Capítulo 1361: Danger

For the next few days, the group continued onward. The trip had been successful, and with the new agreement, Nathan could get more cores.

Normally, he could take his time to absorb the cores, but the Endless Prison turned out to be much deeper than he originally thought.

According to Regina, they would need two to three weeks to go there, but she might not include the return trip.

After all, with the aliens having been taken down on the first trip, the return trip would have less result, so Nathan might want to simply teleport back to the kingdom.

After all, even with their group, they had spent 8 days on this trip with the end goal still not in sight. Of course, Nathan didn’t complain much because he definitely received a lot of cores on this trip.

If he wanted to, he could absorb all the cores and reach 10 million ena right away. Unfortunately, it was better for them to wait until they reached the Endless Prison, which was known to be unbreakable. If they could enter and make sure the place itself was safe, they would be safe enough to stay for a while.

During that time, Evelyn and the others had settled down in a new place.

Evelyn looked at their new office, finding only Neyeid inside. “Where are the others?”

“Vivian was visiting the library. She had read books from the empire, but this is the dynasty. As for Melissa and Bella, they should be somewhere outside the town. Most likely, they are training.

“Revon and Christopher were monitoring the situation, especially with the mercenary. Sonia was confirming the location of the cults so that once Nathan’s back, we can immediately strike them,” explained Neyeid while examining the documents in his hands.

“I see. How about other projects?” Evelyn asked.

“Everything proceeds smoothly. Right now, my blacksmiths have been working hard on the printing machine. Most likely, it can be finished in three to four months.

“It’s just a rough assumption. Since we don’t have to make the cloud-repelling device anymore, there’s basically nothing much to do. There are some inquiries for more cloud-repelling devices, but they’re mostly for replacement.

“Since everything is still working perfectly, there’s no need to bother with the request for the time being. Besides, it might end up being embezzled by those people.

“However, due to the cloud-repelling devices, the food price has decreased significantly. It is now only 4x times the original price instead of 100x times or even higher. Gradually, the number will decrease further, hopefully to 2x times the original price. Once the disaster passes, the price will return to normal.

“Thanks to the improvement, a lot of high-level summoners have gone to the front line to assist the defense line. As a result, the situation over there is pretty stable. While there is indeed an increase in aliens, it’s manageable.

“As for the empire… Well, it’s chaotic over there, mostly because of Nathan.

“From what I have heard, they are looking for Nathan, Bella and the others, and the second prince’s faction.

“The information about Nathan had been leaked, but they could do nothing about it because he was going to the Endless Prison. Not many dared to go there, but even if they went there, Nathan could easily escape from them. They most likely wouldn’t do anything big to see whether Nathan could return alive or not.

“I haven’t been able to confirm the second matter yet. It looks like they have figured out that there is a clash within the country, which involves crystal fusion stage summoners. I’m assuming that this is the clash between Ellenwood and Bella’s group, which made the situation even more chaotic.

“People were speculating whether Bella’s group had been kidnapped or Ellenwood had fallen. Those three… they should have left the body there instead of disposing of the corpse.

“Either way, the second prince hadn’t been found yet. They were most likely transported to a safe house and hid their identities. But with the emperor being that furious, it wouldn’t be weird if the second prince were to be found sooner or later.”

Evelyn nodded in understanding. “Our concern will be Nathan’s next move. That guy is unpredictable after all.”

“That’s true. But thanks to that, we can feel assured that the enemies can’t figure him out as well.”

“Should we just ask Mae to divine our future again? Maybe we can find a group in the empire with it.”

“I don’t know. I just hope that he is doing well right now.”

“He should be…” Evelyn sighed. “He is surrounded by two women whose strength is on par with mine, no?”

Neyeid smiled wryly. “Are you jealous, Captain?”

“No, it’s better to have Bella and Vivian first to fulfill that role.”

Neyeid’s eyebrows twitched, but he couldn’t really say anything.

That was what she thought, but what Nathan experienced could only be described as terrifying. It might even be scarier than facing Frequency.

Nathan, Regina, and Luna couldn’t help but widen their eyes as a 5-meter-tall alien stood up. It stretched its body, which ended up making contact with the wall, causing the entire place to vibrate.

The alien was a humanoid alien, but it was something that no one had ever seen before. Its body was pale grey. Instead of normal skin they would find on an alien, its skin looked like scales instead.

The body of this alien might not be as big as they expected, but their senses were tingling, warning them about this alien’s existence.

There was no doubt that this alien was actually stronger than any alien they had ever seen.

‘Aren’t all aliens here supposed to have died because of the passing of time?’ Regina looked at her hand. ‘Am I trembling?’

She clenched her hands into fists to stop her trembling as her face turned resolute.

“Don’t tell me… An elite class mutant?” Nathan gritted his teeth. “This kind of pressure coming from the alien… for some reason, it’s as dangerous, if not more dangerous, than Frequency…”

Luna shook her head. “It might not be as strong as Frequency, but it is certainly more troublesome than him. I have seen an elite class mutant in the past, but it is pale in comparison to this one…”

“Don’t tell me…”

Luna nodded. “This alien… it might be an alien beyond the elite class.”

“Alpha class alien?!”
