Capítulo 1378: Luna’s Pace
The emperor was not the only one having a headache. This time, even Nathan faced such a thing for a different reason.
Nathan could only look down and sit timidly as he was being glared at by Bella. Bella was usually cheerful or playful, but this was the first time she’d looked this angry.
Evelyn and Vivian were staring at him from behind. Their expressions turned cold after hearing everything that had happened to him.
Nathan had told them everything, starting from the encounter with Frequency to the matter in the Endless Prison.
For this one, Nathan had no excuses. He had truly been a bit too reckless. For someone who always considered a lot of possibilities, it was rare for Nathan to find a situation where the situation had gone beyond his prediction, not just once, but twice.
Then again, no one would be able to predict that Frequency or an alpha class alien.
With one wrong move, he would have died. So, Nathan could only apologize.
“Do you understand what ‘reckless’ means?” Bella asked while slamming her hands onto the table.
Nathan didn’t say anything.
Bella clicked her tongue and said, “Have you thought about what will happen if you die, Nathan? Ah, this is frustrating!”
“I’m sorry.” Nathan closed his eyes. He just apologized. The reason it was frustrating was that she couldn’t blame everything on him. Even if she were there, she wouldn’t expect Frequency to be there or that this Endless Prison would hide an alpha class alien.
That was why she was frustrated. She wanted to get angry, but the person himself shouldn’t be blamed.
“I don’t know what to say anymore.” Bella let out a long sigh. “Well, just make sure you reflect on this. Don’t be too reckless anymore. You can always teleport away instead of facing the challenge, right?”
“Yeah.”
In the end, Bella couldn’t say anything more. So, she tried to point out another problem by first glancing to the right.
Luna had sat down quietly the whole time. She just sipped her tea occasionally, showing no intention of interrupting them in this matter.
“So… who are you?” Bella asked.
“My name is Luna Eleren. I guess there’s no need for a deep introduction because all of you must have felt me. Cthulhu must have told you a few things,” answered Luna.
Evelyn added, “Her strength is stronger than mine. I don’t know if that will last forever though.”
Luna shook her head. “Allow me to correct you there. It doesn’t matter whether my strength is stronger or weaker. I don’t really compare myself with others. As long as my husband accepts me, nothing really matters. Besides, won’t it be better to have a good relationship as sisters?”
“That’s…” Evelyn had seen a bit of Luna. For some reason, she felt a bit familiar with Luna. It felt like they were the same type of person.
“Don’t agree with her yet. We don’t even know what leads up to this point…” Bella sighed, stopping Evelyn from getting convinced.
Luna nodded in agreement and started telling the story she had told Nathan.
“…I swore that day that I would marry the person chosen by Cthulhu if it were a man, or we would become sisters if it were a woman. And if you are able to solve the Death Society and save my brother, I’ll dedicate my life to that person,” she ended her explanation.
Once they heard the story, they felt a bit complicated. On the one hand, the promise she had in her heart was rather extreme. On the other hand, she didn’t seem to be a bad person.
“By the way, for the sisters, I made this with my husband during the trip.” Luna took out the space equipment she had made with Nathan. “Please accept it. They are a new version of whatever you have. And it has been optimized with the time element. This ring alone will be the same size as the previous bracelet.”
They all looked dumbfounded and turned to Nathan, demanding an explanation.
“Actually, she has the guidance of the magic goddess Rakusha. A goddess from a different world than Fenrir and the others.
“Her specialty is magic circles, so she is able to improve the magic circles. To put it simply, she is everything wrong with this continent.
“With the help of her golems, she can basically do everything, including smithing. And these are the things that we have made on the way. And thanks to her, the improvement in the time element is also possible.”
Luna nodded. “Well, we are also working on magic weapons. I have optimized a few things, which might allow a situation where normal people can truly fight against aliens. And from what I have heard about the printing machine, it is a good thing, and I think I can make one for you.”
“…” They were a bit speechless. It felt like Luna was indeed able to make everything. All of them had their own specialty that they believed the others couldn’t replicate, but they realized that their position could be replaced by Luna.
Luna possessed a talent that could rival Evelyn and Selena. Her support ability might not be something like Synchronization, but it was more effective than Serafina’s. Her hand-to-hand combat when using her ‘Marionette’ ability might go beyond Alavenya.
Her magic circle was more powerful than Melissa’s or Flora’s. She had been Nathan’s bodyguard compared to Noelle. Her inventions might even surpass Vivian’s, and with all those golems, taking care of Nathan personally was something she could do better than Bella.
More importantly, her strength was higher than everyone else’s.
It looked like their true rival was actually Luna.
“It’s good that you are able to do anything.” Bella nodded. “However, I have to tell you one thing.”
“What is it?”
“We are taking orders from him.” Bella pointed at Nathan. “Sometimes, his decision is questionable, but from experience, his plans are usually the best. So, even if he’s the youngest among us, you will have to listen to him.”
“Oh. You don’t have to worry about such a small thing. I understand one thing from the trip. He might be a bit reckless, but he is capable. Besides, isn’t that what makes him a good patriarch?”
Bella opened her mouth, but she couldn’t really refute her words. Nathan was just smiling inwardly as Luna once again swept everyone to her pace.
