Capítulo 726: Discussion of immediate plans
After Idan’s conversation with Irene, almost all the key figures who stood at the helm of the Kingdom’s Guild gathered in the living room of Idan and Arabel’s private house.
The Queens Guild was represented by Irene and Nayla, who came at Irene’s invitation.
The Red Fox Guild was represented by Felicia herself, Hailey, and Yara, who was invited by Idan himself.
The Flower Gardens Guild was represented by two young Valkyries, Yulaya and Hazel. Their older sister, Esma, was sitting next to them.
Also present were Arslan, who had given up the role of leader of his Defenders Guild and was no longer worried about it, and Sierra, the first and so far only Guardian of the Kingdom.
Along with Sierra came Milena and the Princess, who by this time had already found a common language and had become quite close. Milena even started studying with the Princess, the former Queen of the Womskinner race.
Only Milica responded from Limbo, while the others were busy with their own business.
Leo, as always, remained in the shadows, but he was also present at this meeting.
Essora, Idan realized, had left immediately after the banquet to drink a potion purifying her bloodline. She was currently unavailable. Milla was looking after her younger brother Sora.
“I assume everyone here already knows why we’re here,” Idan began, and most of those present nodded in agreement.
“There’s not much time left before the Third Disaster — about two weeks,” Irene said, and the faces of all the inhabitants of the Earth became serious.
“Considering this and the recent event, Sister,” Idan addressed Irene, and then turned to Filicia. “And you, Filicia.”
“We can’t delay any longer. Finish integrating your guilds with the Kingdom,” Idan urged. “Anyone who agrees to join the Kingdom, bring them here, as well as their loved ones.”
“We haven’t explained this yet, but in a recent event, when my wife Arabel was ambushed, not only beings from other worlds took part, but also the Awakened Association, as well as the Federation Government.”
“Because of this, we now have a difficult relationship with all these forces. To prevent all possible consequences, it is better to move everyone who agrees to join us here to a safe place.”
“Okay,” Irene agreed. Felicia also nodded silently, expressing her agreement.
“Also, keep buying necessities as much as possible,” Idan suggested, and then turned his gaze to Yulaya and Hazel.
“Yulaya,” he addressed her directly as the leader of the Flower Gardens Guild. “What have you decided? Will you join us or will you act on your own?”
Yulaya and Hazel smiled, then looked at Esma and Sierra.
“We decided to join you,” Yulaya replied.
“I will also raise the issue of joining the Kingdom in my Flower Gardens Guild and will try to complete the integration in the coming days,” Yulaya assured. “And I hope your words also apply to the close members of my Guild who decide to join the Kingdom.”
“Of course,” Idan replied, pleasing Yulaya, who smiled gratefully in response and nodded.
“The Kingdom has become a kind of irritating factor for many forces present in the capital, including almost all beings from other worlds. Considering that the Third Disaster is already close, I suggest moving the Kingdom’s Branch and permanent Access Portal from the Capital and finding another place for our permanent stay,” Idan suggested.
“I agree,” Irene was the first to respond. “During the Third Disaster, the Capital will be able to cope without us. The territory of the Federation is huge, and we will be able to help those who really need our support.”
“Don’t worry, we don’t intend to abandon the Capital,” Idan said with a smile, seeing the doubts of some of those gathered. “Have you forgotten where the barrier separating the Kingdom from the outside world is?”
Everyone immediately remembered that the barrier was located near the Capital.
“We can always return to the Capital if necessary, and we do not intend to cut off all ties with it,” Idan continued.
“Yes, the relationship between the Kingdom, the Government, and the Association is not entirely clear yet, but considering that the Beings of Light are behind the Association, it is unlikely that we will be able to resolve all differences quickly. Therefore, I suggest postponing this matter until the end of the Third Disaster.”
Idan did not believe that the beings of Light would agree to a truce after recent events. Although he harbored little hope of an alliance with Irina’s faction, he decided not to take any chances for now.
“And where to? Have you already chosen a place?” asked Felicia.
“Not yet,” Idan shook his head. “One of the reasons I gathered everyone here was to choose the right place together.”
“I want to admit right away that neither my wife nor I have ever participated in the previous two Disasters. We know about them only from sources accessible to all. The upcoming Disaster will be our first experience when we will be directly involved in its events,” Idan honestly admitted.
“Therefore, those of you who have already faced the first two Disasters and have experience, I would like to know your opinion when choosing a place where we will focus our forces,” he continued.
“East,” all the Awakened Ones from Earth said at the same time.
“And the North,” Arslan added.
“The Disaster covers the whole world, not limited to one region,” Yulaya said.
“Before the second Disaster, the Federation, the Association, and all the Awakened Ones were busy evacuating the population from the Southern and Western Continents,” Irene continued. “At that time, our world had not yet been invaded by creatures from other worlds, they appeared only after the second Disaster.”
“When the second Disaster occurred, almost all the main forces of the Central Continent were focused on protecting the Southern and Western borders, which is why the Eastern and Northern parts of the Federation suffered the most,” Arslan noted.
“Even now, the main forces of the Federation and the Awakened are concentrated in the South and West,” Yulaya added.
Idan couldn’t help but recall how the defense of the northernmost city of Rumbus had struggled to contain the wave of beasts.
“East and North, then?” he mused.
“I have a suggestion,” Yara said, raising her hand. “What about the city of Nordist?”
“Nordist?” — Idan had never heard of such a city before.
“That’s an excellent idea,” Irene remarked, and the others nodded in agreement.
“Idan, Nordist is located northeast of the capital,” Irene explained. “It is located far from the capital and from the border, but about the same distance from the northernmost city of Rumbus and the eastern Aurora.”
“We often visited this city during our travels, and it has its own large operating airport. I can confidently say that this is a great option,” Yara added.
“Leo,” — Idan called, and immediately information about the city of Nordist appeared on several screens that Leo had prepared in advance for such negotiations.
The more Idan and the others read about the city and its location, the more convinced they became that it was indeed a great choice.
I would like to express my gratitude to those who give gifts, power stones and golden tickets. Your support allows me to stay motivated and continue working on the book.
