Capítulo 692: There

The glow in Theron’s eyes slowly faded.

At the corner of the room, the attendant didn’t dare to speak a word. Theron had just spent an obscene amount of money, and though they were all Gold Mancy Spells, he could clearly see that they were of two types. And any Gold Mancy Spell that was that expensive clearly had an impressive lineage behind it.

By this point, he just wanted to shrink himself as small as possible.

“The process for Three Stripes,” Theron said.

The attendant jumped up. “Yes, right, sorry sir. I don’t have the authority to push something like this through. Please follow me.”

Theron wasn’t surprised, so he obliged. It wasn’t long before he had been escorted to the top floor, though not short of many issues along the way.

He learned that his attendant’s name was Wyzman, and the young man’s standing wasn’t exactly all that great. The good thing about Wyzman, though, was that he seemed to be very much aware of this.

Maybe earlier today, when he dismissed Theron, he was only doing so out of frustration. Though, all things considered, his “dismissal” wasn’t exactly rude. It was more so a bit of a waste of time for Theron.

This aside, Wyzman had all his ducks in a row as he made it through row after row of security. He even managed to stave off a few who tried to poach Theron away and steal his commission from under his nose.

While Wyzman was a bit timid, he wasn’t a fool, and he played the game of politics quite well. By the time they got to the top floor, Theron actually found himself being a bit impressed. But… it also solidified something else within him.

Wyzman was intelligent—more so than most Theron came across. He was well-studied, and there had never been a question Theron asked that he didn’t know the answer to. However…

He was at the bottom rung of this place.

He didn’t have any power, and he had no choice but to skirt around issues even when he was being directly disrespected.

Theron wasn’t opposed to doing things like this. He, himself, had lowered his head several times without a single second thought. But, when push came to shove, he still had his blade to rely on.

Wyzman… didn’t seem to have that.

This was the sort of intelligence Theron didn’t want—

Theron’s eyes suddenly sharpened the moment he stepped onto the top floor. Something hung in the air that was all too familiar.

His gaze flickered, and his [Entangling Blood Vein Pupils] pulsed for the slightest moment.

Now, so long as he wasn’t using them to actively control Mana in the air, he was far more confident in hiding their presence. After all, his Soul was on the same level as lower-level Dome of Heaven Realm experts, and because he had purified it and advanced it using the most perfect methods, it was a rival—and even superior—to many at the pinnacle of the Dome of Heaven Realm.

There weren’t many things he didn’t want others to sense that they could.

‘Assassin.’

There was an assassin here. Or, more accurately, the series of formations that formed the pendant they carried around was here. Theron had made great care to study it inside and out.

He, of course, couldn’t sense the pendant when it was just lounging around by someone’s waist. But it was a completely different matter if it had been used.

And one had just been used. Recently.

“Stay here,” Theron said coldly.

Taking a step, Theron suddenly vanished in a flurry.

He could sense an opportunity hanging in the air. How could he miss it?

He was already moving before he had even thought through a full plan.

Wyzman tried to reach out to stop him, but he was far too slow.

The top floor of the pavilion had an expansive landing zone, elevators of glass running up walls as people shot in and descended back down. The sudden movement of someone as powerful as Theron didn’t even cause the building to sway. It was a foundation built to withstand Dome of Heaven experts; it wasn’t a surprise that Theron wouldn’t cause a change.

However, that didn’t mean that others wouldn’t sense the sudden shift as Aether moved in waves and the wind kicked up.

“HEY!”

A security guard immediately took action. Though their title was simple, their actual strength was obscene, already being at the Quasi Dome of Heaven Realm for a mere security guard.

However, Theron only tapped a foot and shot through a pair of doors, the halls opening wide. Countless private rooms dotted the sides, and it was hard to tell where to even begin. It felt like one was entirely surrounded by a maze the moment you took a step inside.

But Theron’s feet seemed to guide themselves. One step, two, three… he surged past corners and around them, ducking and dodging those that attempted to stop him as though a speed-based Flux Mancer.

Maybe at this moment, not a single soul would assume him to be an Elemental Mancer at all.

But he knew he was getting closer, sharper, until—

‘There.’

Theron suddenly came to a forceful stop, the winds booming around him and buffeting against the walls and door. He looked straight up and pulled out a spear, its blade rotating with menace as he suddenly thrust it directly upward.

BANG!

Even the building couldn’t withstand such a commotion as everything went wild.

Barely anyone noticed a stealthy figure suddenly drop down from the ceiling, looking at Theron in confusion before she turned to run.

Theron was faster, cutting her off. However, he was quick to realize that it wasn’t a speed gap that gave him an advantage, but instead his planning.

This was no normal Dome of Heaven expert—they were in the Sixth Resonance.

A light palm danced through the air and seemed to phase through Theron’s block, reaching right for his chest with a pat.

His pupils constricted. This palm was too powerful.
