Capítulo 1269: Back To Planet Bayla

“RUN”

A short, dark-haired young man with obsidian-black eyes and a lean body shouted, throwing one of his daggers at a colossal snake whose body is coated in metallic plate carapace.

The dagger flashed through the air, aimed at the giant green eye of the snake with deadly precision.

However, instead of closing its eye even when it spotted the dagger coming, its eye remained open, but it slashed its tail forward, aiming to break every bone in the second person.

She too had short hair, and judging by how she dressed and the weapon she held, it was plain she was an assassin, just like the first person.

“Ryen, watch out!” The first assassin shouted, making his teammate aware of the danger coming. Thankfully, she jumped deftly into the air, a pair of batlike wings appearing behind her.

The snake missed, and the dagger found its mark. It stabbed at the eye.

However, instead of piercing through the giant green eye, the dagger bounced off it. It was like piercing a blunt pole through rubber foam.

“Ryen, run. I will hold it back for you to get away,” the young man said, jumping high into the air. He, too, had bat-like wings, allowing him to hover in the air.

He attacked with his other dagger, tapping into a powerful technique that manifested a large dagger forged from dark mist. It appeared overhead, and with a gesture, it moved, aiming yet again at the eye of the snake.

Looking at the snake’s scaly body, the young man knew that attacking anywhere else would yield no results. It would be a waste of energy. So he aimed for the part of its colossal body that was relatively soft… or at least should have been.

However, considering the snake’s size and comparing it to the dagger speeding toward it, the chance of the dagger doing any damage was less than 2%.

The snake was about 1.2 km long, its head alone about 200 meters wide. It was a giant snake that the two small assassins facing it had no business taking on.

One could only wonder how they found themselves in this situation.

The aura around them was that of peak Heavenly Ascension Stage warriors. However, job class-wise, they were both Shadow Emperors. This suggested they might be good assassins.

However, against a snake of this size and strength, they were lacking.

Ryen watched as the dagger again bounced off the snake’s eye. However, instead of waiting for it to rebound, she also fired an arrow, knowing deep down it would do nothing to it.

“Ryan, I am not leaving you. We either leave here together or die together,” Ryen said, zipping through the air as she dodged yet another tail slash. She landed on the ground and fired an arrow into the ground.

The next second, the sky changed, and a large arrow appeared, radiating darkness.

“Ryan, RUN!”

The young man was only on the move before, even a moment late, when the arrow appeared. A tremendous pressure fell on the snake, causing it to turn its attention to the arrow.

This gave the two siblings a chance to run.

However, they couldn’t move even a couple of meters when a powerful tail came out of nowhere, aimed at the two of them.

This time, even if they dodged, they wouldn’t be able to entirely escape the attack. They would be struck, and they knew the impact would cause them to lose in the following exchange.

Recognising the power behind the tail that had completely blocked their view, they quickly made a decision. They can’t escape it, and neither can they defend against such a strike.

They are but assassins. Defence is not their speciality.

In the end, they held each other’s hands, accepting their fate since there was no walking out of this.

“I am sorry, Ryan,” Ryen said, a tear falling down her face.

She tightened the hold on her brother’s hand, making sure even in death, they would never be separated. They had been a team from the very moment they started walking the path of assassins.

They had been through many life-and-death situations together. They learned so many things together that whenever they faced a target, they knew where to attack and how to do so.

However, this time they recognised the danger and knew there was no going home today. So while their death will break the heart of many, there is no escaping it.

Suddenly, just when the tail was meters from them, a figure appeared out of nowhere and extended his hand, blocking the powerful tail attack.

BOOM

Shockwave erupted, sending dust into the air. From how sudden the tail attack came to a halt, the shockwave was just too powerful.

Beasts within a 100-mile radius of the battle will be reduced to meat paste. However, the three people remained rooted in place, unaffected by the shockwave.

Ryan and his sister Ryen remained standing, unsure of what had happened. Soon, however, they did when someone spoke.

“Ouch, that hurt,” Kent screamed, pushing away the tail of the snake.

Taking his hand back, he saw tiny cuts and blood painting his palm. Ryan and Ryen opened their eyes to the back of a dark-purple-golden-haired young man.

Kent’s hair is a combination of three different colours. But while it was a beautiful sight, the two siblings were left stunned, their minds blank on what to do or say.

Soon, another line of sentence entered their heads… “Just what kind of skin do you have, bastard?”

A cold look appeared in Kent’s eyes as he turned to face the snake. He raised his hand, and 10,000 blood seals activated. Then, like a god, Kent gestured down and muttered coldly,

“Be suppressed.”

The snake, despite its size and might, froze, then, as if a planet fell on him, he came crashing down hard. An invisible force seized his body and slammed him against the hard floor.

BOOM

Its immense weight caused the ground to shake, with cracks forming along it. They snaked in several directions. Some even went as deep as a thousand feet.

Kent turned to the two stunned siblings and asked, “Do you want it dead or alive?”

“Huh?” Ryen hummed, unsure of what to say.

Kent smiled and spelt it out, mistaking their stunned expression for something else… “You know. The snake, do you want it dead or alive?”

“D-Dead,” Ryan stammered, but he said what needed to be said.

Kent nodded and turned back to the snake.

“For hurting my palm, allow me to test my self-created technique on you.” Kent made a fist and raised it. Then he muttered loud enough for the snake to hear:

“Divine Flame Armament – First Form:” His words never even left his lips when the sky turned green, a powerful burning heat fell on everyone.

From the cloud, golden knuckles painted in green flames appeared.

“Giant Gauntlet Descent.”

RUMBLE

The ground shook, sending shockwaves everywhere. Ryan and his sister shielded their faces from the heat as the giant gauntlet appeared.

Then, as if gods had pushed it, it fell hard with a crashing force and slammed into the colossal snake.

BOOM

The ground exploded, and lava spewed out, splashing for hundreds of miles in all directions. Kent and the twins were thousands of miles away before even the explosion happened.

Kent took them away without them even knowing how he did it.

When the explosion ended, Kent vanished and reappeared 5 seconds later. He waved his hand, and the body of the colossal snake fell, slamming to the ground.

He then turned to face the two siblings and said… “Greetings. I am Kent Madson. I trust this is Planet Bayla… right?”

He grinned.
