Capítulo 665: Emergency Meeting

In the Central City of the World, a large number of world leaders had gathered.

Vampire Clans, Pillar Clans, and other powerful clans of the world sat at the same table to discuss the things that had been happening in the world.

The first topic to be discussed was the disappearance of the Divine City.

A city as prestigious and difficult to access as that one, how could it suddenly disappear?

Simple: Matthew must have done something.

And since they had no idea what he had done, they had to call an emergency meeting to address the issue.

Along with most of the leaders, news also arrived that the war in the Kingdom of Blacksmith had ended. And they had been completely massacred, with Matthew responsible.

“That guy’s ability is on another level,” said one of them upon hearing the news.

“Indeed.” Another nodded. “Waging war against the church within the Dark Kingdom, destroying numerous cities in a matter of weeks, then waging a swift and decisive war against Richter and winning. I’m afraid the level of logistics he handles is in a league of its own.”

“And if that were all, we could say he’s just a good guy planning wars.” The leader sighed. “But he destroyed the Becker Clan in a few hours and in a single large-scale battle, and within a few days, he was already in the Kingdom of Zimmermann, where he destroyed its capital to free the hostage, but he still had enough time to wage war in the Dark Kingdom with the Kingdom of Blacksmith and win it by massacre!”

“Damn.”

The leader groaned after saying all that.

Everyone agreed that he was truly in a completely different league. But that didn’t mean they would give up.

“It doesn’t matter, anyway; it has been difficult for us to establish ourselves on this side of the world because of the complexities Dietrich left behind, so it makes sense that a native of this side could do all that.” The eldest among them was the one who said it, and everyone looked at him.

“You’re right, Great Sage. But we must do something about this advance. What do you think we can do? He conquered three kingdoms in a few months.”

“Well, there’s not much we can do about what he’s already accomplished. Now it’s a matter of preventing him from accomplishing more. Once reinforcements arrive from the other side and when the Young Master comes out of seclusion, there will be no Matthew Dietrich to stop us,” declared the Great Sage.

“Do you mean we should contain his advance?”

“In short, yes. With our information network, obtaining information from within those territories will be quite easy, so I think it’s the best option.”

The leader agreed. “We’ll have to make numerous arrangements, but with all the blood we’ve stored up over so many years, we’ll be able to spend years of continuous growth avoiding wars. Besides, a lot of extra blood had to be collected because of that war, right? Everyone in the blacksmith kingdom died.”

“I’m sure we got many tons of blood from that war alone, but getting to it now will be complicated. Besides, that could slow down the Greater One’s plans.” One of them reminded him from a corner of the room.

The leader had to frown. That was true.

In the end, they looked toward another section of the room, where certain special people were sitting attentively and listening.

“Perhaps the vampire clans have something to say. They’ve ruled this world for a long time, haven’t they?” The leader smiled.

Relish smiled. “We have many blood reserves around the world, but I think humans are still the specialists in this field. They have so many people that they seem to have been killing off the unnecessary ones for millions of years to fill seas of blood.” He said, looking to the side at a man who seemed quite old, with a long white beard.

“I think the Lord of Ice can testify to that.”

“Sigh.” The Lord of Ice sighed. “We have a lot, and obviously, we will use it. But I have my doubts about whether waiting is a good idea.”

“Oh?” The Wise Lord looked at him. “What are your thoughts?”

“Do you think we can grow at the rate that Dietrich can? Don’t forget who he is, vampire lords. He’s not just any Dietrich. He’s Matthew Dietrich,” he reminded them.

Matthew Dietrich.

Naturally, they understood. They knew very well the dangers of giving that person more time.

They hadn’t lived long enough to have experienced it firsthand, but stories from the past told that this guy was so talented that, in less than three decades, he had attained the powers of his ancestors.

Even the Great Dietrich had placed all his hopes in him… in fact, he did. His rebirth meant that all this time, what the Great Dietrich had invested in isolating this piece of the world was solely to await his return.

If a person like that man had blindly trusted a young man like him… then it could truly be said that they could be facing the greatest of all time, in terms of talent.

But 10 million years have passed. The world here seems to have weakened, but outside…

The leader, though thoughtful, smiled.

“We’re not going to wait around thinking about growing at their pace, because that’s impossible. We’re just going to wait for reinforcements to arrive. Ten million years have passed, and although there is still a bastard remnant out there bothering our plans, the world has progressed tremendously. We are becoming increasingly powerful. If that Dietrich Clan were to rise again and have the same strength it had before, I am sure we would still win,” said the leader.

He continued. “That’s why waiting will only make us stronger, and even if he grows, he’ll never be able to compare to our external forces. In five years…” Then he smiled and shook his head. “No, in three years at most, he’ll be no match for us. It would be dangerous if he escaped and hid for a few thousand years, but less than a decade is still not enough.”

He was sure of it and had a basis for saying so.

The Great Sage agreed. “Besides, it’s a decade on this side of the world. You understand what that means, right?” he said. “Vampires need more and more blood or more powerful people to grow. Here, he is completely limited. Unless he has found a way for his former power to be out there still, and he has to recover it, there is no way he can grow that much.”

“And we all know that that only option is impossible,” added the leader.

With his words, practically all the doubts of those at the table were dispelled.

“That being the case, shall we do it this way?”

“It’s the best decision for now. At least until we find out what happened to that city and the Young Lord returns.” The sage nodded.

“Very well, then it’s decided.”

“Now let’s move on to another topic.” The leader spoke and looked at the Lord of Ice. “I want to know about that girl… Charlotte Adams. Is she really the seed of the Great Adam?”

NTA:

This is the end of Volume 4. I thought I could handle the war scenes better, but honestly, I think I overestimated myself. I must say that this volume has been one I’ve enjoyed writing in certain parts, but I got really stuck on the war sections. Many times, I didn’t know how to continue, even though I knew what was coming, and in the end, I had to rush it because I would never finish it otherwise. I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading, and sorry for the inconvenience!
