Chapter 930: Placing An Auction

From afar, Kent saw the two guards, so he was prepared to handle them.

One of them was a Dark Elf with greenish hair, and the other was a human with red hair, clearly marking him as a Flame Human.

Kent was already aware of the type of humans on this side of the universe. His past incarnation as Jest had interacted with Elemental Humans before, so he wasn’t too shocked to see them now, either.

Even Pill Monarch Nefeli is a Plant Human, or as most call them, Wood Humans.

Kent stopped when the Dark Elf spoke.

With his cultivation, it was only natural for him to halt when a Spirit Sovereign gave a command. Of course, Kent chose not to cause trouble, especially when there were dozens of Heavenly Ascension stage powerhouses around.

“Today is a Quarter Auction at the Brown Maple Auction House. It has already started, so go back and return tomorrow.”

In a twist, the Dark Elf didn’t speak arrogantly as one might have expected. He merely said what any normal person in his place would have said.

Kent sighed, a disappointed look flashing across his face. “Too bad. I guess I will take my business elsewhere.”

Kent turned and was about to leave when the Flame Human spoke. “If you don’t mind me asking, little brother, what do you want to sell?”

A smile appeared on Kent’s face as he turned back to look at the two guards.

“I was told that if I want to auction anything soul-related, I should come to the Brown Maple Auction House.

Naturally, I didn’t know today was auction day, since I had only just arrived in this city. However, I believe that if you allow me to enter and display my commodity, the auction house will see a bountiful sale today.”

If at first Kent wanted to auction a Spirit King, then upon sensing ten Heavenly Ascension stage monsters inside the auction house, he raised his aim to a Spirit Lord. And it wasn’t just any ordinary Spirit Lord—Kent was aiming to sell a Spirit Soul from the Forsaken Race.

He had already done his research before coming to the Pill World. From what he knew, because of the World’s limitation immunity on Forsaken warriors, their bodies and souls were a hot commodity in the universe.

So Kent wanted to make sure his pocket was filled once again. Being rich in the future had made him a heavy spender, so he intended to walk away with a bountiful harvest today.

The two guards looked at each other, then smiled at Kent. “We may be able to allow you to enter. But how sure are you that what you have will even be accepted before putting it on sale?”

Kent smiled faintly and leaned in toward the two guards. “How does a Tier 16 Soul Spirit sound?”

The two guards widened their eyes at what Kent had just said.

Kent had merely lowered the rank of the soul spirit to a mere Spirit Monarch since he knew that claiming it was a Spirit Lord would frighten them. Even a Spirit Sovereign would leave them gobsmacked.

“Are you sure?” the Dark Elf asked, and Kent nodded.

“I can show you if you want to see.” Kent smiled, almost appearing like a clueless child who didn’t know the dangers of this world.

The two guards looked at each other, and for a moment, Kent expected them to nod to his request. However, they shook their heads, and one of them took out a communication crystal and activated it.

“Lady Wu, there is a… uhm… There is a skinny human here who claims to have a Tier 16 Soul Spirit that he wants to auction. Should we allow him in, or should we send him packing?”

‘I am not skinny.’ Kent instinctively looked at his hand for a split second before sighing.

‘Maybe I should eat more.’

“Okay, Lady Wu, ” the guard put away the communication crystal and stared at Kent. He didn’t immediately speak. He studied Kent’s posture for a few seconds before stepping out of the way.

“You can enter. Lady Wu will personally meet you inside”

Kent smiles and nods. “Thank you, seniors,” he said with a nod. With that, he moved past them and entered the auction house. The moment he entered, Kent felt all forms of restraints working in sync to keep the tower in place and secure as ever.

Just the ground floor was already too large, and thousands of people will be able to walk freely inside. ‘From the outside, it doesn’t look this big, but now inside, it feels like a small town in here, ‘ Kent said to himself as he looked around.

There aren’t many people around, probably because today is an auction day.

Suddenly, Kent felt a pair of eyes land on him, causing him to instinctively turn. From a distance, he saw a lady dressed in purple cloths walking toward him.

Kent activated the enchanted eyes and looked at the woman. He saw she was a Spirit Monarch, just one step away from reaching the Spirit Sovereign stage.

The air of nobility emanated from her, indicating she was no ordinary person. Kent waited for her to get close.

“You are the one with the Soul Spirit, ” the woman asked, and this time Kent sensed the arrogance he expected from the guards.

“That will be me. My name is Kent” Kent introduced himself, but Lady Wu doesn’t seem interested in that. Instead, she was more focused on the Soul Spirit.

Kent didn’t seem offended. He expected to be treated like that, considering he was but a mere core formation expert. He waved his hand, and a soul flag appeared.

Lady Wu raised her brow slightly when the soul flag appeared. However, she showed no obvious reaction, which showed she couldn’t wait to see what Kent had to offer.

“Naturally, I wanted to auction a Tier 16 Soul Spirit, but after the warm reception I received from the two senior guards outside, I decided to auction a Tier 18 Soul Spirit from the…”

Kent paused and slightly looked at Lady Wu before shaking the soul flag,

From within, a soul spirit flew out, bringing a chilling feeling to the surroundings. “From the Forsaken Race”

Lady Wu, who held a calm and distant expression, suddenly took a few steps back, with a shocked expression painting her face.

Kent shook the flag, and a second Tier 18 Forsaken Soul Spirit appeared, multiplying the shock on Lady Wu’s face. The next second, however, Kent waved the flag, and the Soul Spirits vanished back inside, and the soul flag vanished from sight.

He smiled at Lady Wu before asking, “So what do you think. Do my commodities qualify to be auctioned off in your humble auction house?”

Lady Wu held her shocked expression for a couple of minutes, unsure of what to say. However, while she wasn’t speaking, her head was nodding the whole time.

After recovering, she looked at Kent with a respectful gaze, one that Kent knew wouldn’t change for generations to come.

“Little brother, if you don’t mind me asking, do you intend to auction both Soul Spirits?”

Kent smiled and shook his head, “I will sell only one”, he paused and read Lady Wu’s expression, which had turned dull, “But I might put the second one up for auction after observing your services”

Her expression brightened up hearing Kent’s last words. “Little brother, why don’t we put one up for auction now.

Today is our Quarterly Auction event. Although it had already begun, there is one more round of sales to come. We can add yours as the last item.”

“Lead the way, Lady Wu…”
