Chapter 572: I’m going fishing
“Idan, wait,” Irene said to her brother before he could leave after it was decided to help these men and the roles were assigned.
“I understand that Arslan, Bera, and I will go with them to the specified place. Leo, Felicia and Arabel will do the search, while Yulaya and Hazel will stay here,” she said. “But you still haven’t said what you’re going to do.”
Everyone presents immediately turned their gazes to Idan, agreeing with Irene. Idan did assign the roles, but he did not mention anywhere what role he himself would play in this.
“I’m going fishing,” Idan said with a smile. Everyone except Arabel had a look of bewilderment on their faces, they didn’t understand what he meant.
“You still haven’t given up on this idea?” asked Arabel, the only one who realized Idan’s intentions.
“Since they didn’t come last time, I’ll come to them this time,” he replied.
“Stop talking in riddles, tell me, what are you going to do?” Irene demanded, not liking her brother’s habit.
“He’s going to go to the Association,” Arabel replied instead of Idan.
“You have heard how those men said that the Black Limit PMC has connections with Beings of Light and that almost all of its members have begun to improve with their help. There is a high probability that they are behind the current event,” Idan said.
“While you’re busy with this case, I’ll go and see how these creatures react to all this. If anything, I’ll borrow them for a while to give you more time,” he suggested.
“What if one of them is there?” asked Irene.
“That’s why Bera is coming with you,” Arabel replied without a trace of concern. On the contrary, it was noticeable that she was a little excited about the upcoming event.
“Don’t worry, Sister,” Idan said confidently. “As long as Bera is with you, everything will be fine. If something goes wrong and these mercenaries use the smoke of suppression, the main thing is to take care of yourself.”
He looked at Arslan.
“I’m counting on you, Arslan, to protect my sister.”
“It goes without saying,” Arslan replied with confidence.
Idan looked around at the others.
“I also advise the rest to be careful. It may be much more dangerous and complicated than we think.”
Everyone nodded.
After leaving the room, they met Roy and four other men.
“We agree to help,” Idan replied. “Since there is still some time before the appointed time, I want you to answer our questions.”
“Okay, we’re ready to answer your questions,” Roy said, and the other men relaxed slightly after hearing Idan’s agreement.
After a short interrogation that followed, the men, accompanied by Irene, Arslan, and Bera, who took the form of the Duchess of Darkness, Elsa, left the Guild branch building.
Meanwhile, Leo, Felicia, and Arabel slipped away unnoticed and also began their part of the task.

Accompanied by a group of Nico, Idan, in the form of Ignis, left the branch building of his Guild and boarded an SUV waiting at the entrance.
“Where are we going, sir?” asked Nico, taking the driver’s seat.
“To the Awakened Association,” Idan replied with unruffled calm.
The members of Nico’s group exchanged surprised glances.
“So late?” — Nico asked in surprise, glancing at his watch, which showed the dead of night.
Idan did not answer this question, instead he turned to his companions.:
“You must not have registered as Awakened yet?”
Nico and everyone else nodded in agreement.
“Well, I have personal matters there, and you can register while I’m busy,” he said with a smile.
“Okay,” everyone agreed, and then the SUV pulled away, heading towards the Awakened Association.

By the time Idan got to the Association, the other two groups had already started their assignments.
Irene, Arslan, and Bera, along with the men, went to one of their secret hideouts to get the necessary equipment and prepare for the upcoming meeting.
The shelter was located in one of the old garages among the old houses, or rather, under it, where a secret room with a lot of military supplies was set up.
Bera stayed outside to keep watch while the men got ready, donning armor and various military gear.
Irene and Arslan followed the men inside, curiously examining the various types of weapons.
“Are these weapons ordinary or enhanced with magic?” asked Irene.
“The ordinary ones,” — Roy replied.
“Most of the weapons in the Black Limit are conventional, with the exception of enhanced ammunition,” Karl added. “Only some, such as our Leader, have more powerful and enhanced designs.”
“Hmm… and, as I understand it, you don’t have any now?” asked Arslan, looking around the rows of weapons, but finding nothing unusual.
“Yes, we don’t have any. The Black Limit strictly controls who uses such weapons and where, and what belonged to the Leader remains at the organization’s base.”
“What about the ammunition? Do you have them?” Arslan asked again.
“Yes, but not much,” Roy replied. And before Arslan could ask another question, he added, “And yes, we also have some special smoke grenades.”
He picked up one of the grenades and nodded to Arslan. He caught it and began to study it carefully. At first glance, it was an ordinary smoke grenade, and it was impossible to distinguish it from the others.
However, judging by the descriptions of Esma and other awakened ones who had experienced the effect of these grenades, Arslan understood that this was something special.
“Do you know who produces them and where?” he asked the men.
“No,” they replied. “We didn’t ask.”
“Hmm… soldiers,” Arslan shook his head, realizing that these people were military to the core. They followed orders without asking unnecessary questions, and used what they were given.
The men were not offended by Arslan’s words, on the contrary, they were completely calm.
When the men gathered everything they needed and were about to leave, Irene stopped them.
“What about the rest of the stuff?” she asked, pointing to the weapons and items they hadn’t brought with them.
“We don’t need them,” Roy replied.
“Then do you mind if we pick them up?” Arslan asked with a smile, and the men exchanged glances. They didn’t have magic bags to take everything, unlike Irene and Arslan, who had such things with them.
“Take it,” Roy said, adding: “We’re unlikely to come back here in the future.”
“Then wait a bit,” Irene said, and she and Arslan began to put everything that was left in their magic bags. Although they had never used such a weapon before, they did not rule out the possibility of finding a way to strengthen and use it in the future.
