Capítulo 674: Or

No one expected this matter to end with Theron simply walking away, a looming bronzed platform following after him. His steps weren’t particularly fast either—it was almost like he was taunting his enemies on his way out.

His steps paused for a moment, and he turned toward the twins as he walked by them. The two shuddered. They were already on their knees, but their foreheads slammed to the ground an instant later.

Theron didn’t say anything, just watching them for a long while, his mind unreadable. There was nothing that gave much of anything away in his expression, almost as though he didn’t have the slightest hint of emotion.

After a long pause, he simply continued to walk as though he had never stopped in the first place.

Ilzan could only watch him go, his gaze incredibly gloomy.

If Theron used the King Soul Lamp to kill Lyrah like he was implying, he would be finished. This task of protecting Lyrah was relatively laid-back, but the Patriarch himself—though usually quite easygoing—would destroy him in body and spirit if such a thing were to happen.

Of course, Ilzan had no idea that the King Soul Lamp couldn’t control a Quasi Dome of Heaven expert. Theron also couldn’t use it to kill Lyrah either. At most, he could cripple her ability to reach the next realm by destroying that sliver of her soul.

But Ilzan didn’t need to know that, now did he?

…

Theron took the strongest of the ships he could out of there, but he didn’t use it for long.

When he thought he was out of Hall airspace, he abandoned the ship in a soaring path into the void, bringing out a flying vessel the unnamed cultivator had left behind.

It was designed for just a trio of people at most, and its speed was much faster. Theron just didn’t want to use it in front of too many people, just in case.

Theron hesitated for a long while about where to go, but eventually, he plugged in a destination and shot toward it. His scope of understanding of the universe was far deeper now than it had ever been before.

The depths of his mind were consumed by thoughts of his previous efforts. It seemed that his life was destined to be filled with hardship.

He closed his eyes and leaned back.

In the end, he had been forced to put the Nightingale Ancestor Bird in the same location as his other top-of-the-line treasures. If he tried to put the Dagger Call Platform in the unnamed cultivator’s ring, he knew that it would shatter to pieces the instant he did.

However, Ilzan hadn’t left him with many other choices. He was highly uncomfortable with leaving so many enemies alive, but once again, he wasn’t strong enough.

He had no choice but to use schemes to escape once again because his fist wasn’t large enough.

Theron’s jaw clenched. Though his eyelids were closed, one could practically see the furious flames dancing within them.

Flashing images of his sister, his parents, and Malaya passed by one after another. As though timber falling into the flames, they forced them to rage stronger and taller, more powerful to the point it felt like his eyes might melt from the strain.

After a long while, Theron exhaled a breath so chilly he had to wave a hand before it fried the components of the flying vessel. When his eyes opened, they were as sharp as a blade.

He sat up, sending his mind into the space the Dagger Call Platform was within. An avatar of his stood before the chained box, staring daggers at it.

“I’m sure you understand that your situation has changed,” Theron said softly.

It, indeed, had. Before, Theron struggled to keep it locked away. But after his breakthrough, his connection with the Dagger Call Platform had increased significantly. He could practically hold the Nightingale Ancestor Bird here indefinitely if he wanted.

While his own power would only continue to grow, the Nightingale Ancestor Bird had a very finite amount.

The difference between a Soul in the Cloud Realm and one a quasi step away was as vast as the Heavens and Earth. It couldn’t be compared, and the Nightingale Ancestor Bird felt this intimately.

Even just a single Mandate fusion would have sent Theron’s soul into the stratosphere, let alone the fact he had four. Not only did he have four, but they were all incredibly compatible with the very same bloodline that made his soul so powerful in the first place.

And yet, that still wasn’t all.

On top of having four Mandates, every single one of them was formed of nine Bronze Laws, three Silver Laws, and a Gold Law. They were near the cream of the crop for Mandates and fed off of one another, making them far better than the sum of their parts. It was no less of an exponential increase than a breakthrough into the Dome of Heaven Realm would have been.

Of course, Theron was still a First Resonance Gold Mancer. But with this level of soul, and his Cores, his progress would be accelerated by an exaggerated degree.

He bet it wouldn’t take him more than half a month to reach the Quasi Cloud Realm, and since his soul had long reached Gold Mancy, he wouldn’t face a bottleneck or Tribulation to enter the Cloud Realm.

It had to be remembered that the Tribulations people thought they faced in the Gold and Cloud Realms were actually just both Gold Mancy Tribulations.

There wouldn’t be another Tribulation to face for a very long while. It was like Theron had a free runway right before him.

But he was far from satisfied. Not even close.

“So, I will give you a choice. You can tell me what is going on, and I will let you live. I will certainly kill Matriarch Nightingale one day, but you can continue to wait for a new candidate to revive your Clan.

“Or, I can destroy you right now.”
