Capítulo 1381: Her Excellency
“So, this is the printing machine.” Luna raised her head.
The printing machine was enormous. The most noticeable thing was the cylinder in the middle. There were some sockets attached to the cylinder, which looked like the place to insert the characters.
The master craftsman that Neyeid recruited, Gran, nodded proudly. “This is indeed the machine that I have made. If it’s completed, it can make one copy in less than thirty minutes.”
Luna understood everything. “If we can decrease the size of the characters, we will be able to shorten the time. After all, this one cylinder might be able to print up to ten pages at once.”
“…” Gran fell silent. “If it’s that easy, I won’t be troubled.”
“In fact, you will be able to do it by yourself if given enough time, but we simply don’t have enough time. That’s why we will have to approach it in a different way.” Luna suddenly summoned her golems.
“!!!” Gran stepped back in shock. He thought Luna wanted to hurt him, but Luna simply stared at him. “I will borrow your place for a bit.”
Without Gran even agreeing, Luna’s golems had started moving to the furnace.
“What are you—?” Gran was dumbfounded, but because the other party was a summoner, he couldn’t really say anything. The craftsmen were looked down upon on this continent. They received favorable treatment from Nathan, but that didn’t mean their status changed.
So, offending a summoner wouldn’t be a good thing for them.
But what shocked him the most were the golems. The golems created a small metal box first. The hands of the golems turned into needles, which allowed them to create a single character at a size even smaller than a feather pen.
Surprisingly, it took her only ten minutes to accomplish such a thing.
“This is…” Gran gasped.
Luna received the character from her golem and showed it to Gran. “This should be enough. If you create a few thousand for each character, it should be enough to print multiple books at once.
“At this size, the book might even be thinner. I have no doubt that someone like you can achieve something like this if there’s enough time, so you don’t have to feel down about it.
“Anyway, with this, we just have to adjust the ink plate and the size of the sockets. However, I should focus on creating these characters since this is something that only I can do at the moment.
“To complete this project faster, I have to ask you to deal with the adjustments.”
Gran was speechless. Neyeid, who had been watching from the sidelines, was astonished. He thought the girl Nathan found only had strength as her good point, but that didn’t seem to be the case.
Nathan explained, “Let me introduce you. This is Luna Eleren. I don’t know if you have heard about her or not.”
“Luna Eleren…” Gran’s face turned pale. He dropped to his butt before struggling to get onto his knees. “I am sorry that I didn’t recognize your excellency.”
Nathan and Neyeid opened their mouths wide. The reaction was definitely what they had expected.
“You know her?” Neyeid couldn’t suppress his curiosity.
“Yes.” Gran nodded furiously. “In fact, if you are a craftsman but don’t know her, you are considered a disgrace.”
“You are that famous?” Nathan was dumbfounded.
“Now that I think about it…” Neyeid seemed to have realized something. “Is it because of that city?”
Gran acknowledged it. “Yes. Miss Luna Eleren is a godlike figure in the community. Her Excellency could make almost anything. Her most famous achievement was creating a city in three days.
“At that time, she dispatched her golems and worked for three days and three nights to create a city that could host over 2,000 people.”
“It was just a temporary city. I built it because they needed speed, so all the buildings ended up looking similar.” Luna humbly denied her achievement, believing that it wasn’t as good as people claimed.
“You don’t know about this?” Nathan’s gaze shifted to Neyeid.
“Ahahaha.” Neyeid scratched his cheek. “I was a bit too fixated on the project you asked me to do, so I only tried to find the trace, not her exact identity…”
Neyeid felt a bit embarrassed. The beggar sect was simply too interesting, but it was limited by finding the people, not the rumors or information about them. In the end, it hadn’t reached that point yet.
“Well, does my reputation matter?” Luna pointed at herself, confused about why they would make such a big deal.
“No, no. Since Your Excellency has commanded me to do so, I shall accomplish it to the best of my ability.” Gran was somehow getting more excited than the first time he joined. Being able to work with the godlike figure in his field was definitely an honor that he could brag about for his entire life.
Luna turned to Nathan. “In that case, why don’t we discuss the set of characters and symbols, Husband?”
Gran dropped his jaw. How could this boy actually charm the godlike figure in his head?
Neyeid, on the other hand, smiled mischievously, thinking, ‘Oh boy. Nathan is Nathan, alright? To think he moves so fast and gets the local specialty.’
“Well, let’s talk about it if you are done discussing it with Gran.” Nathan had no choice but to accept her invitation. She wanted the characters and symbols that Gratzel had, so it was better to do it right away.
“I’m done here, right?” Luna turned her head to Gran.
Gran furiously nodded. “Yes.”
“I see. In that case, let’s go.” Nathan had no reason to reject her.
Surprisingly, Luna stopped and retracted her request. “Never mind. You have to hear about the report from that person first, right? I will look around for a bit. I will ask her to show me around.”
“Is that so? Alright then.” Nathan was confused, but it might be better this way. He ended up asking Neyeid to guide him to the office.
Vivian suddenly felt someone nudging her clothes, who turned out to be Luna.
Luna hesitated for a moment, but she ultimately asked, “Let’s talk, shall we?”
