, the entire formation looked like a foreign dignitary had arrived and was being escorted to an important event. The cars ahead instinctively moved aside; no one wanted to risk blocking what clearly looked like a VIP convoy.

The armored vehicles alone were customized bulletproof Hummers worth over a million, and no driver was foolish enough to risk scratching them. And as for the extended Rolls-Royce Phantom and the Rolls-Royce Cullinan… those cars practically screamed obscene wealth.

Thanks to the drivers on the road instinctively giving way, Hera’s entourage breezed through the traffic effortlessly, barely noticing the other vehicles as they made their way to the venue.

Meanwhile, Athena and Zen, riding in Athena’s mint-green Bugatti Chiron, were equally striking among the line of cars. Its vibrant color made it impossible to miss, even they barely registered the convoy that had sped past them; other drivers had parted instinctively, as if an ambulance were rushing through.

“What was that?” Zen asked, leaning toward the window, his eyes following the disappearing trail of luxury vehicles.

“What?” Athena asked, finishing a quick message on her phone as she checked in on Liz and Hera.

“I just saw a convoy go past us…” Zen replied with a sigh. They had left early, but with the debut concert happening today, the streets were already crowded. Everyone who wanted to attend seemed to have a car, and traffic had started building up as early as lunchtime.

“Hey… since the traffic is so heavy and it’s boring just sitting here, how about—”

Before Zen could react, Athena unbuckled her seatbelt and leaned closer, her sudden boldness making his heart skip a beat. Instantly, Zen’s mind went blank; his cheeks and ears flushed red as he instinctively leaned back.

Athena, however, wasn’t fazed. She noticed his Adam’s apple bobbing subtly as she rested her hand on his thigh, gently tracing circles over it.

“What do you think?!” she asked, her voice dripping with playful suggestion.

Zen’s mind raced. They had just confirmed their relationship, not that it mattered too much, given what had happened between them. Although it had been an accident, it had already happened. Athena’s constant teasing, her playful demands for abs pictures, and her 101 little ways of seducing him had worn him down.

Finally, he gave in. “I’ll take responsibility,” he admitted, his voice low but certain. He knew Athena might act confident and experienced, but deep down, he understood it was her first time. And for him, taking responsibility felt natural and necessary.

Now that they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend, Athena’s little seductions had only stepped up a notch. She had wanted to share the news with Hera the moment it happened, but with everything going on in Hera’s life lately, there hadn’t been a chance.

With her sharp, mature mind, Athena felt like she was keeping an innocent little canary at her side, Zen, her thoughts teasingly framing him as delicate and vulnerable compared to her own experienced, confident self. In her mind, she felt like a playful cougar with a young, willing companion, and she was thoroughly enjoying the dynamic.

Of course, if Zen ever found out that she was thinking of him as a little canary… well, he’d probably go wild. Three days of relentless teasing from him would follow, showing exactly who was the domineering CEO and who was the little canary in their playful little world.

“Say it…” Athena leaned even closer, her breath brushing over Zen’s exposed Adam’s apple. It bobbed enticingly as he swallowed, and she let out a soft, teasing chuckle, her eyes following its movement with playful intent.

“I-I…” Zen stammered, his face flushing. Even though they had already done more intimate things that night and he had been fully aware of what happened, just thinking about it now made him embarrassed all over again.
