Chapter 1002: Chapter 1002 The Current Of Gossip Changed

[HeraIsMySister: That’s something sister Hera always tries to teach us, because what do we gain from pulling each other into the mud, other than making ourselves look like clowns in front of men who’ll never take us seriously?]

[AuntieNextDoor: @HeraIsMySister Good girl! That’s the spirit, put that woman in her place! ]

[AuntieNextDoor: @BelindaIsMyName Even a kid knows better than you! Don’t you feel even a little embarrassed? Women shouldn’t be tearing each other down. Look at Hera, she’s brought home one achievement after another, fresh from Europe, and because of her success, she’s helped elevate the image of women around the world.]

[AuntieNextDoor: She’s proven that whatever men can do, women can do just as well, if not better. Thanks to women like her, more men have started taking us seriously, even in business meetings where our opinions used to be ignored.]

[AuntieNextDoor: That’s a huge step forward for all of us women, so why not support her instead of belittling her? Hera has become a symbol of confidence and ambition for so many.]

[AuntieNextDoor: @BelindaIsMyName Or what, do you just enjoy being trampled on by men and treated as less than an equal in the workplace?]

[BelindaIsMyName: @HeraIsMySister and @AuntieNextDoor That’s not what I meant! I just think Miss Silvia Avery comes from such a prominent family that it’s hard to believe she’d lie or stir up trouble for Hera over a man. So, maybe she really is telling the truth.]

[HeraIsMySister: @BelindaIsMyName So… are you saying this is Sister Hera’s fault now?]

[BelindaIsMyName: That’s not what I meant! Ugh, you keep misunderstanding me! I don’t even know how to explain it properly, but I swear, I never meant to belittle Hera or anything.]

[AuntieNextDoor: Alright, alright, so long as you don’t keep throwing those subtle remarks around. My little assistant here has a sharp nose for things like that and gets sensitive whenever it’s about Hera. She’s been targeted enough already.]

[AuntieNextDoor: Anyway, I really don’t like Miss Silvia’s tone when she talks to little sister Hera. She sounds so condescending and arrogant! If there hadn’t been security on that floor, would she have actually dragged everyone along to barge into a patient’s hospital room?]

[AuntieNextDoor: That’s just ridiculous. Or tell me, is this the kind of behavior Princeton teaches their students now?]

[PrincetonAdmin (Verified): Hello there, @AuntieNextDoor. Please don’t misunderstand our institution. We uphold the values of good conduct and proper manners. Our goal is not only to help our students achieve great success but also to nurture them into leaders who can bring their nations to new heights, no matter which industry they pursue.]

[PrincetonAdmin (Verified): However, Miss Silvia’s actions are her own and do not represent our school. While we strive to instill knowledge and integrity in all our students, we cannot dictate a person’s true character. We hope you understand.]

[HeraIsMySister: Hahaha! Isn’t that basically a polite way of saying Silvia doesn’t have good character?]

[PrincetonAdmin (Verified): @HeraIsMySister We never said that. We simply wish to clarify that while our students’ professional achievements may reflect the education and knowledge they gained from us, their personal conduct and choices are their own.]

[PrincetonAdmin (Verified): A person’s true character cannot be taught or fully known by any institution, as I believe everyone understands. So please, let’s not associate individual misbehavior with our school’s teachings; we assure you, such behavior does not represent Princeton.]

[AuntieNextDoor: Alright, alright, my bad, @PrincetonAdmin (Verified). You’ve got a point. This whole issue isn’t really about education or morals anyway; it’s about Silvia and Leo’s so-called marriage arrangement. My mistake for dragging your school into this, I’m sorry.]

[AuntieNextDoor: q(╯ᆺ╰๑)]

[PrincetonAdmin (Verified): @AuntieNextDoor Apology accepted.]

[PasserbyGod: Did anyone else notice how Silvia even knew Hera was staying on that hospital floor? With that many security details around, it’s obvious they were trying to keep her location a secret.]

[PasserbyGod: From what I know, the VIP floors at Providence Everett Medical Center are heavily secured and reserved for high-profile patients only.]

[PasserbyGod: Even if someone tried to bribe the staff, no one would dare offend the Everett family just for a quick payout. They’re extremely strict when it comes to protecting a patient’s privacy.]

[PasserbyGod: And since Silvia came all the way there just to cause trouble, doesn’t that mean she was specifically targeting Hera? I haven’t heard anything about Leo Hendrix being injured, so it’s safe to say Silvia went there just for Hera. Also, staying in that VIP ward costs a fortune, so what does that tell us?]

[PasserbyGod: If I’m not mistaken, the daily rate for staying on the VIP floor is around a hundred thousand dollars. But judging from the room Hera came out of earlier, she was clearly assigned to one of the top-tier suites, the kind that costs no less than two hundred fifty thousand dollars a day.]

[PasserbyGod: And if you’re wondering why it’s that expensive, it’s because those rooms are practically like luxury hotel suites. They’re spacious, fully furnished with a sofa set, a mini kitchen, and even a bathroom with a bathtub. Basically, you could live there comfortably for weeks.]

[PasserbyGod: More than that, the rooms are designed to accommodate multiple visitors without feeling cramped. You could probably fit in another king-size bed and still have plenty of space.]

[PasserbyGod: They’re also structured to allow medical staff to bring in advanced equipment directly into the room whenever needed, so patients don’t have to be moved around for tests or treatments.]

[PasserbyGod: That kind of setup is meant for those with serious injuries or conditions that require constant monitoring and top-level care.]

[Carla: @PasserbyGod, why do you always know so much about the upper crust? Are you secretly one of them?]

[Carla: ( 」゚ Д゚ 」]

[HeraIsMySister: @Carla, bingo! You got it right, he’s a low-key rich old man, trust me.]

[HeraIsMySister: (खਉख)]

[Carla: Ohhh, that explains it! I honestly can’t wrap my head around how expensive that hospital room is. I mean, that kind of money could buy me a fully paid apartment in a nice neighborhood, but for the rich? It’s just the daily rate of a hospital suite! Damn, that’s mind-blowing!]

[HeraIsMySister: @Carla, haha, you must be new here. We were just like you the first time, too, but you’ll get used to it eventually. Once you start following Sister Hera, you’ll see that this kind of thing is just the tip of the iceberg. ]

[HeraIsMySister: (^_<)]

[Carla: Oh! I was just too busy being a corporate slave, drowning in reports and deadlines, that I never really had time to follow any celebrities. It just so happened that I saw a trending topic about the Avery and Hendrix families. Since I’m working at a subsidiary under the Hendrix Group, my curiosity got the best of me.]

[Carla: ( ^ิ艸^ิ゚)]

[HeraIsMySister: @Carla, you should really tune in more often! You’d get to see the wonders (and drama) of the upper class. It’s envy-inducing sometimes, but honestly, it’s also fun and kind of educational. You pick up a trick or two that might come in handy someday. ]

[HeraIsMySister: (¬‿¬)]

[HeraIsMySister: Thanks to following Sister Hera, I even managed to snatch a million dollars from Leo Hendrix himself, which became my college fund! Not only that, I got to meet my current boss and landed an internship that gave me serious financial firepower. And now, when I meet rich people, I don’t act like a total bumpkin anymore. Hehehe ]

[HeraIsMySister: 乁(⌐■∀■)ㄏ]

[Carla: @HeraIsMySister Wouldn’t that just teach gold diggers new tricks to hook rich and handsome men? ( 」゚ Д゚ 」]

[HeraIsMySister: @Carla Haha, I never really thought of it that way, but I guess that could happen. Still, if they truly follow Sister Hera’s example, they’ll end up learning how to become strong, independent women instead.]

[HeraIsMySister: Who knows, maybe they’ll give up being gold diggers altogether and rise from the ashes like phoenixes! ]

[HeraIsMySister: A lot of women who follow Sister Hera have changed their mindset. Why rely on a man when you can stand on your own two feet? It’s way better to build your own career, love yourself, and have your own financial freedom.]

[HeraIsMySister: That way, your world doesn’t revolve around a man who might cheat or mistreat you later. Confidence and independence are the best glow-ups there are!]

[HeraIsMySister: (*▼o▼*)ノ]

[Carla: @HeraIsMySister Hmm… you know what? That actually makes a lot of sense! I think I like that idea way more! ]

[Carla:(。♥‿♥。)]

[GotStrongAfterTheStorm: OMG, I love the sound of that! It really hits home. I actually got cheated on by my ex. I gave up my budding career as a marketing manager for him, and we worked in the same company. When we started living together, he convinced me to resign so I could “focus on our future” and prepare for marriage.]

[GotStrongAfterTheStorm: Because of that, my promotion ended up going to him instead. I thought I was doing the right thing, supporting the man I loved… but instead of appreciating me, he started taking me for granted. He expected me to wait on him hand and foot, cook for him, clean, and handle everything at home.]
