The Primordial Record - Chapter 1988
Capítulo 1988: Consequences
Rowan was able to properly observe this process and discovered that while Enoch could not give many instructions to the Abomination due to the fact that he could not fully integrate himself with Existence any longer, he did not need to do much. The Abomination he created was not a scapel but a hammer, and it was meant to crush all opposition.
The Abomination faced the threats of the Primordials, and with each evolution, its powers multiplied until all opposition was crushed. Although inside this place, Rowan could clearly see the life force of the Abomination rapidly running out, it would not take too long to destroy the Incarnation.
Rowan trusted that Eos must have set aside plans to ensure that the Incarnation succeeded, and despite the enjoyment in the eyes of Enoch, he was not worried that events would go along with Enoch’s plans, and he was right.
In a move that stunned both of them here, the Incarnation had attacked the Abomination with… Memory.
Due to the unknown dimension of this place, which was at a much higher level than the purple cube space, they could also see the memories that the Incarnation was showing to the Abomination, and it stunned Rowan and Enoch in their place.
At first, the memories were of scenes of destruction; it showed the countless Realities that had fallen in the hands of the Primordials under the order of Enoch, but where this memory would have stunned any creature in place, it seemed to feed the Abomination as it gloried in the destruction of everything that took away its power from him.
Enoch’s laughter at this point was growing, and it was no longer a silent chuckle but a mad bellow, “Did he think showing me the destruction I have wrought upon Existence would make me feel pity?! Shame he has not seen what is inside this place, or seen my true face, else he would be running in horror at what I am capable of.”
Rowan pursed his lips and kept his silence, trusting in the abilities of his main body and the Incarnation. The memory continued playing, going deeper in the past, and Enoch watched everything in rapt attention, but Rowan detected the moment his amusement began to change.
It was slight change, barely noticeable, but it made Rowan focus more closely on the memory that was being shown and he saw that the memories was going far back into the past, to the beginning when the Primoridials began to slaughter Reality sixty five Million Cosmic Eras ago, and was still going back much farther in the past… to the time when Enoch was creating Existence.
The laughter had long ceased from the mouth of Enoch, and a deep frown was growing on his face. Rowan felt a chill run down his spine when Enoch turned his gaze to him before focusing back on the memory.
He could easily read the question in the eyes of Enoch, and he knew he was asking how his Incarnation was able to know the details of the past.
The truth seemed to hit Rowan and Enoch at the same time, bringing forth two different reactions. Rowan was ecstatic, while Enoch was furious. They realized that this knowledge must have come from the Incarnation striving to become the Primordial of Space.
Reaching the Primordial Level in the Primordial Origin Force of Space was a great choice, and Rowan wondered if his main body knew something like this would happen when he made that decision.
The Memory kept playing, showing the creation process of Existence in reverse, and Rowan was already aware of most of this since Enoch had told him of the creation story, but the anger and concern in the face of Enoch was not normal; something seemed off…
Why would Enoch be concerned with his Incarnation knowing about the creation of Existence? This should also be good for him, since he might be able to convince his main body to work with him instead.
Enoch raised his hand as if he wanted to disperse the memory, but he held it in place, anger and a bit of worry in his eyes, and he made no effort to hide it. Rowan’s eyes lit up, and he focused on the memory, knowing that the only reason Enoch would react in this manner must be due to the fact that the stories he told Rowan were either lies or incomplete.
Then it happened.
According to what Enoch had told him, after the destruction of the previous Existence, after a while, Enoch emerged from the space where he had hidden himself, and he began to recreate the new Existence in his image.
Well, it turned out that he was lying, because Rowan could see the memories staring at the Abomination in its boyish face. A Reality, larger than any he had ever seen, was slowly growing in the nothingness, and Enoch came upon this nascent Reality and killed him… Enoch killed Hundun, a unique Reality born outside the death and rebirth cycle maintained by the power of End.
This was the truth that Enoch had hidden from Rowan, and it had been ripped open, and now it was Rowan’s turn to smile. For so long, Enoch had used the weight of his knowledge like a whip against Rowan; he knew that Rowan did not know of the secrets of the past, and so he had ensured that the noose over his neck tightened with every passing day, and now, that noose was no longer appearing to be as tight as Enoch once believed.
Enoch glanced up and noticed the smile on Rowan’s face, and he sneered, “This changes nothing. What if he knows the Origin of Existence, Hundun died before he could take a breath, and the Incarnation would follow, you will never reach—”
Enoch’s eyes bulged in shock, fury, and intense fear as the memory of Hundun transformed in front of them. In the past, Hundun had never awakened. Enoch had stabbed him in the heart and shattered his body into infinite pieces, but in this memory, Hundun was slowly opening his eyes, and his gaze focused on the Abomination, which began to swell as its nature warred against each other.
This gaze also travelled through the eyes of the Abomination, using this memory as a medium to reach Enoch, and slammed into him. Enoch was thrown backwards, and his body slammed into the wall of the cave with bone-breaking force.
He fell to one knee, gasping in shock, and suddenly his mouth opened wide, and he began to vomit blood. The blood rushed out of him like a waterfall, and they all belonged to Rowan, for nearly twenty Cosmic Eras, Enoch had been drinking Rowan’s blood like a gigantic leech, and now the gaze of Hundun had turned that blood to poison. In the same way, the Abomination could not withstand the gaze; Enoch could not hold the blood of Hundun’s descendant inside his body.
Enoch roared in rage, but he could not stop the blood from flowing out of his body; now they were beginning to emerge from his eyes, nose, and ears, and soon, even his skin began to weep blood in vast amounts.
“No… No… this cannot be!”
Turning bloody eyes filled with rage at Rowan, he screamed, and across time and space, the dying Abomination also echoed his words,
“It is not over, Rowan, and your rights to life have just expired… I will be coming for you.”
With a roar of rage, Enoch vanished, but Rowan could still track him as a waterfall of blood erupted outside the cave, causing a fresh round of angered roar from Enoch.
