Capítulo 1412: Giving Hints

“Let me continue then.” The emperor pointed at Andreas. “Do you have any collaborations with the Death Society?”

“I do. I have been feeding them inside information.”

The emperor had expected this answer, but it was truly annoying to hear it directly. He asked, “Have you assisted them during the purge or the retaliation of the purge?”

“I assisted them by giving them information about our movements.”

“This motherfucker.” One elder clenched his hands, wanting to butcher this dead soul, only to be stopped by the other elder. “Let me go. This bastard. He hasn’t tasted enough pain! I’m going to kill him again and again even after he dies!”

“Stop it.”

“How can you be so calm? He is a traitor who has killed our people!”

Nathan actually chose to stop him so that the questioning could continue. “You don’t have to worry about that. This is a judgment for the dead. What do you think will happen after death, especially for a bad guy?”

The elder looked at Nathan, but the slight evil grin on his face was showing that Andreas would definitely pay the price. So, he gradually calmed down.

The emperor, on the other hand, continued like a detective. “Do you know any weaknesses the Death Society members have?”

“I don’t. I have never made any contact with the current members of the Death Society.”

“Tsk.” The emperor clicked his tongue. “In that case, what was your involvement in the dynasty over the past few years after the retaliation?”

“I’m giving them information about politics and the economy.”

“Did they use that information?”

“I don’t know.”

The emperor squinted his eyes. “This is annoying. It looks like his only job is to give them information, nothing else. In that case, why did you erase your contact with the empress?”

“Because I wanted only the right guardian to have the only contact with her.”

“Why?”

“Johnson suspects the right guardian and me. So, I wanted to shift the attention to him as a potential accomplice. Then, use the information that only the empress had to inform the Death Society so that they could use that information to strike the dynasty.

“That way, you will find the empress to be the mole and the right guardian will be branded as an accomplice.

“I will be able to become the sole guardian and control the dynasty from within.”

Even the two elders and Johnson couldn’t help but drop their jaws. It was a confession they never thought they would hear.

“You bastard. How dare you frame my wife?!” The emperor raised his voice.

“It’s just a human woman.”

“Human woman, you say?” The emperor clenched his hands into fists.

Nathan hurriedly stopped him. “Let’s calm down for a moment, shall we?”

“How can I be calm when he dares to touch my wife?” The emperor gritted his teeth.

Nathan smiled wryly. It wasn’t like he couldn’t understand him, but they had a more important thing to ask. “What do you think about the Death Society?”

“They are the source of hope in this world.”

“What do you think about humans?”

“Humans are nothing but animals that are ready to be slaughtered. It’s foolish to go against the black cell. Once the true gods descend, there is nothing the humans can do except accept their fate. The world will soon be destroyed sooner or later. Only by accepting the black cell can one survive.”

“…” Nathan’s expression turned grim. He remembered the vision he got from the original Nathan.

The true gods he mentioned must be the outer gods, specifically Yog-Sothoth. It looked like the black cell would send the outer gods in one way or another, but the black cell needed some time to accomplish it.

That was why they still had time to prepare. Before that happened, Nathan hoped he could bring the fight to them. This way, this world would remain safe.

The emperor didn’t expect that there was such a bold claim. “True gods?”

“He must mean outer gods.” Nathan shrugged. “They are beings even stronger than the divine beings recorded in your history. I’m sure that you are aware of one such being. The one governing Space and Time, Yog-Sothoth. He is the alien who connected their world to ours.”

“!!!” The emperor was shaken by the information. “You… How do you know all that?”

“I just want to have a happy life. They’re going to destroy it, so I have to stop them.”

“That doesn’t answer my question.”

“But it gives you my motive.”

“…” The emperor was speechless. This was the first time someone had been so thick-skinned in front of him. But this motive showed Nathan had no interest in dynasty or maybe other influences as long as he could accomplish his goal.

“However, there is something that I can share about the black cell.” Nathan raised one finger. “The black cell is the one controlling the alien. And to control the outer gods, the black cell needs a very long time to corrode their minds.

“The outer gods shouldn’t have been fully controlled yet, which is why the black cell hasn’t sent that kind of being to our world just yet.”

The emperor closed his eyes, processing the information. “So, this Godfather…”

“He might be the biggest connection between the black cell and this world. If we kill him, the black cell will lose that connection.”

“But won’t the black cell notice it as well?”

“Even if we don’t kill him, do you think the black cell won’t notice?”

“That’s true.” The emperor understood the necessity of destroying the Death Society. At the same time, he realized why Nathan had grown this far even though he was still so young.

Nathan’s aim was those outer gods or even the black cell itself. If he grew at the same speed as them, he wouldn’t be able to catch up.

‘It looks like this man has many more secrets than I could think of. However, I know that this man is not our enemy. As for bringing him into the dynasty, I can think about it later. We have to solve the immediate problem first,’ thought the emperor. He paused for a moment before waving his hand. “Let’s continue with the interrogation first.”
