Chapter 1732: First clash (1)

After the reports of the mutated orcs, no one wasted any more time as they sent their forces to the land near the land of the orcs.

Since the mutated orcs were already appearing, it was only a matter of time before something more serious came.

That meant that there really wasn’t any time to waste.

As for me, I just brought my royal guards with me.

There really weren’t many others that could be brought since there were only so many wyverns that were out there. It wasn’t as if the number of wyverns grew that quickly since they weren’t a species that could reproduce quickly.

At the same time, most of the special elites that had been trained had already been added to the royal guards.

So the group that was guarding me was already twice as big as before.

It could be said that the elites of the Kite Kingdom had all been committed to this journey to the land of the orcs.

But in reality, it was more that they came along to babysit me.

It wasn’t as if they would lose every single troop that they sent, but it was unlikely that all of them would come back. Especially since they were fighting against a race that was as fierce and brutal as the orcs.

“Keep an eye on the Democratic Union for now. Make sure that they don’t make any sudden moves. We might be thinking too much, or they might really be up to something. However, we can’t actually do anything unless we have evidence of this matter or else the racial alliance will collapse.” I said to the ones that reported this matter to me.

It wasn’t just one or two people that had doubts about this, it was all three of the other empires and the main forces of the other races that had these doubts.

It seemed that there wasn’t a single country that still had a good impression of the Democratic Union.

Only we really couldn’t make a move on the Democratic Union right now.

Even if the leaders of the Democratic Union were terrible, that didn’t mean that everyone in the Democratic Union was to blame. At the same time, the Democratic Union was the human empire that had the highest population.

It was said that at least 30% of the human race lived in the Democratic Union.

This was more than two of the other three empires combined.

The reason for this was because of the magic machines that the Democratic Union possessed that allowed them to revolutionize farming. As long as enough food could be guaranteed, then it was only natural that the population grew.

So that meant that there were plenty of innocent humans that were living in the Democratic Union.

But that didn’t mean that we would allow the Democratic Union to put the rest of us in danger either.

The moment that they showed their cards, that was when we decided what to do with the Democratic Union.

Even though we had plenty of troops, we also travelled quickly since we shared our resources. In no time at all, we arrived at the edge of the land of the orcs.

When we arrived, there was a group that was waiting to welcome us.

With how many of us there were, it was impossible for them to miss us.

That was why there was a group of mutated orcs that were waiting at the border for us.

The moment that we came into sight, those mutated orcs came forward.

It didn’t seem like they cared that they were completely outnumbered. It seemed like they believed in their strength as they suddenly charged at us.

Seeing this, I also didn’t waste any time flying forward on the back of Joan.

Since they were coming at us, that meant that this was the perfect chance for me to test something.

“I’ve heard about how resistant you are, but I want to see it for myself.” I said while putting one hand on Joan’s head.

While we were flying at the mutated orcs, she was also gathering her flames in her mouth.

But she had become much more skilled at controlling those flames so that she didn’t have to open her mouth anymore. She was able to gather them in her mouth and shoot them at the last second just so they wouldn’t be able to dodge that easily.

However these orcs weren’t just strong, they were also quite fast.

It didn’t take them long to cover the space between us and come very close to where Joan and I were.

I really need people that aren’t incompetent…
