Reborn As Noble - Chapter 991
Capítulo 991: Briefing His Heart ( 991 )
Javier arrived back in the throne hall, the celebration still in full swing.
He glanced around and spotted Liana and the others at their table. She smiled when she saw him, and he made his way over.
“Young Master,” Liana greeted, her voice warm as she gestured for him to sit.
Gloria adjusted her glasses and stood, the light catching the gold rims as she refilled his wine glass. Liana rose smoothly and moved to the buffet, returning with a plate piled high with roast meat, his favorite cut, still steaming.
“Young Master. Eat.”
“Thank you, Liana, Gloria.”
He looked toward Felicia, Mimi, and Delya. Felicia’s tail swayed slowly as she watched him, Mimi was licking sauce from her fingers, and Delya was dreamily stirring her dessert. “You all aren’t eating?”
“Husband~ we already ate while you were gone,” Felicia reminded him gently. “Don’t you remember? Before His Majesty summoned you?”
“Ah… right. My bad.” He offered a sheepish grin, rubbing the back of his neck.
“What’s wrong, Young Master?” Liana asked, her eyes softening with concern.
“Hmm? What?”
“You look… deep in thought,” Gloria noted, leaning in slightly.
“You two really know me too well.” He sighed softly. “A usual, Father’s given me a mission.”
Liana and Gloria exchanged a look, then smiled. “We’ll change into our maid uniforms.”
“Actually… Liana, Gloria…” He hesitated, meeting each of their eyes. “This mission is for me alone. I can’t bring any of you.”
“Why?!” Liana’s eyes flashed, her usual composure slipping for a moment.
Ah, shit… here we go.
“This mission isn’t dangerous and won’t take long. I’ll go after this and be back as late as tomorrow morning or afternoon. Since I’m taking Buddy, you both know how fast he is.”
“But still…” Gloria began, but Javier smiled and calmed them down.
“I can’t, Liana, Gloria. You have to understand. Father already gave his command, and you know how strict his commands are. It’s not like it’s your first day, right?”
Liana leaned closer, wrapping both hands around Javier’s right arm. Gloria mirrored her on the left, her grip just as firm.
“Young Master… please… bring us,” Liana whispered, her voice strained.
Javier chuckled softly. “No can do, Liana, Gloria. You both know I can’t.”
“I don’t care. We’re going with you,” Gloria insisted, her usual calm wavering.
He shook his head, smiling faintly. “You can’t.”
“Why?!” Liana’s eyes glistened; a tear traced down her cheek.
“Well… Father already ordered Erinnette to make sure you two don’t follow.”
Both maids released his arms and turned away, pouting. Liana stabbed a piece of meat with her fork, glaring down at her plate. Gloria pushed her glasses up, her jaw tight.
Liana shot a sharp side-glance at Javier. “You better not go finding other girls out there,” she hissed.
Javier let out a soft laugh, then opened his dimensional storage. He pulled out five sleek mana glasses, handing one each to Liana, Gloria, Felicia, Mimi, and Delya.
Mimi perked up instantly, ears twitching. “Nya! The magic glasses! Now I can watch the market streams again!”
Liana and Gloria examined the devices, then looked back at him. “What are these for?”
“So you can check where I am,” he explained. “Live feed from the mana satellite, Sky Eyes tracking. But no contacting me via mana talkie until the mission’s done. Understood?”
Liana and Gloria exchanged a look, then slowly smiled. “Mmm… okay.”
He leaned in, lowering his voice.
“I’m will be going after this. If anyone asks where I am…?”
Liana and Gloria smiled knowingly.
“You’re sleeping in your room.”
Delya was turning the mana glasses over in her hands, peering curiously through the lenses. “Mmm… Danna-sama?”
“Yes, Delya?” Javier glanced over, his smile softening.
“How do I use this?”
Before he could answer, Mimi bounced in. “Nya! I can show you, Delya! We can see the market, watch people, even zoom in on the food stalls!”
“Oh…” Delya set the glasses down gently.
“Nya? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing… it’s just… boring.” She shrugged, her expression blank but honest.
Javier chuckled, catching Liana and Gloria’s amused looks.
Then he reached into his dimensional storage and pulled out a small, elegantly wrapped box. “Here.”
Delya’s eyes widened. She took the box, opened it, and beamed at the sight of handmade chocolates.
“Thank you, Danna-sama~ Ah… I love your homemade chocolate.”
She stood on her toes, kissed his cheek, and wrapped him in a tight, grateful hug.
Felicia smiled, slipping the mana glasses on. She nudged them up and glanced at Javier, tilting her head with one palm resting against her cheek, a graceful, gentle mimic of Gloria’s signature pose.
“Ara~ Husband~, please don’t forget about us.”
Javier chuckled softly. “I won’t. Besides, I’ll only be gone a day, not a week.”
“Still, Husband~” Felicia’s voice softened, a playful glint in her eyes. “I’m still waiting for my sweet moment… just like Liana and Gloria~”
Javier laughed, warmth in his tone. “Felicia~ just be yourself. I love it more when each of you is different. You don’t need to act like anyone else.”
Felicia’s cheeks flushed. She averted her eyes, her tail swaying gently behind her. “Mm… okay… if Husband says so.”
Meanwhile, Mimi was already fully immersed in the mana glasses, giggling as she zoomed in on something.
Javier ate the roast meat slowly, savoring the rich flavor as he glanced around his table.
Surrounded by the beauty of his future wives, each unique, each precious. Liana’s calm grace, Gloria’s poised warmth, Felicia’s gentle loyalty, Mimi’s playful energy, Delya’s dreamy sweetness.
He felt a deep, quiet happiness settle in his chest.
Yeah… This is why I need to end this mission fast.
So that fool Kimar stops sending spies into our nation.
I have more important things to do with my time than cleaning up his mess.
There’s so much I still want to invent.
I want to spend days with Buddy, exploring the hills and streams.
I want to be here, with my girls, in moments like this.
I want to see my brothers married, happy.
Especially Aelius and Athine… their wedding is going to be something special.
So: finish this fast. End these spies. Move forward with the plan.
And then… live.
Javier glanced around once more and smiled to himself.
Anyone reborn into a new world who doesn’t enjoy their life is a bloody fool.
It’s a second chance, to live fully.
Some might chase power.
Some might chase harems.
Some might chase wealth or a dream.
But me?
I chase everything.
And I’ll make sure I can have it all.
But the most important things?
Family. And peace.
Without sacrificing anyone else’s happiness.
