Capítulo 1359: Success
“Let’s check this, shall we?” Nathan was a bit nervous.
Luna nodded. “You made the tea five hours ago. If the space ring works as intended, the tea should remain hot.”
Nathan took a deep breath before taking out the tea. “Here it comes!”
Luna squinted her eyes as the cup of tea appeared on the table.
Both of them widened their eyes to examine the tea, and it was actually still hot. The temperature hadn’t decreased. They could still see the smoke coming out of the tea as if the hot water had just been poured into the cup.
“It’s hot.” Luna muttered and grabbed the cup before taking a sip.
“Oi, Luna?” Nathan was bewildered by her action.
Luna shook her head. “There doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with the tea. It’s a perfectly normal tea. The space rings work.”
Nathan opened his mouth, but the word stuck in his throat. He just didn’t expect that the one thing he had been dreaming about had been accomplished.
“It works…” Nathan muttered those two words a few times, feeling relieved. “I’m glad it works.”
Luna nodded. “Since it works, it should be fine to make a few more, right? Besides, I’m curious about this magic weapon as well. My golems might be able to use it, so I wonder what kind of transformation it will have later.”
“Yes. But please make a few more. It’s for my group. I’ll introduce you to them later. Besides, bringing these while introducing you to the group will make it much easier.”
Luna had no qualms about the arrangement as long as it could make the introduction smooth. “I understand. I’ll make them for you. It shouldn’t take too long since I have confirmed the method. After that, the magic weapons?”
“I promise.” Nathan smiled, reassuring her.
“Still, the sun should be almost up.” Luna thought for a moment. “How about we exchange our roles a bit? I will sleep during the day. During the night, I will do the night watch while making all these things. This way, you can rest properly.
“It’s just… This arrangement means I won’t be able to protect you during the day. My familiars will stay with you, and I’ll ask them to follow your arrangement, though.”
Nathan looked down, contemplating. On the one hand, Luna sleeping during the day would mean Regina could approach him during that time. Before this, Luna would find one way or another to interrupt them, giving her no chance.
On the other hand, the item could make her feel indebted. Although he was still suspicious of Regina, he might not have to worry too much.
Still, Regina’s opinion of him would only increase after finding out his ability in making such an artifact. But if he played it right, he could gain her cooperation to defeat the Death Society.
After witnessing Frequency’s strength, he knew that this so-called Godfather would be much stronger than Frequency.
One person wouldn’t be enough to take him down. Other members of the Death Society would definitely not allow them to fight their godfather as well, so the help from the dynasty and the empire was necessary.
Nathan nodded his head. “Don’t worry. I will handle this.”
It would be good if Luna made all these things as quickly as possible, not only for her introduction but also for her own strength. With all these new projects, the people would also consider Luna as their friend.
Since Nathan had agreed, there was no need for her to say anything else. For the past few days, she had learned about Nathan’s character by talking to him.
He wasn’t someone who planned to enter a losing battle. If he were confident, he would have some assurance. In the end, it was just a sleep. It wasn’t like she couldn’t go days without sleep.
Nathan could always wake her up if he needed her assistance. And her familiars would be with her.
Now that they had decided on the next arrangement, both of them finally came out of the workshop, finding Regina standing not far from the workshop.
She was leaning against a tree while furrowing her eyebrows. It didn’t seem like she had slept.
“You are already awake?” Nathan frowned. He had told her that the night watch would be theirs.
“No one could really sleep with those clicking sounds from a hammer going all night.” Regina shook her head.
“Ah!” Nathan almost forgot this fact. It was still a workshop. There was no soundproofing either. He was a bit inconsiderate. He turned to Luna. “In that case, move it farther away?”
“I don’t mind.” Luna nodded. Seeing Regina’s state, Luna waved her hand while walking away. “You two can talk. I’m going to prepare breakfast.”
“Yeah.” Nathan waved his hand. On the other hand, Regina was surprised that Luna would be willing to leave them alone. Even if she had to prepare the breakfast, Luna should have no problem staying with them.
Whatever happened during the night, it looked like she could approach Nathan a bit more.
“Sorry for being inconsiderate, Your Highness,” Nathan apologized politely.
Regina closed her eyes and shook her head gracefully. “No. At our level, we can go days without sleep. It is not a big problem.”
Nathan smiled. “I have told you I will present the thing we’ve made, right? This is what we have been working for.”
Nathan took out a space bracelet. Since Luna kept playing around with the rings, saying it was an engagement ring or something, he thought a bracelet would stop the misunderstanding. It wasn’t like he could give her the cube due to the size of the space within.
The bracelet was unpolished and hadn’t been decorated with jewels, so it might look ugly if they used the nobility standard.
However, Regina could see the magic circles inscribed on the bracelet. If it were a normal bracelet, it might not enter her eyes. But this kind of bracelet was something she couldn’t underestimate.
“This is a bracelet that uses the same technology as the cloud-repelling device. However, their function is different. I call this Space Bracelet.”
