Chapter 568: All good things tend to come to an end

Idan gently hugged Arabel with his left arm, scooped up the ice cream with a spoon and brought it to her lips. She looked at him with slight apprehension, but after making sure that he wasn’t going to take away the dessert, she opened her mouth and ate the ice cream.

The delicate cold taste and exotic fillings, which the couple had not yet tasted, made this dessert truly delicious. Arabel scooped up some more ice cream and started feeding Idan, and he, in turn, treated Arabel.

From time to time, they teased each other by taking ice cream or deliberately dipping their noses and cheeks into it, so that they could remove traces of sweetness with a light kiss.

During this magical moment, a gentle romantic melody sounded.

However, as is often the case, all good things tend to come to an end. And the dessert, unnoticed by the couple, was already eaten.

With a slight clink, the empty dishes disappeared, replaced by two glasses with a variety of drinks decorated with ice cubes and straws.

“Which one will you choose?” — Arabel asked, looking at the drinks with interest.

“Any one,” Idan replied, taking the one closest to him. Arabel chose the remaining drink.

After taking a sip through a straw, they looked at each other and held out their glasses so that each could appreciate the taste of the other drink.

“Hmm… I like yours better,” Arabel whispered.

“Then drink this one, and I’ll drink yours,” — Idan said.

However, instead of handing over his drink, he simply held the glass in front of Arabelle, allowing her to enjoy it through a straw. Arabel, in turn, held her glass in front of Idan, and they enjoyed the moment without looking up from each other, sipping their drinks.

Enjoying each other’s company, Idan and Arabel noticed how the distant stars shone in the sky. Soon, a new light show began, similar to the one they saw at the beginning.

However, this time it was much bigger and brighter. At the very end, the show ended with a grandiose fireworks display, and the particles of light fell like snow and faded before reaching the ground.

The whole sight was truly mesmerizing.

Arabel couldn’t hide her delight. She looked at Idan and, giving him a kiss, said,

“Thank you, Dan, for this unforgettable evening.”

Arabel hadn’t forgotten that Idan had chosen this candlelit dinner as his reward for winning their bet. She also remembered that she had to serve him as a maid for the whole day, transformed into an Ice Valkyrie.

But it was planned for another day.

They both knew that the evening was coming to an end, and Arabel, trying to prolong the pleasure, offered to dance again. Idan, no longer a novice at this, gladly agreed.

The music stopped again and started playing at the right moment. Idan and Arabel, just like the first time, completely immersed themselves in the world of dance, surrendering to their feelings and movements.

The light waves that appeared with each step, combined with the rhythm of new music, turned what was happening into a real work of art and magic.

They were so engrossed in dancing that they did not notice how two figures standing nearby were watching them.

When the music stopped, Idan and Arabel froze, looking into each other’s eyes, and then their lips met in a gentle kiss.

After that, they pulled away, but they couldn’t take their eyes off each other. They stood there for a while, lost in their feelings, until they heard the applause that brought them out of this state.

Turning around at the sound of the applause, they saw two figures approaching them.

One of them was a young man with short black hair and blue eyes, with a slight smile on his face. He was wearing a chef’s uniform.

The second figure is a young, beautiful and slender woman with blonde hair tied up in a bun and slightly cold eyes. She was also wearing a chef’s uniform.

A young man with a big smile on his face applauded, expressing his admiration.

“It was a wonderful dance,” he exclaimed. “You two are so perfect for each other.”

When Idan and Arabel found out who this man was, they relaxed and accepted his praise with a sincere smile.

“You’ve probably already guessed who I am?” he asked, and they both nodded in response.

“Okay,” the guy nodded with satisfaction and, pointing to the girl next to him, said: “Let me introduce you to my one and only beloved wife.”

The woman’s cold gaze wavered at such praise, and her face blushed.

“Ha ha ha,” the guy laughed. “She’s usually very cold, but when we’re alone, she becomes the exact opposite: hot and so passionate.”

“Ouch!” the guy exclaimed when the woman, whose face turned red like a ripe tomato, punched the guy in the side, unable to withstand his flattery. But she had a smile on her face the whole time.

“I hope you enjoyed this evening and the dishes we have prepared for you?” the young man asked with a smile.

“Yes, we liked everything very much,” Arabel replied instantly, and Idan nodded in agreement with her.

“We are very happy to hear that,” said the young man.

“As it is, before the evening ends, we decided to show up and meet with you,” he confessed. “Due to our busy schedule, we were unable to join the others.”

With these words, he raised his hand, and a small object appeared on it, resembling a flower seed, but red in color and slightly pulsating with sparks.

“This is my gift in honor of our meeting, young man,” he said, handing it to Idan. “I’m not going to explain what it is, because I’m sure you’ll find out for yourself and find a use for it.”

After these words, his wife came up to Arabel and also handed her something similar to a seed, but blue in color.

“Take it,” she said, noticing Arabel’s puzzled look.

When Idan and Arabel picked up these seeds, they were seized by an irresistible attraction.

Surprised, they looked at the seeds, thinking that it was their bloodlines—the Ice Valkyrie and the Alpha of Fire—that reacted to them. However, after realizing what they were holding in their hands, Idan and Arabel quickly dismissed the thought.

It wasn’t their bloodlines that reached out to these seeds, but their Spirit Forms.
