No matter how powerful you are, if you are attacked in the neck and have no protection against that attack, you will die. This is true even for these pseudo-immortals. The neck is their greatest weakness, which is why they usually take the most care to protect it.
But this time, they had no chance to protect it. She swung her sword once more toward the head of someone whose reaction was slow.
“Damn woman…” One of them suddenly appeared behind her, the one who had fought her before. “Die!” he shouted, attacking the very place Isla was attacking: the neck.
“So fast?” Isla tried to dodge the attack, but she couldn’t.
Suddenly, the sword sliced through her neck, and the attack didn’t stop there. He attacked several more times, cutting through her with great precision as if he were cutting boneless meat.
That sword was so powerful that in an instant, Isla’s mighty flesh was torn to pieces. Her entire upper torso was destroyed, and her head was severed from her body.
Meanwhile, her lower body staggered as it lost its upper half.
They watched this in shock.
“That easy?”
“Brother, that sword…”
“Haha, it was given to me by the leaders. They say it’s the worst enemy of immortal vampires. It’s said to have existed 10 million years ago and was used to…” He was proud of it and of being its bearer, when suddenly he saw that one of the legs of the woman in front of him stepped back to stabilize herself and…
Her entire upper body began to recover at an alarming speed. In less than 2 seconds, she was completely recovered.
Head and all.
That made them tense up.
Isla, for her part, frowned. “How strange it feels to have your head cut off,” she said.
She clearly didn’t like it, even though it wasn’t serious and she knew it. That was why she had decided to stay here.
If she were another immortal vampire, like the ones that existed 10 million years ago, she would surely have died if she had been attacked like that.
But she knew the kind of immortality she had. It wasn’t like the immortality vampires had back then.
She was still baffled that this immortality was hers.
“Matthew…” She clenched her fists slightly and looked at her enemies, who trembled and took a step back at such a shocking scene.
But she didn’t care.
“I’ll help you, even if my immortality kills me someday.” She made up her mind.
She closed her eyes for a brief moment, and when she opened them, they shone, and her figure flickered until she appeared right behind her enemies.
“Do you know why I wanted to be alone?” she said, swinging her sword firmly at one of her rivals. It was so fast that none of them could react in time to defend themselves.
It wasn’t until one of their allies’ bodies ended up torn to shreds that they were able to attack her.
“Attack, this woman is too dangerous!” he shouted.
Their attacks were not as effective as the first time. Isla was faster, more powerful, and more accurate.
She suddenly passed through one of them, wounding him from his abdomen to his back, and spoke.
“Because every time your attacks are truly effective against me, I regain strength. In short, if you manage to land good attacks on me, I will become stronger.” She sneered. “So I invite you to hit me. I hope your strength is worthy of what your followers say.”
She re-entered a bloody battle against the remaining four.
His power was tremendous, but theirs was not far behind. In terms of pure power, they were very close, but it was his immortality that gave him a brutal advantage. He practically never ran out of energy.
His body was an inexhaustible source, his attacks never ceased and never weakened. Although the others enjoyed large reserves of energy, they were nothing compared to the senseless amount of energy this woman had.
She simply never ran out, not even for a moment. It seemed as if she was even increasing.
Even though they tried a thousand and one ways, with that sword, to knock her out, including petrification, nothing worked.
The immortality she enjoyed was simply otherworldly; she was able to break the petrification.
In the end, they were exhausted, one dead, the rest forced to retreat. One had only one arm left, another was missing a leg. Although they would soon recover, they couldn’t continue fighting someone who seemed to have infinite energy.
“Tsk, cowards.” She grumbled and grabbed a sword that had been left behind. “Well, at least I have some loot.” She smiled and looked ahead. A sea of people rushed toward her at that moment.
Stopping those who were leaving was impossible in the face of such an absurd number of people. Although they had seen their leaders lose, none of them felt intimidated.
They seemed to have gone mad, as if they had entered a frenzy of insanity.
She swung her sword from left to right, swaying among the crowd, killing everything she saw, until her head could take no more and fell to the ground.
“I still don’t control it well,” she thought.
Countless swords and spears pierced her body; everyone wanted to kill her. But those attacks were barely a tickle to an immortal. Although she was affected, her body continued to recover, and the attacks were ineffective.
They caused her a little pain, but nothing she couldn’t bear. Because of this, even though she was being attacked continuously, she continued to look at the sky between the slits left by the attacks.
No one could hurt her enough for her to regain any power, so she soon swung her hand hard, and even though she was mentally exhausted, her attack was powerful and killed several.
Just then…
Explosions around the battlefield began to sound repeatedly, and a small-looking army of about 15,000 troops began to wreak havoc, proving that she didn’t need numbers to win this war.
Even so, this was simply causing the deaths of countless people around the battlefield, so Isla frowned.
“This can’t go on…” she thought.
She quickly located the group of powerful women, still fighting in a bloody battle.
“Even with reinforcements, it’s difficult,” she thought. They were many pillars and leaders of the enemy kingdom. Although they had many troops, facing such a large number of people with more than 150,000 in power was complicated.
So she ignored the concerned voices of the people who came to help her and ran to where they were to assist them.
