Capítulo 1372: Price
“Ha… Ha…” Regina panted a few times, staring at the alien in horror. She definitely knew that she was basically useless if not for others.
If she had to face this alien alone, she would probably die in a few minutes. She could somehow fight Frequency, but not this alien.
She wondered how many people could actually defeat this alien.
The key to killing this guy must be the power of rule they were talking about. Although she didn’t fully understand it, she knew that this power of rule was something that they required to become gods.
She couldn’t believe that a god could be born through martial prowess, but from the way they talked, the method might actually be the norm. They just never heard about it.
At the same time, Luna’s power was truly beyond what she imagined. She might be in the top ten strongest summoners in the empire, but after seeing this power with her own eyes, she believed she could be in the top three, if not higher.
In addition, she used her power cleverly. Just like the golem suddenly transformed into armor to protect her, she used her familiar’s crystal form without using it directly.
Even if she couldn’t get Nathan, just coming to this place alone had given her a lot of things: the information about the power of rule, Nathan’s space bracelet, and even finding a unique individual who could use two crystal fusions at the same time.
Everything was unimaginable to the point where she wanted to shout, ‘What’s wrong with this group?’
Nathan, Evelyn, and Luna had their own unique abilities that she never thought were possible before.
And lastly, she found an existence that was described in the legend, an alpha class alien.
It looked like they had to think about their next plan. The number of elite class aliens had increased ever since the volcanic eruption, so it wouldn’t be weird for alpha class aliens to appear here and there sooner or later.
If they were unprepared, the empire would definitely find itself facing unimaginable losses.
Still, she forgot something, which Luna wouldn’t forget.
As soon as she confirmed the death of the alien, Luna turned her gaze to the right and rushed to Nathan.
Nathan was gritting his teeth; his eyes couldn’t focus.
“Are you alright?” Luna was shaken.
Evelyn appeared next to them not long after. She held her arm while enduring the pain in her body.
Anubis had already been on his side since he got injured, so the first aid had been administered.
Nathan couldn’t speak yet, but his eyes were gradually regaining their focus.
Still, Anubis didn’t say anything because he couldn’t be sure of his current condition.
Anubis remained quiet for two minutes as Regina finally came over after regaining her composure.
“He’s going to be fine. His insides were a mess, but it should be fine now.” Anubis’ face was quite pale.
Xolotl and Fenrir didn’t say anything, but they were aware that Anubis was spending a massive amount of divinity to heal him. If not for him, there was no telling whether Nathan would survive or not.
Xolotl couldn’t help but gnash his teeth. He was a true god, a being that was above everyone else. Yet, he couldn’t even protect a single person.
Even though he was in favor of fighting against the aliens in the past, he was never a part of the battle, so he didn’t know much about the alien’s power. If only he hadn’t been sacrificed, he could have known this kind of power and been wary of it.
Anubis let out a sigh of relief after a few more minutes as he said, “I have regenerated your organs and repaired the rest. You should sleep for a bit to replenish your life force, Summoner. Everything is going to be fine now.”
Nathan’s eyes moved slightly to Anubis as if he was expressing his gratitude before he closed his eyes.
Anubis’s gaze moved to the eight guns on his side. “Orochi. You should turn back as well. I’m going to start healing everyone else.”
When Orochi returned to his original form, he immediately collapsed to the ground. His scales were broken and blood was pouring out of his body.
If he hadn’t helped Nathan receive that power, Nathan would have died.
In the end, Nathan was still a crystal armor stage summoner.
Even with the help of the divine beasts, he was nowhere near the level of Frequency or this alien.
“Are you alright?” Fenrir asked. Even though he argued with him a lot, Fenrir knew that Anubis was the one protecting this team.
Anubis simply scoffed. “Who do you think you are to dare worry about me? Know your place, dog—I mean, wolf with anger issues!”
He couldn’t really call Fenrir a dog anymore because Xolotl was a dog. Meanwhile, Fenrir just rolled his eyes without rebuking him this time. He accepted it because he’d helped Nathan.
Instead, he said, “While the alpha class alien has been dealt with, there are still aliens all around this place. It’s better to take them down first and head into the Endless Prison to get some rest.”
Evelyn nodded. Her body had been fixed by Anubis, so she could continue fighting just fine. After another look at Nathan, she just teleported to kill more aliens.
“I will bring him inside first.” Anubis summoned his bandages and wrapped Nathan with them, using them to carry him. His steps were weak because he had used a bit too much of his divinity, but it was still enough to help Orochi and the rest. “Tell everyone that they can’t ask me to heal them after this point on.”
“I will activate the portal for you.” Fenrir had to escort them, making sure they were safe. Xolotl, on the other hand, turned around.
He had been frustrated by his mistake earlier, so he planned to vent that frustration on the remaining aliens.
“You also come with me, white woman.” Anubis suddenly stretched his bandage to capture Luna.
“…” Luna didn’t say anything. It looked like Anubis had realized that she also had exhausted her power of rule in that fight. The remaining energy could be used to protect Nathan if something happened inside the prison.
On the other hand, Rakusha and the Adamantine Golem returned to their original form to help the others.
Seeing everyone immediately recover and find their new position, Regina also headed to the next target.
