Capítulo 1397: Crushing the Enemies

Nathan couldn’t help but remember the time he fought the first cult. At that time, the battle was not hard, but it wasn’t easy either.

The other party had a crystal armor summoner, and his strength was quite decent. His underlings also restrained several of Nathan’s familiars.

However, this fight was rather different. Nathan’s strength had grown so much that he was actually overpowering the enemy.

Even Melissa couldn’t believe what she was seeing. She thought, ‘I have seen plenty of world class summoners, so this strength is definitely at that level.

‘However, I’ve heard that Nathan only has two familiars at this level as well as himself. This is still not enough to be considered a world class summoner.

‘Yet, after seeing the other familiars, their strength is not normal. Even though I can only sense it faintly, I know that their strength is not halfway to that point.

‘Surprisingly, the power they display is actually reaching that level. Even if they can’t fight against world class familiars, they will definitely not lose either.

‘However, the most terrifying one is that wolf. His strength is a bit too powerful for a familiar that has just crossed the threshold.

‘Is this… the true power of divine beings? It’s no wonder people regard you highly when you have a divine being as your familiar. This kind of strength is definitely not normal.

‘On the other hand, all Nathan’s familiars are divine beasts. It’s no wonder that he is so abnormal. Although I don’t know how he is able to summon all these divine beings, I know one thing. This is the source of Nathan’s strength.

‘Still, I might have gotten used to it, but watching this scene is like watching the world ending. All of them are divine beasts. If it’s just one or two, people will think they are shape-shifting familiars, but when they see that dragon, crow, or even the bird that disappeared earlier…’

Melissa could only cover her eyes. She could imagine how terrifying it was for other people.

However, Melissa might have underestimated their power a bit.

While his familiars were indeed powerful, they hadn’t even started for real. Anubis suddenly turned into his humanoid form, becoming so massive that everyone could see him.

Then, Anubis raised his hand as if he were trying to grasp something. A huge scale suddenly appeared in his hand as Anubis planted it on the ground.

In that instant, the world turned golden as the scale emitted a brilliant golden light that spread in all directions.

“!!!” All of a sudden, the enemies realized that their strength had been interfered with by something.

“What is this?”

“My strength is getting suppressed?”

“What’s going on?”

“It must be that golden light. We have to take care of the golden light.”

The people panicked, trying to save themselves. They rushed to Anubis to free themselves from this suppression.

Anubis had expected the attackers to reach him. If they didn’t have the power of rules, they would have a hard time resisting this power after all.

Among all of them, the two leaders were probably the only ones who could resist this power, but they had to spend a considerable amount of ena continuously as Anubis continued using his divinity to suppress their power.

As for those who wanted to attack him, Nathan wouldn’t allow them to hurt Anubis.

Nathan teleported to Anubis and punched forward.

Spatial Collapse.

Nathan’s power was truly overwhelming. All the summoners combined their power to barely resist Nathan’s simple attack.

“We can still do it.”

“It’s true. That familiar must be the culprit. As long as we can distract him, we will be freed from this suppression. We will then take down the summoner!”

Unfortunately for them, this Spatial Collapse was never intended to attack them in the first place. It was meant to stop them.

Now that they had halted their steps, Xolotl could finally make his move.

“Hmph.” Xolotl simply waved his hand down as a bolt of lightning suddenly struck down from a clear sky.

“Aaahhhh!”

“Arggh!”

The people were screaming as their bodies were tormented by the death lightning. Their bodies were burned before vanishing; even the ashes weren’t spared.

The people were simply dumbfounded. Even the leaders couldn’t believe the situation they were in.

They usually were the ones tormenting people, but today, they were as weak as chickens waiting to be slaughtered.

‘Who the hell is attacking us?’

‘We haven’t provoked anyone, right? All the people we’ve brought aren’t important, right?’

They were utterly speechless. They never thought someone so strong would be coming for them.

‘We have been using our all just to block some attacks, but all these familiars… They’re not even humanoid.’

‘How can one be so strong? A crystal fusion stage summoner? This is the first time I’ve seen a crystal fusion stage summoner who is so perverted.’

If Melissa were to know their thoughts, she could probably sympathize with them. But it was just for a moment because Nathan was indeed like a freak.

However, she would still believe this was the right time.

Melissa couldn’t help but recall what had happened at the Bloody Banquet. She could still see people getting slaughtered by the Death Society. It was brutal, and they looked like they were enjoying it.

Although these people were not the Death Society, they were cults following the members of the Death Society. And this one was particularly wicked because they killed people brutally.

‘An eye for an eye…’ Melissa squinted her eyes. ‘All of you should know how lucky you are that we don’t like to play around with our opponents or you would have been wishing you were dead.

‘Kill them. Kill them. Kill them. They deserve to die.’ Melissa clenched her hands into fists. Although she didn’t participate in the battle directly, her traps were still activated here and there as people were trying to escape.

Melissa couldn’t help but close her eyes. ‘Are you people from the Death Society really enjoying this kind of sight?’

Melissa shook her head helplessly. She had heard about what Nathan had found in the cult he’d fought before, so she wondered if it was the same here.
