In addition, Arabel noticed that there were no locals in any of the houses surrounding the site. There was not a soul within a radius of more than a kilometer from the site, except for the armed men of the “Black Limit”.

“Looks like Dan was right,” — Arabel whispered. “It’s unbelievable that they would have prepared so thoroughly just to eliminate five silver-ranked creatures.”

“It’s more like they’re hunting bigger prey like us.”

The severity of the situation prompted Arabel to focus and continue her exploration. She did not stop communicating with Bera to find out about the current whereabouts of Irene and the others.

After parking the SUV in a special parking lot reserved only for awakened and Guild members, Idan and Niko’s group headed towards the Awakened Association building.

Despite the lateness of the hour, they were greeted at the entrance by an energetic young girl dressed as an employee of the Association. She greeted them with a professional smile and a straight posture. Her gaze carefully studied Idan and his Guild uniform, and although she found it a little familiar, due to the constant changes that Idan made to his image, she couldn’t recognize him.

“Welcome to the Awakened Association!” the girl said.

Immediately after the greeting, she asked a question: “What is the purpose of your visit?”

“Tell me, is Miss Irina here?” asked Idan with a slight smile.

The girl’s expression instantly changed, and her smile became even brighter.

“It looks like Irina is famous here,” — Idan remarked.

“Tell Miss Irina that the Duke of Light Ignis wants to meet her,” Idan said, and when she heard his name, the girl was taken aback.

“Wait a minute,” the girl exclaimed, recovering quickly. She hurried to inform about the visit of a member of the mysterious Kingdom Guild.

Less than a minute later, she returned.

“Follow me, Miss Irina is waiting for you,” she asked.

Idan and Niko’s group, led by the girl, went up to one of the upper floors of the tall building of the Awakened Association.

“This way, Mr. Ignis, Irina is waiting for you inside this room,” the girl said, leading them to a certain room.

“Miss, please help my companions register as Awakened and get their Awakened identity cards,” Idan asked, pointing at Niko and his companions. “They are all natural Awakened Ones and members of our Kingdom Guild.”

“Okay,” the girl agreed.

“Follow me,” she called to Niko and his companions.

Before entering, Idan nodded to them and, using a mental link, warned them to be careful.

They nodded and followed the girl.

Idan knocked lightly, opened the door, and entered a small conference room. There he was met by Irina, who looked completely different from that day at the negotiations. There was another young man next to her.

“Hmm… interesting,” Idan muttered, looking at the girl with long blonde hair and round glasses. “Is this your true form, or is it also a disguise?”

“And you? Is this your true appearance or is it also a disguise?” Irina asked a counter question with a slight grin on her face.

“Of course it’s a disguise,” Idan said confidently. “Only my girlfriend has the right to see what I really look like.”

Then he turned his attention to a young man with long black hair and green eyes, who was standing next to Irina, and activated the “Eye of Identification”.
