Capítulo 1263: First Soul Warrior – Calix Knoll (2)

Kent quickly pulled up Calix’s status page to see everything about him. Hearing that one of his aspects is a Forgemaster made him curious about what he is capable of.

As expected, his profile showed his name, race, rank, affinity, and Job Class.

He is a peak Death-stage Soul warrior with immense firepower.

His race is surprisingly a [Soul Demon] instead of a [Hell Demon].

Basically, that perfectly aligns with his previous form before he was killed. He was a Hell Demon previously, and now, after his rebirth as a Soul Warrior, he has become a Soul Demon.

Kent didn’t know if such a race existed, but he was sure Calix was qualified to live again among the living. And surprisingly, the one-time-only death has been lifted off him.

There is an ability tied to his soul called [Bind]. This ability has bound his soul to Kent, allowing him to draw sustenance from Kent’s Soul Essence.

However, that doesn’t make him a leech. If anything, it is a two-way street. Aside from living off Kent’s Soul Essence, he also pays that back in something called [Soul Crystals].

Kent doesn’t know what those Soul Crystals are for, but the fact that his Soul Cultivation has now moved from Tier 16 to Tier 19 after creating Calix told him there is plenty of use for them.

He would find out more.

However, the [Bind] ability means that after Calix’s death, his soul core will return to Kent’s Soul Universe and, using enough Soul Spirits, create him a new body with his memories and weapons intact.

If he dies, that won’t be the end for him. And it is all thanks to his [Soul Demon] race and the [Bind] ability that came with it.

However, instead of having a class called Soul Warrior, considering the ‘Soul Weapon’ ability literally allowed him to create such a being, he came out as a [Soul Reaper] with three affinities: [Soul], [Shadow], and [Fire].

The [Soul] affinity allows him to strike straight at the soul. Basically, if Kent were a Soul Warrior and he had this affinity, he would use it for soul battles rather than physical battles to injure the soul.

It is a dangerous affinity that many soul cultivators would love to have. Strangely, unless they became Soul Warriors, they would never be able to possess it.

Aside from that, his soul cultivation is already at Tier 23, which is comparable to a Root Immortal in soul cultivation. Additionally, he can also enter Kent’s soul and defend it if he were to meet a terrifying soul cultivator.

Kent possesses soul immunity, but he recently learned Flame Immunity isn’t the peak. So he wasn’t about to get cocky when he soon would be ascending to the Immortal Realm.

Calix has the power to command the soul, and as such, he is a danger. But he is also a powerful warrior.

Then there is the [Shadow] affinity that basically allows him to harness the elusive power of the shadows. He is not an assassin, per se, but he can be likened to already being a ‘Shadow Emperor’.

That is, one level above Kent’s.

This makes him a dangerous foe who can easily switch from soul to shadow without any discomfort.

Lastly, there is the [Fire] affinity that allows him to harness the power of his soul flame. Kent would have to examine this further to know more, considering it is elusive in a way. The description is vague, so he had no proper explanation for it.

Basically, his three affinities allow him so much power that, when used right, he can easily make him undisputed in battle.

But away from his affinities, there also are the four aspects that Kent wanted to see. He didn’t know what kind of bloodline Calix has, but these aspects are just too good to be true.

Aspects: [Battle Master], [Soul Master], [Shadow Master], and [Forge Master]

At first glance, it appears like the four aspects are basically a replica of the three affinities. After all, Soul for Soul Master, Shadow for Shadow Master, and Fire for Forge Master. The only thing new is the Battle Master.

However, comparing the two, while in a way they can be regarded as the same, they are also completely different, considering the Aspects have something called Aspect abilities.

That separates them from the affinities.

These abilities further allow Calix to harness the power of his affinities and, to some degree, merge them to create something good.

Of course, the [Battle Master] aspect allows him to adapt to any mode of combat easily. However, while merely adapting is something Kent has mastered, this aspect also allows him to improve his combat style in any battle he fights.

It is a must-have aspect that came with some bonus abilities.

The [Soul Master] aspect basically has to do with the soul. With knowledge from the [Battle Master] aspect, he can do more damage to the soul using this aspect.

[Shadow Master] is also on the same level as [Soul Master]. However, the added abilities to this aspect make him dangerous when harnessing the Shadow element.

Then lastly, the [Forge Master] aspect that basically allows him to harness the power of his soul flame and the soul spirits to forge whatever weapon he wants.

Kent saw that his inventory was very empty. This means he can forge more weapons from Soul Spirits and use them in combat.

But the best part is that he can forge weapons for others, too. And even better, unlike the one-time-use-only weapons Kent could make, Calix’s weapons are indestructible.

Naturally, Kent, who had been hoping to make powerful flying weapons, couldn’t, since he lacked the power to forge them. Now, Calix will fix that for him.

“Use half of the remaining Soul Spirits to forge some weapons for yourself and a couple of flying spears for me. I will use the remaining half to see what kind of weapons I could make.”

“As you command, my Lord,” Calix turned away and flew toward the thousands of Soul Spirits. Under Kent’s watchful gaze, he retrieved a forging table and some forging tools from his inventory and started forging.

He turned the Soul Spirits into blocks of metal ore.

Meanwhile, when Kent tapped into the [Soul Weapon] ability again with the intent to create weapons, a message appeared.

⟦What type of weapon do you want to make⟧

↠ Sword

↠ Spear

↠ Dagger

↠ Needles

↠ Darts

The options are limited to these five. However, Kent only needed swords and spears, which he could use as flying weapons.

The moment he selected those weapons, the option to add the materials appeared. He merely commanded half of the Soul Spirits, and they all turned into streaks of light and flew into a formation that appeared in the air.

⟦You will be alerted when the process is completed⟧

This time, he wasn’t given a time frame. However, he knew it wouldn’t be long before he had thousands of weapons to command.

After telling Calix to focus on his forging, Kent left the Soul Universe and went to meet Vexthra, who had returned while he was inside the Soul Universe.

She returned with a gifts and some bad news.
