Chapter 593: The Greatest Betrayal
“Apollo~ Did you enjoy that thing she did with her tongue? Should I try it once the pulsar gets here?” I heard Onyx ask, teasingly as I walked back home. Rolling my eyes, I replied back through our link.
“You can try, but it’s not going to be better than most things you do with your stalker form tongue. That thing literally wraps around me like a snake. Kind of hard to beat that, my love.” I stated, prompting Onyx to challenge my statement.
“Yet you are steadfast that Samantha is still the best one for mouth pleasure?” I felt a rising in my pants just thinking about it, before controlling myself. ‘Well, she did literally send me into a higher state of consciousness for a moment with her technique, so yeah.’ I thought, but did not relay.
Changing the conversation topic ever so slightly, I asked. “How do you think Samantha is doing Onyx? She is supposed to be setting up another bio cult right? But honestly, I can’t see that shy, submissive former cultist being capable of the, I am guessing, ruthlessness needed to get the foundation started.’
Onyx found that statement amusing. Her future vision might not be working at this moment, but there was multiple reasons nearly ten months ago why she asked if it was Samantha or Ronnie that picked them up…
Around Apollo, sure, she was this sweet little daddy kinked up, obsessed with Onyx, obsessed with Apollo, cultist. But going forward? “I assure you, she will be fine. I am sure you will feel her lips around your treat dispenser again in the near future.
A smirk crept upon my face at the thought before my mind wandered to more scientific curiosity. ‘I hope she succeeds. As the first human I know to turn fully into another species through forced evolution, I am curious how that will have affected her.’
It would provide crucial data for my own science after all, since I couldn’t inject hive genetic material into my own body due to its incredibly aggressive takeover. ‘Jewel doesn’t like self pleasure after all…’
Samantha would be my perfect template going forward. Keyla would have worked as well, but her Bloodfiend form is preventing Physical mutation on her body despite her also being on the cusp of converting.
My thoughts on the matter ceased as I arrived at my front door. Future plans needed to take a back seat or I was going to get overloaded. Just focus on the present. Focus on your Psionics first, then dispensation work, then body strengthening, then snu snu, then and only then can I focus on future hypotheticals. A lot of barriers to get through. ‘And I doubt I will get past snu snu final barrier for the time being.’
…
Entering the home. I announced cheerfully. “Honey’s, I’m home.” I then took off my coat and realised something. Silence again. And while it was uncomfortable, this time it was clearly directed at me.
As I looked over into the living room, the scene of a great betrayal had taken place. Putting on my green hat, I looked over as my big box of cookies was strewn to the floor, nary a crumb remaining while everyone present, had crumbs all over themselves and mouths clearly full as they dared not to continue chewing…
“My cookies…” I couldn’t help grieve. They were really bloody good. The other box I got for Janine was also nowhere to be seen, so I knew I couldn’t have any more tonight. As the silence continued to grow, Lena then stood up and walked over to me.
She then opened her mouth and reached inside with her fingers and pulled out a still intact, if slightly wet, cookie. “These women are animals, Apollo. As your best friend, I thought it only natural I save you one; once I witnessed the evil atrocities taking place behind your back. Here.”
I actually believed this was Lena’s intention as I watched her at the cookie shop, she practically inhaled these things down, so for it to be in her mouth for more than a second without any bites, I felt touched by my new friend’s action.
Taking the wet cookie from her hand, I said. “Thank you, Lena. I appreciate your sentiment.” I said, making a big point of it and gave her a short hug before putting the cookie in my mouth. ‘Even soggy it tastes awesome.’ I couldn’t help thinking.
I then turned to Nerissa, the only crumb free one among them and asked. “What happened?” Nerissa then looked between the group and Apollo and audibly sighed. “Girl drama. My advice? Forget about it.”
I took a deep breath and decided to follow the advice of the ancient being. “Very well, I’m getting a beer. Does anyone want anything while I am up?” Everyone shook their heads, mouths still full of betrayal, bar one.
“Ok then, come on Lena.” I said and grabbed her hand, pulling her towards the kitchen.
Once in the kitchen I opened the fridge door and pulled out a cold one. Pulling the top off, I overdramatically threw it to the side and began drinking deeply. Lena, noticing her bestie’s state, walked over and patted me on the back. “Apollo are you ok? I will get us more cookies tomorrow ok? I didn’t think this would upset you so much…”
“Are you serious?” I shouted loudly, banging my drink on the counter. I could see in the living room, a couple of them visibly flinching. I then turned my back to them and then whispered towards Lena.
“Sorry for yelling right in your ear, I hate that more than anything. I’m just teaching them a lesson. I’m not mad at all.” Lena visibly did doubletake before a trickster’s grin sprouted on her lips.
“Oh, I knew it! We are practically the same fucking existence at this point, bestie. So devious. I love a good bit of chicanery. What’s the plan? Does it involve burning someone? Can it involve burning someone? As long as we don’t kill them and keep our story straight, we won’t get expelled.”
The glint in Lena’s eyes at the prospect of burning people was scarousing… Something I would need to have a look at myself for later, but I shot her down. “No burning. And no fire, this house costs a lot of money… Apparently. No they need to learn that they can’t abuse my forgiving nature like this. I had plans for those cookies…”
“So what is the plan? What should I do? Should we bail? Go do our own thing for a bit?” I shook my head. “No, we have to stay here, let them stew in their mistakes for a bit. They need to learn to be mindful of their actions and not just leave it to me to forgive them.”
Lena rubbed her chin, judging from the conversation about her title of bestie earlier, she had an idea how to start. “Ok, Apollo. Lean your giant ass down for a moment. I need to give you a consoling hug.”
“Roger that.” I said and lowered my body for the hug. Lena then hugged me gently in a consoling manner, resting her head on my shoulders and began shaking it like she was chastising their distastefulness.
…
“That bitch!” Gabrielle muttered through her teeth. She should be the one consoling her son! She just… She messed up and felt incredibly guilty, especially considering she is an outsider here.
Janine then spoke up. “The fucking nerve of that one. She was the one that started eating the fuckers first as well And now she is consoling him? Ugh… I feel really bad. Did you see the look on his face? I swear my heart punched itself. I’ve never seen him so upset before… And I’ve literally seen him dying. Orchid, have you ever seen him this upset? What should we do? Orchid?”
Orchid was blocking out the irrelevant. The surrounding influences were affecting her thinking. She had messed up. For the second time today. She was worried that she was turning back into the Orchid who got bonked by the stick multiple times a day. She had come a long way this last year. She turned into a good girl, who only got the stick on the rarest of occasions.
She knew the reason for her current bad behaviour. The cancer was all around her. Humans. She was allowing them to exist around her. Talk to her. Change the way she thought. She needed to seriously evaluate how she was going to act going forward. Apollo needed her at her best and right now she wasn’t that. Apollo deserved only the best. Better than the best. His mate needed to be perfect for that is the bare minimum he deserved.
Meanwhile, Nerissa’s intrigue got the better of her and used her armour to eavesdrop on Apollo’s out of character angry behaviour and couldn’t help rolling her eyes under her helmet with a small smile on her face upon realising it was all a bit.
That being said, she would have understanded if he was a little angry though.
‘They were really good cookies after all.’
