Chapter 2135: What? It is a genuine question, okay?

‘Where else?

He is cultivating, as always.’

Faustina answered with a flat, bored tone. It was clear that she was already used to this sight of Azriel cultivating, too used in fact.

‘I need to talk to him.’

Nux requested.

‘Is everything alright?’

Faustina questioned; her concern was clear.

‘Ah yes, I just needed his help with something.’

Nux answered calmly. He knew Faustina wanted to ask many questions but was holding herself back, and he appreciated it.

His mother was indeed the best.

‘Mm, I will tell him to call you.’

Faustina nodded, her words, however, made Nux frown.

‘Call? Mother, we cannot do that.’

He spoke with a slightly confused look on his face; after all, Faustina should already know about it.

His Father-in-law was the Universe’s Child, the Universe constantly kept an eye on him. He couldn’t directly get in contact with him or else the Universe might find out about the connection between its Child and the Anomaly.

This was also the reason that every time they talked, Faustina or other Progenitors became the mediator.

Did his mother forget about this?

It was difficult to believe; after all, at Faustina’s level, forgetting something was… difficult. Their minds even remembered the smallest details, let alone something as important as this.

‘Ah, we now can.’

Soon however, Nux heard Faustina’s voice. His frown deepened, but before he could even ask anything else,

Bzzz

His Call Artifact buzzed, instantly freezing him.

It was Azriel.

Nux slowly stared at Aeliana, who seemed to have the same questions in her mind as him, but in the end, she trusted her father and nodded at Nux.

Nux accepted the call and a screen showing Azriel’s face appeared in front of him.

[What is it?]

Azriel questioned.

His tone had the same annoyance he usually had. After all, he was talking to the bastard who took away his daughter. Never in his life would he actually like the guy even if he had already accepted him as his son-in-law.

“F-Father-in-law.”

Nux greeted, a little taken aback.

It wasn’t just him; the rest of the women around him were taken aback by the sudden call as well, especially Sharnoth.

This was her first time seeing Azriel, and she felt a strangely overwhelming sensation inside her.

The Fifth Infinity…

A being who could be called her Master Zylarith’s successor.

What kind of being was he?

Was he… as strong as Zylarith was when he was at his strongest?

Also, Nux said he was no longer the Fifth Infinity and was chosen by the Universe itself. What did that mean?

All these questions appeared in her head.

She also couldn’t help but notice how nervous Nux seemed when he was talking to this man. This was probably the first time she had seen him act in such a manner.

Was it because he was talking to his Father-in-law and did it out of respect?

Or was it… because of the man he was talking to?

While she was thinking all this, Azriel’s eyes fell on her, making her flinch and then—

[Another one?]

He spoke directly.

“I-It is not certain yet…”

Nux answered, making the rest of his wives roll their eyes.

Azriel too, stared at the man with a deadpan look on his face. He then glanced at Shadow and—

[And why does she look like that?]

“Do you like how I look now?”

Shadow turned around in a playful manner; her words made the other women flinch.

“Come on, people, why are you all so nervous? He is inside an entirely different Universe. We don’t even know how far he actually is.

What could he possibly do from that far?”

The woman shook her head, and the rest of the women didn’t dare to say anything.

Shadow was probably the only one who could act like this in front of Azriel. Well, the fact that she hadn’t actually met him face to face must have had something to do with it as well.

Azriel ignored the woman and stared at Nux.

“Things happened.”

Nux answered ambiguously; he knew Azriel wasn’t interested in details. He could see it on the man’s face.

And just as he thought,

“Alright.”

Azriel just nodded and then—

[You better tell everything in detail to your mother later. She has been fidgeting around because of all her worries; I am having a hard time cultivating.]

[You—shut your mout—]

Hearing those words, Faustina did try to jump at Azriel, wanting to silence him, but the man waved his hand and appeared somewhere else, dodging the advance of a Primordial without any effort whatsoever—something that Nux didn’t fail to notice.

“Father-in-law…

How strong are you now?”

He questioned in a low voice.

[Transcendent.]

Azriel answered, and the first to react to those words was—

“Already!?”

Vyriana.

Azriel turned towards her and—

[Yes, I am once again stronger than you, Dragon.]

“We do not know that for certain.”

Vyriana’s answer was instantaneous.

But—

[I do.]

Azriel replied with absolute certainty, certainty that silenced every single person present here.

Even Vyriana couldn’t say anything; after all, deep down, she knew it as well. Against a being who was once hailed as the strongest in all the Universe, she wouldn’t stand a chance, even if they were on the same level.

“Father, should you be talking to us so openly?”

Suddenly, Aeliana questioned.

She didn’t care much about her Father’s strength; she knew her Father would soon be at the level he was before and get even stronger from there.

What worried her more was him being targeted by the Universe. After all, because of their connection, the Universe could now track him no matter where he went. If it sensed that he was actually in cahoots with its enemies…

It wouldn’t end well.

[I am inside my Domain, Lia.

You don’t have to worry, I am perfectly fine.]

Azriel answered with a gentle smile.

“Tsk, he is so different when he talks to her.”

Shadow complained.

“It is almost as if we are talking to two different people.”

Then suddenly, as if she thought of something, her eyes shimmered, and she glanced at Azriel,

“Lord Azriel, are you sure you don’t have another personality inside you as well?

We have been seeing a rise in such cases these days.”

She spoke and, in an instant, the entire area turned silent.

Even Nux was staring at his wife, speechless.

And Shadow—

“What?

It is a genuine question, okay?

Swear on Nux’s life that you guys don’t feel the same!”
