Chapter 1075: Angel Killer (2)

The last remaining angel commander clenched his teeth, his eyes burning with fury and hatred.

The death of his comrades sent a tremor of rage through his veins. In fact, the once-pure light surrounding him flickered and dimmed, turning dull red.

“Monster…” he hissed, his voice trembling between pain and hatred. “You’ll die for this.”

How all three of his companions died had enraged him to the point that his reasoning was being clouded by rage.

Kent didn’t bother replying.

His crimson eyes simply narrowed as he flapped his colossal wings once, sending shockwaves that cracked the earth beneath. The air trembled around him, and molten dust rose up as heat distorted the battlefield like a mirage.

‘So much battle experience for me, I guess.’

Kent has already recalled memories of Chaos (his first incarnation) battling many powerful foes.

So he isn’t a mere dragon, he is one with so much battle experience…

The angel raised both hands, his sword dissolving into radiant particles that began swirling around him.

The light condensed, forming countless spears of golden energy that hovered mid-air, their tips aimed at Kent’s massive body.

“Judgment Rain!”

Thousands of golden spears shot forth, piercing through the sky in a blinding onslaught that commanded so much power. Kent obviously saw this, and he knew he was about to have a nasty welcome.

After all, the poor angel was burning his life force to further empower his attack.

However, the Chaos Dragon wasn’t about to fear divine light when he had Nirvana Flames.

Instead of dodging, he simply chuckled. “Let’s see whose rain burns hotter.”

He opened his maw wide. The glow in his throat turned multicoloured. So much heat came from this multicoloured light…

It was the Prismatic Flame of Chaos, whose main aspects were Creation and Annihilation. Obviously, Kent sought to annihilate.

Suddenly, he exhaled a continuous stream of condensed plasma flames.

The two forces collided mid-air.

Multicoloured light and crimson fire clashed, exploding in bursts that tore through the clouds and scorched the heavens.

So much heat spread across many battlefields, causing many to turn in the direction of the explosion.

The sky turned into a canvas of multicoloured fire.

The ground quaked violently.

Shattered stones and flaming debris rained down as Kent roared, pouring more of his bloodline power into his flames.

“ROAAAAR!”

The dragon’s roar shattered several of the spears mid-air, but the angel pressed on, his divine energy surging to new heights.

‘He is burning more of his life force… Looks like this bastard wants me dead.’

⟦No kidding, Master. You should be careful.⟧

The angel commander extended his hand toward the heavens, his armour burning away to reveal glowing golden runes etched across his body.

⟦Those are divine runes.⟧

‘Looks like a god is helping him even now.’

⟦Yes, Master. But if they lose this battle, so many gods are going to have a bad day. After all, I can sense many of the angels using similar runes.⟧

‘So this is a bet against the laws, huh? Vexthra said something similar. She said that, to some extent, the gods can bend the rules; however, it would be a bet against the heavenly laws.

If they lose, they will lose their divinity, and their chances of getting it back will be slim.’

⟦Then we can only win and dethrone some gods.⟧

‘I like the sound of that.’

The runes on the angel’s skin continued to glow, and his divine essence formed around him. Suddenly, a powerful divine essence surged out, forming enormous golden wings that stretched hundreds of meters.

The divine light also formed an armour around him.

Kent immediately sensed a threat to his life, so he became alert.

“I am Commander Zevrael of the Holy Dawn Legion! If I don’t kill you, then may the heavens destroy my soul.”

Kent’s grin widened. “Big words for someone marked for death.”

The two launched forward simultaneously.

Zevrael’s sword reformed in his hands, blazing with divine light. Kent’s claws glowed molten red, the air rippling around them from sheer heat.

BOOOOOOOM

The shockwave levelled mountains in the distance, turning the landscape into a fiery wasteland.

It can be said that when this battle is finally over, the topography of Earth will be reshaped forever. The damage being dealt to it is already doing a lot.

Zevrael swung his sword downward, and Kent blocked it with his left claw. Sparks of divine light scattered across the scales, burning deep lines into his skin, but Kent didn’t flinch.

His right claw slashed forward, cutting through Zevrael’s armour and sending him flying back with blood spraying across the sky.

The angel crashed into the ground, carving a massive crater. But before Kent could finish him, Zevrael’s hand shot out, light erupting from his palm.

“Holy Seal: Angelic Domain!”

A circular formation spread beneath him, expanding rapidly until it covered the entire battlefield.

The moment the formation covered where Kent stood, a really bad feeling penetrated his heart. He could tell the danger filling the battlefield now was not going to be a walk in the park.

Golden chains of light shot out from the circle, binding Kent’s wings and limbs. In an instant, he felt his strength drain and the hold of the chains tighten.

⟦Use the Blood Death Seal⟧

‘Far ahead of you, Tower.’

Kent activated the Blood Death Seal he had refined back in Hell. He had the chance to only refine one, but after the quest, he received two more yet to be refined.

The moment he activated it, his strength was restored, but he could feel 20% of it still suppressed.

‘Chaos has been in many situations far more suppressing than this… I too can do it.’

Kent growled, his energy flaring wildly. The ground beneath him melted, forming rivers of magma as his power fought the seal.

Zevrael rose to his feet, battered and bleeding, his hair burnt and armour cracked, but his resolve unshaken.

He truly wanted to take Kent down, so he put everything on the line to get what he wanted.

‘He really wants me dead, huh?’ Kent’s draconic face held a grin as he made his move to free himself from these divine chains.

He spread his wings with all his might, the golden chains creaking.

⟦Master, you have accumulated some Chaos energy. You can use it to break free.⟧

‘I will need it later when I have no other moves left… for now, I have plenty of moves still left to make.’

Kent channelled energy into his body. Then, in an instant, his scales turned pitch black, and cracks of crimson energy spread across his body like molten veins.

The air shifted, and a primal feeling began to emanate from Kent. His aura changed.

‘This aura… it is similar to those Primordial Beasts. Don’t tell me he has a bloodline from the Primordial Era,’ Zevrael thought, horror dawning on his face.

Soon, the horror turned to fear.

In this universe, there are 14 beasts known as the Primordial Beasts. They are said to be creatures from the Primordial Era. They are calamities—beings that nobody with a functioning brain cell would dare go against.

Everyone was already aware that during the Primordial Era, the powerhouses that rose were all monsters in their own right.

They were dangerous, and Zevrael, who was privileged to watch a battle between 14 gods and a Primordial Beast, had since developed fear for them.

Feeling Kent’s aura now, the terror he felt when he saw those green eyes on that Primordial Beast had enveloped him.

His body shuddered, fear gripping him.
