Capítulo 642: Bloody Message

Samantha sat in the vehicle with her entourage of four. In the distance was a drug den. Much similar to her own. While called a den, it was basically this gang’s fortress. Armed guards at every exit and a small private army inside.

Samantha wagered by the size of the building they would have as little as one hundred inside, taking into account the multitude that were back at her factory. To her side in the vehicle, Beverly was loading her needler, getting ready for the good fight, but Samantha put a rain on her parade.

“When I go in, I need you to cover the exits. No one gets in or out. This is about sending a message, but on my terms, these low lifes cannot be the messengers. Do you understand?”

Without a shred of complaint at having her expectations subverted, Beverly nodded her head. Yes my lady… Hey! When the Lady asks you a question you answer.” She said, scolding the three in the back.

“Yes my lady!” The three chimed up in unison. The group then got out of the car and then watched in perplexity as Samantha started stripping, throwing her expensive dress and shoes into the car. She wasn’t like Sophia after all, throwing all that money away on clothes on a whim…

Beverly however was looking on in sheer reverence, awaiting to see what was to come. She also had her needler at the ready in case the untested couldn’t handle what they were seeing.

Samantha then turned to the four present and smiled. “There are those that don’t understand greatness when it reveals itself and there are those that submit. I hope for your lives, you submit.

The three then watched, eyes wide in shock as their leader turned into a creature of unknown origins. Two of the girls lowered their weapons in shock while the other raised it in self defence, that one received a large nail projectile straight through her skull.

“Forgive me my lady, I should have chosen better.” Beverly said, utterly sorry and willing to accept punishment.

Samantha now in her real skin stretched out, not that she needed to and loosened up her neck. “It is fine. Once we are done here, I shall explain to the others what I am, for now. Do your jobs or face my wrath.”

Samantha then jumped halfway up a three story building, digging her claws deep into the brick work and climbed the rest of the way up, Beverly began sprinting to get into a vantage position at one of the exits, the other two lingered for a moment, watching… Whatever it is they just saw. They both exchanged a glance of deep shock, fear and most importantly curiosity before running to also get into position.

Samantha watched this and licked the teeth of her maw in delight. She then pushed away all needless thoughts as she allowed her pure hive instincts take over. Taking a few steps back for a run up, she then sprinted at full speed to the edge of the roof and jumped the forty meter gap with ease.

She landed on an unsuspecting sentry, tearing his throat out with her teeth before pulling the reinforced door to the den off its hinges. It was time for a gore feast that would make Keyla blush.

…

The sounds coming from inside the building were… Beautiful. Beverly couldn’t help hearing as she shot down a group of den rats that tried to escape through the front. Roaring, screaming and gunfire and even explosives!

The collective cacophony captivated her, prompting her to fully smile with her surprisingly white teeth. This time last month, she was in heavy drug debt doing… ‘Things’ to get by. And now here she was in a position of power, practically clean knowing that Samantha’s drug wasn’t actually a drug.

Here she was deciding the life and death of so many. The contrast stimulated her brain. She felt alive. More alive than she knew was possible. She loved it. She loved Samantha for giving her this.

*Ptew!*

She fired again, needlessly to her right. A man was just thrown out a second story window, violently landing on his neck. The fear in his eyes… It spurned her resolve. She recovered the finger sized ‘needle’ and reloaded it after a quick wipe on her shirt and continued to patiently wait for more fools.

…

When the noise died down, Beverly and the other two regrouped after a few minutes, just in time for Samantha to leave from the front door, wrapped in a perfectly white towel. A feat as a glimpse behind her showed red. Just red. Everywhere.

“With a *Hmm* *hmm* here and a- Oh good, you are here, it saves me the trouble or wrangling you. Come, let’s head back before the locals get curious and poke their heads out from their hidey holes.”

“B-Boss?” One of the girls chimed up, prompting Samantha to look in their direction.

“Yes?”

Her words felt like gravity bearing down on the woman. The invisible pressure was overbearing now she knew what Samantha was capable of, what she was… “D-D-Do you want us to collect the bodies?”

Samantha smiled amused. ” It is considerate of you to offer, but no. First, I don’t think I left a single body intact in there and secondly, removing the bodies would render my message mute. This was a show of brutality and for it to stick. It has to be witnessed. Now, enough, get in the vehicle. I will explain what you saw on the way back and what your future now entails now that you have witnessed it.

…

*BANG* *BANG* BANG*

Gunshots rang out sporadically downrange. I was taking a small break watching Janine and Fergus talking with a smile plastered on my face.

This morning I had woken up with the intention of having a serious talk with Janine, but as soon as I left my room, she ran up to me and threw herself upon me with a hug before showing me her hard work.

A Psionic bullet.

All week she had been locked in on that small piece of paper and she had managed to do it. I felt so proud of her and the happiness she was radiating because of it, that I didn’t want to sully the morning with serious talk. It was still going to happen, but just later on.

Fergus had pulled out the big guns for Janine. Literally. Compared to the gun she was using last week with the feeder and stable Psionic bullets. She had now been given a much more powerful gun with no bullet chamber. Instead the Psionic bullet was created inside the gun and Fergus was explaining to her how to do it.

Meanwhile I was still on the beginner gun, waiting for my turn for help. I was doing something wrong when not supported in my shots and I was missing very close targets. It did make sense to me though as I considered myself a Psionic melee specialist. I thrived in close to medium range, not long range.

“Apollo? Is everything alright?” A timid voice asked, tugging on my sleeve. Looking down at Evanthe who had creeped up on me in my watching of Janine, I smiled. “I’m just waiting for the two of them to finish yapping so I can get some help in leading my shots, but I’m in no rush.”

“Oh.” Evanthe said with a pause before following up a moment later. “I could help you with that… If you want? You can say no, I’ll totally underst-” “-Really you will help me?” I asked excitedly.

It might have been a bit too excited, as I think I scared Evanthe as she promptly blushed due to my loudness, which was more noticeable than usual considering her pale complexion, and she then stammered. “S-Sure! I might not be the best Psionically like you are. But I am a very good shot! I promise.”

I pretended to mull it over for a moment before going. “Mmh, Ok. But no making fun of my crappy technique. Ok?”

Evanthe laughed at this and nodded her head. “Yes, I promise.”

The two of us made our way over to my stall, next to Mindy’s who was also a very good marksman, though Janine could still outshoot her any day. She seemed in the zone, still using the pre-made bullets so I didn’t distract her.

As I lay down on the floor, I lined myself up with my scope and began aiming at a nearby target, only eight hundred meters. Once I got comfy, I turned to face Evanthe who was looking at me with a frown on her face.

“Something wrong?” I asked, confused. The woman immediately jumped in place, realising the look on her face. “Oh, nothing wrong with you! You are perfect! I mean, you look good. I mean. Your technique is looking good. For the most part. I was just trying to figure out how to reposition you into a more stable position. I am very small, I am not used to moving someone so big.”

I chuckled at that. “I assume you mean my size and not my weight? My Gyrokinesis makes me not weigh all that much. Just do what you need to do, I am at your mercy… So be gentle. Hahaha!”
