Chapter 1853: Reverse Devour

The leap between struggling to fight the Primordials and wanting to consume them was insane to consider, but Rowan understood the sheer weight that a higher order power had over a lower one, and he might only have a single chance to make an impression, and anyone else might think small, but Rowan was a predator whose hunger for victory was rarely seen.

‘Was this what Death saw when it warned me about my actions? Maybe it is something else, but at this moment, my mind is set.’

Eos’ growing form stood in Limbo, even as an adolescent; his size was five hundred times bigger than Eosah, and this was him at his base form, meaning he did not expand his body using any technique. Entities at their level could assume any shape and size, making this distinction to judge their strength and potential largely meaningless at a glance, but it did not mean that such a large base form was useless, as it represented the pure potential and ability of that entity.

The intensity of energy that Eos could control was already far greater than Eosah, and even if she could get access to the same energy stores as Rowan, it would be impossible for her to match his depths due to his sheer size. Not to mention that only a body as vast as his own would be able to create energy of this intensity.

He should have been naked, but a shawl of relic photons gathered from every dead universe in existence gathered around his waist, and they flowed around him as if an ocean of light covered his waist.

There seemed to be a pause, and suddenly, two gigantic wings not connected to his body burst out behind him, followed by his crown. There was a sound as if a billion Old Ones were screaming as Eos’ full might was revealed to all of existence. Around him, his Archons began to appear, but they were not looking at him, but facing outward; they would be his final guard if something unexpected occurred.

Eos looked around in surprise, raising both of his arms to his face, a small part of him taking note of his flawless form and appreciating it. However, he expected that his Final Form should have taken hold by now. What was causing the del…

“FWOOOSHH!!!”

With a sound as if a thousand Realities had been placed to the torch, a brilliant white light exploded from Eos’ body, and his body was frozen in place as his mind was battered by a flood of information that sought to erase all he was.

Like a mortal grabbing hold of a lightning bolt, this power was too great for him to handle, and since he was assuming the weakness of the Final Form, the strain was many times greater than what his Incarnation could ever hold, but Eos was not a mortal or his Incarnation.

His body was healing as fast as the destruction was tearing through him, and even though his mind was like a single leaf blowing in a storm, his Will was eternal. This power that now ravaged his body was alive and yet not, but it was aware and was amused at his struggles, but that did not matter to Eos.

If he was conscious at the moment, he may have been thrown off by the sheer power and depth of this presence inside this power, but in his present state, he was nothing but Will and pure stubbornness. His Will did not care if this was the greatest power in all existence; it simply seized it by the neck and growled,

“EAT!”

The End of All Hierarchies responded to his crazy desire, and the light of his Final Form that was shining bright suddenly went out. All of it drilled into his body, washing across uncountable trillions of miles of his body instantaneously and locating the Origin of Soul that was beginning to crack open, it was never meant to contain powers of this level, and only its esteemed status as an Origin Force had kept it in place, but that was about to end…

The flowing stream of white light reached the Soul Origin, and it transformed into a blurry form of a boy made from the darkest stuff of stars, bigger than a universe, and even though it was hard to see, the boy was grinning. The boy reached across and seized the Soul Origin and threw it into his mouth, and then he began to chew.

Eos was watching all of this in fascination, as he had two streams of consciousness to monitor everything that was happening: the first was his Incarnation Rowan, who was inside the Soul Origin and was already on the verge of death, and the second was his consciousness overseeing everything happening inside his body.

A moment before, inside the Soul Origin, large hands had been reaching for Rowan, and he did not pull back; instead, he did the opposite and pushed his perception forward to see the true form of the Primordials, and what he saw made a part of him wish he didn’t.

He could not see much; his perception would have to be billions of times stronger to see the entirety of a Primordial, but the hands descending upon him were close enough for him to see.

The skin of the first hand closest to him was like a pulsating membrane, raw and inflamed. It was as if flayed muscle stretched over a void. All of the power contained by the Primordials had stretched their bodies to the limit, and yet their immortal nature did not permit them to bleed or to die; their bodies just kept stretching, even when they had reached their limits. This sheer mental dissonance and torture were enough to drive anyone insane.

This gave Rowan an opportunity to see below the skin, and he glimpsed writhing innards, made up of countless maws snapping, teeth grinding against each other in a frenzy, dripping with a saliva that burned with an acrid, chemical stench. This was the madness and hunger of a Primordial, filled with hate and malice, and it slammed against him like a physical blow.

If not for the fading light of his Final Form, Rowan would have collapsed here, his mind would shut off, and he would stand, waiting like a lamb for slaughter. How did Telmus hold back the full might of these seven for so long? A flash of pride went through his heart at the strength of his budding Primordial, but that was his last thought as the hands, bigger than him, yet multiple of them, were able to surround him. They seized him like a vice, and his strength, as great as it was, was useless against the immensity of their madness and hunger.

His senses were placed into darkness, but that was no mercy, because the pain began as a trillion mouths began to eat him alive.

He could not fight it, but Rowan was not in despair; he had performed his duty in he way that it should have happened, and at this moment, the power of his Final Form, taking the shape of that mysterious boy, had grabbed this Soul Origin and tossed it into his mouth.

“That’s right, you are not the only ones who are hungry.”
