Chapter 1077: Reinforcement
“Here I come.”
The classic line, spoken only by Kaizo, the Divine Angel Titan, spread across the battlefield.
From within the portal, Kaizo, clad in armless golden armor, descended, his fist crackling with lightning.
BANG
His fist connected with the jaw of a monarch, the first to appear from the rift. The smug expression on his demon face was wiped away by the fist.
His jaw shattered, and his teeth flew out, scattering across the ground.
But it didn’t end there. Kaizo’s fist, which was covered in potent lightning, had disoriented the poor guy, allowing a certain archeress to also make her move.
“Astra Arrow.”
An arrow was fired, which streaked across the horizon, drawing a beautiful line like a beautifully painted grid line by a seasoned painter before going through the demon’s head.
His brain exploded, and blood gushed out, painting the sky.
Up in the air, Unity appeared, holding her bow in her first grip. She is an archer but also a painter, so she started balancing the two, thereby increasing the lethality of her arrows.
Although her two primordial spirits are still sleeping, she is in no way weak.
“Showoff.”
Kaizo ignored the annoying Unity, who, aside from her uncanny accuracy with the bow, excels in annoying him.
It started as a rivalry at first, which it still was; however, they learned to work together to achieve their goal.
Kaizo is a brute with so much attack power. So, mostly, whenever he lands a blow, the lightning he imbues in his punch mostly disorients the targets, making them falter for a second.
That is when Unity mostly comes in.
She never misses, so Kaizo trusted her to get the job done.
Now that they are up against thousands of beings far beyond their current capabilities, he knew with Unity keeping an eye out, no single warrior would slip up on him.
Naturally, Kaizo is more than happy to get the battle going even if the odds stacked against him are far beyond his current strength.
Kent watched as his legion descended on everyone.
The Undead Legion led by Kaizo came.
The Eternal Wrath Legion led by Aetheris, the flame brute.
His wives, led by Vexthra. Even Lady Enzi and Liora came through the portal.
But they aren’t the only ones. The Bloodvein Tribe, led by Tribe Chief Malthar, also came to help Kent save this world.
The portal that brought Kaizo and the rest also came for the ladies who had just settled down on Planet Celestial Gate.
Now, all they can do is fight.
From the rift, hundreds of monarchs keep coming.
Of course, Kent knew his legion alone was not enough to hold them, so when he saw his goddess wife appear, he immediately contacted her.
[Vexthra dear, you don’t think now that you are in a different universe, you can use your abilities to clear the battlefield, right?]
Vexthra, who heard Kent’s words in her head, smiled.
‘I can’t. The least I can do is face off against other gods, which I can sense are actively scanning you and two others.’
[Let me guess, their targets are the extremely handsome but not quite close to my level white-haired young man over there, and the beautiful redhead spilling blood.]
‘Yes. They can’t touch you simply because you are not from this universe, but they can curse you, which I believe they have already.’
[I feel fine, love, so I guess their curse didn’t work on me.]
‘True. But they can break the rules and attack you. Also, if the gods attack, I can protect you and the lady, but not the white-haired man over there. For some reason, I feel like helping him directly will be a bad thing.
Honestly, I can’t even bring myself to think maybe they want me to help her. It seems they are looking for more excuses to kill him directly.’
[Then we shouldn’t help him directly then. However, we can help his friends, right? After all, there is no harm in helping the friends of a Paragon, the last time I checked.]
‘Yes. Alina is already on it.’
Vexthra looked around and saw that, despite bringing with her over four dozen warriors, the odds were still against them.
However, just when she was about to think of a plan, she spotted seven demons appear on the battlefield. Her eyes narrowed, scanning them.
“Strange, these seven aren’t like the others.”
Vexthra scanned a few warriors from Earth and tried to compare their auras. However, she arrived at the same conclusion.
“They reek of death and resentment.” As the goddess of hatred and resentment, she was able to discern some form of familiarity from them.
This caused her to narrow her eyes, sensing something suspicious. She traced their aura and saw they came from the white-haired young man currently facing off against six people she knew deep down had no business fighting.
‘Kent, do you have a way to talk to the Paragon?’
[I do. What do you want to ask him?]
‘Ask him whether these seven demons are from the underworld.’
[Okay.]
Vexthra could sense the aura of a god on them. In fact, this aura seemed to be influencing them somehow. Naturally, she wouldn’t have minded, but she could sense the aura of resentment on them.
That aura shouldn’t come from them, considering they also have the aura of death on them. So she could only come to a sudden conclusion—the seven demons were not happy about whatever or whoever released them.
‘They are warriors, and to think somebody is pulling strings to limit them. I hate gods that play games with mortals.’
[My dear goddess, it seems these seven are from the underworld. They came about thanks to the mercy of the underworld god.]
‘I see.’
Kent, who stabbed his claw into the chest of a monarch warrior, felt something strange come from Vexthra, making him raise his brow.
[Vexthra dear, you aren’t about to pick a fight with an underworld king, are you?]
‘I hate gods who play with mortals.’
Kent grinned. [Go kick his ass, will you?]
‘I will be back.’ Vexthra vanished from the battlefield, and Kent, who knew a god was about to have a very nasty day, grinned wildly.
“Oh, how I wish I could see that.”
[Don’t worry, big brother, we will record everything.] Just when Kent thought everyone had appeared, the three lolis appeared, clad in battlewear, even though they couldn’t fight.
“You three are angels.” The three mischievous lolis vanished from the battlefield too.
Kent could only grin happily. Although they were still losing, the fact that his goddess wife was about to have some action made him very happy.
Vexthra had been frustrated countless times when her sisters fought, and she couldn’t do anything. As a goddess, unless a god came after her man, she couldn’t do anything. So being presented with this chance felt like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Is he worried his wife will lose? Definitely not.
Is he worried his wife will succeed in killing a god? Kent knew that it was less likely to happen.
It wasn’t that Vexthra was weak in any way. If anything, she could easily kill a god since her law had already reached the threshold to become a supreme.
The only reason she hasn’t taken the supreme tribulation is because she was also walking the ancient path. She wanted to become a dual supreme, someone who walks both the Law Path and the Ancient Path.
However, Vexthra didn’t want to make things hard for her man, so she wouldn’t kill the Underworld King (god).
However, she was going to have a serious conversation with him, making sure he understood that messing with mortals had consequences.
