System's POV - Chapter 1290
Chapter 1290: This Will Be A Bumpy Ride
“You really made us worry, Stella,” Chiffon, the mother of Maple and Cinnamon, said after she finished hugging her.
The dwarf lady was smaller than Stella. However, she had the ability to turn into a giant if she wished for it.
“I’m sorry if I made you worry, Mama Chiffon,” Stella replied. “I’ll do my best to be more careful next time.”
“You do that,” commented another beautiful lady who goes by the name Wendy. “Everyone panicked when Maple and Cinnamon brought you here in that near-death state.”
Stella’s family was incredibly big. Bigger than most families in the world.
Her father was considered a legend within their world, and everyone treated him like a Deity.
He was incredibly strong, but he was no match against his wives, who made sure that his feet were firmly planted on the ground.
“I feel sorry for this person named Zion.” Morgana, another one of her father’s wives, sighed. “Your father will definitely make things hard for him in the future.”
All the ladies inside the room nodded their heads in agreement, knowing how overprotective William could be when it came to his daughters.
Stella smiled wryly and wanted to tell her mothers that they were getting the wrong idea.
She and Zion weren’t in any kind of relationship, let alone the one they were assuming.
It could even be said that, at most, it was a one-sided relationship from her side. After all, she was the one who wanted to get close to him, not vice versa.
“Sister, just tell us if you want to meet with Big Brother soon!” Maple said before patting her chest. “We will take you to him without fail!”
“Cinnamon will also help big sister and big brother be together!” Cinnamon declared.
Stella immediately blushed because her sisters’ words could be easily misunderstood.
“Zion and I are just acquaintances,” Stella clarified things before her mothers get the wrong idea. “We aren’t even friends at this point.”
“Then should I help you?” Morgana asked. “I can teach you a few things, you know?”
Morgana was a succubus, so she was confident that she could impart Stella knowledge that would allow her to get any man she wanted.
“Mama Morgana, you’re getting the wrong idea!” Stella pouted, but the other ladies inside the room only giggled because she was fun to tease.
“Go on, tell us more about Zion,” Belle said to her daughter. “I want to know if he is a good person or not.”
“Well… I don’t know if you can call him a good person.” Stella smiled wryly because the Zion she knew wasn’t really a goody-two-shoes.
She had seen his kindness and ruthlessness, and frankly, she felt that Zion was more like a villain than a hero.
Of course, this didn’t change the fact that Stella believed that the teenage boy wasn’t someone who would intentionally harm others, unless they targeted his people first.
A few more days passed, and Stella managed to talk to everyone in her family. She had played with her little brothers and sisters, and spent some time with those who were of the same age as her.
“Aethon, are you ready?” Stella asked the little Wren that had landed on her shoulder.
The little bird chirped happily, telling her Mistress that it would follow her wherever she went.
Knowing that her parents would stop her if she left without permission, Stella resorted to writing them goodbye letters before seeking out her two sisters, Maple and Cinnamon.
“Sister, Big Brother isn’t in Pangea at the moment,” Maple said.
“Then you can take me to Solterra to meet him,” Stella replied.
“Big Brother isn’t in Solterra either, sister!” Cinnamon commented. “He is in Artem.”
“Artem?” Stella frowned. “Are you talking about the Moon that can be seen in Solterra? That Artem?”
Maple and Cinnamon nodded in confirmation.
“We came to secretly observe Big Brother a day ago and saw him there,” Maple smiled mischievously.
“Big Brother didn’t see us!” Cinnamon giggled because she felt like she was playing hide and seek with ZIon.
“Is Siri with him?” Stella inquired.
Siri and her had become good friends because they usually traveled together.
“No.” Maple shook her head. “Big Sis is not with him. Only Cranky is with him.”
“Then is Rocky with him?” Stella asked.
“”Yes!””
The two girls replied in unison.
She had entered Rocky’s Mobile Fortress in the past, which meant that Zion might not have traveled to Artem alone.
After asking her two sisters more questions, they mentioned that they didn’t see any other girls with Zion.
But even if her little sisters didn’t see anyone else, they might still be there.
Since Rocky was mostly hidden underground, the two gluttons would not be able to know if there were people inside the Hellfire Bal-Boa’s Mobile Fortress.
Maple and Cinnamon also updated Stella about the war that was going to happen in Artem and asked her if she really wanted to go there.
“Maybe it will be better to wait until the war is over, sister,” Maple said with a worried look.
“Cinnamon thinks that waiting until the war is over is a good thing as well.” Cinnamon fully supported her sister’s advice.
Knowing that her two sisters were only worried about her, Stella gave them a hug before making a hard decision.
“Please take me to Artem,” Stella said softly. “I want to see him again. I’m worried about him.”
Stella also felt anxious. In her eyes, if Zion died, the hope of her life going back to normal would be buried along with him.
In fact, she was more concerned for Zion’s well-being than the young man was for his own.
After seeing that she was determined to go, Maple and Cinnamon finally relented and snuck away with her to a place where their portal wouldn’t be felt by their parents.
The two gluttons glanced at each other and nodded at the same time. They then opened the portal together and entered it, holding each of Stella’s hands.
They were not aware that from the highest tower of the Royal Palace, a red-headed Half-Elf saw everything that was happening.
“It’s time to go, Gramps,” William said.
“Good.” James whistled and called down his eight-legged horse, Sleipnir. “Hang on tight, Will. This will be a bumpy ride.”
The Bifrost Bridge activated and sent them to the Void.
From there, James and Will would travel straight to the world of Artem, where a war was about to be waged in full.
