Capítulo 1360: The Worst Case Scenario Would Be Put On Hold

“We’re here to see you, Big Brother!”

“Cinnamon is here as well!”

Thirteen fondly looked at the two adorable gluttons who timely appeared during the short break from their journey.

“Maple, Cinnamon, it’s good to see you both.” Thirteen lightly patted the head of the two girls before shifting his gaze to their older sister. “It’s also good to see you well, Stella.”

Stella smiled faintly and gave Thirteen a nod.

She had been sent to a different location in Solterra, hundreds of miles away from the teenage boy.

Not wanting to waste time looking for him, she called for her sisters, who were more than happy to take her to the location of their “Big Brother”.

“You came just in time,” Thirteen said. “I was just about to cook something good.”

“Yay!” Maple raised her hands happily. “Big Brother’s cooking is the best!”

“Cinnamon wants to eat Big Brother’s cooking!” Cinnamon also raised her hand to imitate her sister.

Camazotz found the two little girls quite funny, so he crouched down and used his most scary expression on them.

“Zion is right, you came at the right time.” Camazotz flashed his sharp teeth. “The two of you look very delicious. It’s been a while since I last ate little girls like you.”

He was expecting for the two girls to cry in fear or hide behind Zion or Stella.

So, when he saw that the two cute kids were looking at him with sparkling eyes, Camazotz wondered if he was no longer as intimidating as before.

“Wow!” Maple clapped her hands. “Mr. Bat is very funny! He actually wants to eat us!”

“Cinnamon thinks that Mr. Bat deserves an award,” Maple said. “He’s very brave for wanting to eat us. Usually, it’s the other way around!”

Camazotz blinked and used a more scary face to intimidate the girls.

“I’m really going to eat you both!” Camazotz laughed evilly before grabbing the hands of the two little girls, who were giggling as if he had said something funny. “I’ve eaten hundreds of little girls like you!”

“Mr. Bat, we’ve actually eaten thousands of monsters like you,” Maple replied sweetly.

“Cinnamon likes bats dipped in barbecue sauce,” Cinnamon rummaged her pocket for a bottle of barbecue sauce. “Oh… where did I put it?”

The Death Bat blinked once then twice before shifting his gaze to Thirteen.

“H-Hey, am I not scary enough?” Camazotz asked, pointing at his face.

“Oh, believe me. Maple and Cinnamon are more scary than you,” Thirteen replied. “Also, don’t use eating them as a threat. It just won’t work. Trust me.”

Suddenly, Camazotz felt something wet on his hand.

When the Death Bat looked at his wet hand, he saw one of the little girls shaking a small bottle, pouring sauce over the back of his hand.

“Now… it looks more yummy,” Cinnamon muttered as she continued to coat Camazotz’s hand with barbecue sauce.

“Cinnamon, don’t,” Maple said. “We shouldn’t eat Big Brother’s friend.”

“Not even a hand?” Cinnamon asked.

“… I think a hand is good.” Maple pondered before giving a reply. “Just make sure you only eat the hand, okay? Last time, you said you only wanted to taste that Lion Monster, but you swallowed him whole.”

“Teehee~” Cinnamon acted cutely, making Thirteen smirk.

“Don’t eat him, okay?” Thirteen lightly patted Cinnamon’s head, who seemed determined to take a bite of Camazotz’s hand. “He’s Big Brother’s ally.”

“Awwww~” Cinnamon looked heartbroken because she couldn’t sample the Death Bat’s hand.

“Don’t worry, I’ll cook you something better!” Thirteen promised. “After all, my cooking is better than Camazotz’s hand.”

After convincing the twins to leave Camazotz alone, he proceeded to cook some omelet for them.

Stella had already tasted Thirteen’s cooking once, and frankly, she had no plan to taste it again for the rest of her life.

Even now, she couldn’t understand why every food that the teenage boy cooked tasted like bubblegum.

But for some reason, her little sisters loved it. It was incomprehensible.

Camazotz could only scratch his head before flying away. He planned to hunt for something to eat and return when he was done feeding.

Although Thirteen didn’t say anything, he could already guess why Stella had come to look for him.

She believed that he could find the cure that would allow her to see the colors of the world again.

As a System, he was well-aware of the existence of unheard, weird diseases that could affect people.

But this was the first time he had heard about someone’s sight being purely grayscale.

He had already tried to look for clues within his Soul Core, but he wasn’t able to come up with any matching diseases that were similar to Stella’s problem.

In the end, he thought that maybe a Divine Panacea would be able to fix her problem.

However, since his powers were sealed, he was unable to access the System Shop to browse any medicines that could cure her.

“Camazotz and I are headed to the Fortunate Isles,” Thirteen said as he placed an omelet on a plate.

He then cracked three more eggs, and placed it on his frying pan to cook a second omelet for the twins.

“Is your mission related to the Celestial Army?” Stella inquired.

“Yes,” Thirteen replied. “That’s the mission I have right now.”

“That’s also my mission,” Stella stated. “Since you’re here, you have no plans to go to Mount Olympus, right?”

“No.” Thirteen replied before placing the second omelet on a plate, serving it to Maple and Cinnamon. “That mission is a suicide mission. I intend to wait until the last mission before I take it seriously.”

Stella glanced at her two sisters, who were critiquing Thirteen’s cooking and giving it a perfect score each time.

It was very rare to make the twins this happy with food, and for a brief moment, she also wanted to take a taste of Zion’s cooking.

However, after remembering what it would taste like, she decided to refrain from taking a bite.

“What will you do in the Fortunate Isles?” Stella decided to focus on what was more important while watching Thirteen add more eggs in his frying pan.

“To take one key needed to open Pandora’s Treasury,” Thirteen answered. “The treasury the Celestial wishes to open needs seven keys.”

“Ah!” Stella finally understood what the teenage boy planned to do. “You’re a genius, Zion. To think you have thought this far.

“As long as you have one of the keys, they will not be able to open the treasury. That means that we will be able to complete the last mission without doing anything.”

She had to admit that she hadn’t thought of this angle when she received the mission.

Stella also agreed that the current mission that the God of Wanderers had given them was a suicide mission. But in truth, the first mission was impossible to do in the first place.

Even if they traveled as fast as they could, the Wanderers wouldn’t be able to reach Mount Olympus before the Celestial Army arrived to take the key.

The God of Wanderers was betting that Zion would be able to see through the problem and act accordingly.

Although ‘The One’ used a roundabout method, he did succeed in his original goal because the teenage boy knew about the keys that would open Pandora’s Treasury.

With the System of Cannon Fodders at the helm, Laplace Demon was finally able to sigh in relief. As long as Thirteen secured one of the keys, the worst case scenario would be put on hold…

At least, for the time being.
