Capítulo 1981: Stop Him

Rowan’s soul was fading away on the boat, as well as his body on the Road of Eternity. His cries upon his unexpected ascension to the level of Primordial had reached the Abomination, who was in the process of digesting Eos, and a million yellow eyes turned towards Rowan in shock.

Cruelty, calculation, and fury warred across these eyes as they watched as Rowan’s body began to fade away; this was clearly not in the calculations of the Abomination.

The reason Enoch unleashed his greatest trump cards was to prevent Rowan from reaching the Primordial Level and gaining the ability to draw out all the Origin Essence stored inside it.

After butchering countless Realities and gathering a lot of Enoch’s Essence alongside most of the Essence from the previous Existences inside its pages, the Primordial Record was a storehouse of power that would determine who had the biggest stick going forward.

It may have appeared as if the relentless power of the Abomination would lead to its eventual victory, but it did not expect the impossible resistance from Eos, an Old One whose roots as a Reality should not be enough to hold it back for so long.

The Abomination knew that Eos was special, but again, it was one thing to know and another to experience it. The body of this Abomination was designed to last forever, but just because of this battle, even if the Abomination won, it won’t live for more than a few hours after this.

So much power had been poured inside the flesh of the Abomination that its eternal lifespan had been burned out of it. End could feed it all the power its need, but the rules of End still applied to it too. There must be an equivalent exchange.

And so, while End was giving the Abomination all the vitality it needed in order to fight and dominate Eos, it was also taking its eternal lifespan as payment.

Enoch thought he knew all the power that Eos controlled, and he had designed the Abomination to allocate for the growth of Eos even when he could no longer monitor his progress, and he had made sure the Abomination was designed to fight against Eos even if it turned out that he was many more times more powerful than it was expected… still, it did not matter as all of his calculations fell short.

The battle nearly took a turn for the worse when Rowan had pushed through its manipulation of time and began his Tribulation, but just because he was able to begin his Tribulation, it did not mean that its control over time had ended.

Enoch, hence the Abomination, knew that a disparity between time across Limbo and the time that surrounded Rowan would lead to a clash during his ascension, leading to his eventual failure.

It never really needed to physically stop Rowan; that was just a ruse it was making in order for Eos not to see the danger already waiting for his Incarnation.

You see, Eos had never observed the Ascension of an Ancient Primordial, and his experience was only obtained from watching the new crops of Primordials, and while they were powerful, they were different from the Ancient Primordials.

The new Primordials did not need to be unified with the time stream of Limbo during their Ascension, and that was why Eos could create so many new Primordials in such a short period of time, because he was accelerating time inside Eosah’s Reality.

If Primordials could be created easily inside a region of accelerated time, then Existence would be filled with Primordials, but this was not the case, and it was unknown if Eos was aware of this constraint placed upon Ancient Primordials and their need to follow the rules of Existence or be shut out from its bounties.

However, judging from the actions of Eos, he was not aware how crucial it was for the Ancient Primordial to be properly aligned with the time flow of Limbo, especially for a concept like Space that fully encompasses all the boundaries of Limbo. If he had known, then he would have realized that the killing blow against his Incarnation had been made at the beginning of the fight.

Rowan failing his Tribulation was set in stone, and the Abomination had made sure it was prepared for the moment. Despite the surprising resistance from Eos, its knowledge of the future had given the creature the chance it needed to win this fight. So its shock could be imagined when Rowan not only pushed through the five-fold Tribulation, but he also succeeded in reaching this state despite the barrier of time it had placed down.

If there was ever a chance that Rowan would reach the level of Primordial, then the Incarnation would not waste its time fighting with Eos. It would not matter if turning its back against Eos would lead to its death; just stopping Rowan and seizing the Primordial Record was all it needed to win.

Anger and fear washed through the mind of the Abomination, and the only reason it was not insane was that it knew that collecting all the power inside the Primordial Record would not be an easy affair, so there was still a chance for Rowan to be stopped.

Rowan’s body was beginning to fade away, and the Abomination rightly believed that Rowan was about to flee. However, it could not pursue ROwan at the moment without killing Eos or breaking him down to the extent that recovery would take too long. Although things were going well, it did not appear as if even this present evolution of the Abomination would be enough to hold down Eos, who seemed to be getting stronger and was on the verge of breaking out of his bonds.

Frustrated, the Abomination screamed, “Oh, you cursed children, I know you have left your shades behind, and wish to fish for benefit on the backs of your father…”

A massive red blade burst out of the body of the Abomination as Eos’s Destroyer began cutting its way out of the prison of flesh, and the cries of the Abomination became more shrill.

“Fools, would your hatred for me blind you from the threat that he would become if he seizes the power of the Primordial Record? Cursed children, stop him!”

The body of Rowan that had almost become translucent froze in place as eight massive pillars of light appeared around the purple cube.
